Lin Yi had not stopped moving.

The Allheaven Expanse was not a static environment. The Ashenveil Predator registered his presence and dropped from its position in the upper air, the gravity field around it flaring outward as it committed to its diving strike. He stepped sideways on the approach, letting the diving trajectory carry past him, and drove the Celestial Lord Blade into the membrane between the wing joints on the left side as it passed. The mythical-grade weapon’s scaling with his attributes meant the strike produced an output that split the membrane completely, the energy discharge from the blade’s rune activation adding a secondary burst that disrupted the gravity field around the wound point.

The Predator screamed and pulled into a recovery arc, its gravity field fluctuating.

Lin Yi looked at the next cluster.

He thought about the jade ranking. Globally. Sixty million hunters. Three months. He would collect more than all of them in the remaining two months.

That was the plan. That was the minimum effort. That was the maximum reward.

He put the system panel away and drew the Celestial Lord Blade. The mythical-grade runes along its surface were brighter in this environment than they had been anywhere else, the Allheaven Expanse’s dense energy interacting with the weapon’s scaling properties in a way that made the effective output feel more present than the listed 405 attack power number suggested.
