Dom headed up the stairs and across his room to the Personal Chest, where he was excited to see the Mission Rewards. He opened it up and his mouth dropped at the amount that appeared, making him almost want to start the next Special Quest immediately that he had.

He put his hands in the chest and pulled the items out one by one. As he did so he asked Game Support to confirm which reward was from which quest so that he could track and try to work out any patterns from the quests and what they gave based on the scoring.

Dom looked at the small pile that he had pulled out of the chest and placed on the bottom of his bed, this was the biggest haul he had gained so far and there were some very important items within that could be useful. The first ones he was excited about were the Wooden Tokens, as these meant they could complete the upgrade to the Town Centre and level up the Town and it’s production.

The three new Green Cubes were also very handy and it meant that he could quickly build up Riverside with some more key buildings, the last ones he had received where the Docks, Market and Blacksmiths, so he was excited to see what was next. He hoped one of them would be a Warriors Hall so that he could get a ground based Ranged Unit, which would be ideal for city defence. He also wanted more options in the manufacturing district so that their would be more opportunities for goods to be sold at the market.

The Black Cubes were not needed right now with the large influx of new villagers, so Dom decided to have Lucius use them tomorrow or the day after when he did the daily spawns. Hopefully by then the Hittites had been settled and some form of normal routine was happening.

The Red Cube and Orange Cube were always a welcome sight, and a new Hero and Elite Villager were ideal options, he wasn’t sure if he needed Military or Civilian right now, so he would speak with Lucius, Shang Yang and Subutai about that. Those however were Cubes he would prioritise after using the Wooden Tokens and the Green Cubes.

The most interesting items however were the new ones that he hadn’t seen before, the White Cube and the White Token. He also received two random schematics, which he would draw and pass over to Sostratus and Wang Shu for building if they were priority buildings. Dom held one in each hand and asked the System to show him the information.

Dom was excited to see what he could receive, as there were many resources that Riverside was short on, ideally more seeds for the ever growing farmlands or new building materials that they could use to speed up construction on a permanent Bridge or the Watchtowers they were planning to start building after receiving the schematic a short time earlier. Dom then grabbed the White Token.

[White Token - A special invitation letter, that once used will take you to an important meeting, gathering or special auction that would suit your current needs. This could be a meeting with an important power or merchant, a gathering between leaders with a similar situation to yourself or an auction around the World that could have interesting items for your Towns growth.]

The White Token was very similar to the Golden Token’s in that it would take him to a different location, however it would have much more different impact on the growth of Riverside. Dom had heard that their would be an auction for some Lord Class players coming up, so he wondered if he would need to use this Token to go there or if that was a different thing. He decided to hold on to this for now and use it when things were more settled.

Dom grabbed the Green Cubes and Wooden Tokens, placing them in a small bag for carrying. He then grabbed the schematics and put them in between his arm and his chest. He was about to put the rest away when he decided he would grab the White Cube as well. He then put the rest of them away in to his personal chest until later, first he would concentrate on the building aspect of Riverside. He headed downstairs and was relieved to see that he only had Subutai, Shang Yang and Lucius waiting for him.

"How did it go?" Lucius asked as he saw Dom walking down the stairs with the schematics under his arm.

"We did well!" Dom exclaimed, "Two Wooden Tokens, three Green Cubes, One Orange Cube, One Red Cube, Three Black Cubes as well as some new items. We received a few new items as well, these blank Schematics which we can roll to receive random building blueprints, we also received a White Cube which spawns random resources. Finally we received a White Token which is similar to the Golden Token but on a more peaceful level, giving us a trip to a meeting with potential allies or a trip to an auction."

"That is a large haul." Shang Yang stated, "I think the White Token we need to look at in more detail and discuss."

"I agree." Dom replied, "I believed you would all want to look at the domestic side of things first before we look at anything else."

"Definitely." Lucius replied, "Then we can have a discussion about the Orange Cube, is it a Domestic or Military one?"

"It’s neither." Dom replied, "I’m suspecting we’ll get a choice, so that is one we need to discuss. We also have the Red Cube for another Elite Villager."

"We can come back to this later." Subutai stated, "I’d obviously be grateful for another Commander, but some support for Lucius and Shang Yang would be ideal, I know we have Meritamen, but I suspect her priorities will be in a different direction than Domestic and more Diplomatic."

"Where is Meritamen?" Dom asked, quite surprised that she hadn’t joined the rest of them and pester him about something.

"Tomyris has decided to take her around Riverside and show her things." Shang Yang replied seriously, "I think we need to have a conversation about this situation, you are a fair Lord and allow us a lot of freedom, which I hope you will allow us to keep, but may I speak my mind?"

Dom was worried about where this conversation was going, but he really did enjoy allowing the Heroes and members of Riverside to be themselves, it made the world more immersive for him and he felt it would be not only a more enjoyable game, but would help him grow better as a person.

"Please speak freely." Dom replied, causing Lucius and Subutai to lean in to the conversation, they were both the most senior people in Riverside after Dom, but everyone respected and treated Shang Yang as the expert and someone who should always be listened to.

"You have to take responsibility for the situation you are in, you may be young in your mind and not want to be ready for marriage, but for stability of Riverside and the Kingdom you want to grow, you need heirs." Shang Yang stated seriously. "However I would have held back on you marrying for now as marriage for a Lord needs to be at a political level, either to bring peace or a strong ally onboard. Will the marriage with Meritamen bring us an ally?"

"Her father is a King." Subutai replied for Dom, "He has a Kingdom, they are of a lower level than what I would have hoped for personally, but we are currently small and it is a good starting point."

"That is great, we can always find Concubines for further alliances in the future." Shang Yang replied, "But where is he? Is he nearby, because I doubt the alliance will be useful if he is not."

"Well they were in the special quest map, so I doubt we’ll see them again." Dom stated, "Plus I didn’t intend to get married, it was an accident."

"You say they were on a special quest map, but who says they won’t appear, we all did." Shang Yang stated, "I wouldn’t work on assumptions. You have married her regardless, so you need to treat her well as she is young and beautiful and you are being cruel to her in the way you are dealing with it."

"I think that’s enough Advisor Shang Yang." Lucius interrupted seriously, looking at Dom’s face after being told off, by an NPC on a game that he was the Lord on. "I understand your thoughts, but let’s move on to the key things for now and let Lord Lazarus make his own decisions."

"Sorry Lord Lazarus." Shang Yang stated, "I may have got carried away, I miss my own wife."

"No it’s fine, I understand." Dom replied kindly, patting his Advisor on the shoulder, "You are my friends and I want you to treat me like that as you have done since the start."

"Well then, what’s first?" Subutai asked, changing the conversation back to the serious matters.

"Wooden Tokens!" Lucius replied greedily, "Let’s level up!"
