[Sarmatian Female Mounted Horse Archers 3rd Century BC Warriors Hall

Sarmatian Female Mounted Horse Archers are from the Sarmatian nomadic culture, from around 3rd Century BC until the early AD’s. An ancient Scythian related people who derived from the combination of tribes from Southern Russia and Iran. They wore armour primarily made from Ox Hide, such as Corselets and Helmets. They used multiple weapons, primarily the Bow, as well as a spears and swords when needed.

They were excellent hunters and had absorbed many nearby tribes in to their nomadic civilisation. They were described as of greats stature and beauty, with somewhat yellow hair and frightening eyes.

Women were Warriors as well as men in some of the Sarmatian Tribes, and that is where these Warriors will spawn from]

"Sarmatian’s." Dom mumbled to himself, having not heard of this ancient race before. A lot of ancient history had very little passed down to modern times, bar from written texts that had been re-written over the thousands of years that had passed. He did agree with what Game Support said though, the Warriors were of great stature, being tall and athletic, with fierce eyes and blondish hair.

Dom then turned to the Stables Hut that was placed next to the Warriors Hut, before asking "Show Stats."

"Steppe Horse’s." Dom said, "No wonder Subutai wanted some so bad, they are the ideal horse for Horse Archers and his background is Cavalry and Horse Archers. I’ll need to discuss with him on how he wants to split the forces going forwards."

"They are beautiful aren’t they." Banas replied, "We were happy that when we arrived, we had these horses available for us."

"Game Support, can I convert these buildings to Riverside buildings please?" Dom asked.

[Would you like them to be converted in to individual buildings or merged?]

"What does merging allow?" Dom replied.

[If you choose Individual you will receive a Warriors Hall and a Stables. If you merge them you will receive a Cavalry Warriors Hall, meaning that rather than spawning as individual units, the Warriors will Spawn along side the horses, the building will also accumulate the levels and upgrade to level 2]

"Are their any downsides?" Dom asked.

[In this case, the buildings won’t be able to be separated in the future. Therefore if you receive other Cavalry related units, you won’t be able to give them this stables]

"How do you receive Cavalry Units?" Dom enquired.

[The same as you currently do when choosing a new Warriors Hall. All options are Random, but can be influenced based on your decisions. If a Cavalry type Unit is selected, but their is no mount, they will become the foot variant. Cavalry Warriors Halls are a separate building type that can be found found in cubes, schematics or created through the correct means]

"Thank you for the explanation Game Support, please can you merge it into a Cavalry Warriors Hall. If we can increase the level, then we should have better output." Dom replied.

"Please place it next to the Legionaries Warriors Hall and the current Stables." Dom asked.

The ground shook again as in the distance a large Warriors Hall appeared, with a stables attached to it. The images of women on horseback appeared. The Warriors who were stationed nearby all went over to have a look and Dom was pleased with this new addition. He planned to head over and view the stats of the two new buildings.

"So what happens next?" Banas asked Dom and Lucius.

"You can take on your new role as the lead Horse Archer." Lucius replied, "Myself and the Teachers will speak with the people and help them find new roles and tasks."

"Very well, I am sure Zanug will be wanting to talk with you as well Mayor Lucius." Banas replied, "He will most likely be with your farmers."

"I shall speak with him later then." Lucius replied with a smile, "For now I shall get on with this task, I also need to welcome our daily arrival of Villagers."

"Well whilst you do that." Dom replied, "myself and Banas can head over to the new Warriors Hall."

Dom and Banas headed across town towards the Warriors Halls, the clouds were coming closer now and the breeze was starting to pick up. This was the first time Dom had felt anything other than heat from World Conquest Online and was interested to see how the weather would impact the game.

They soon reached the Military Area, having walked through the busy town where people waved and smiled as they passed. She had asked many questions as they had walked and was pleased with her decision to merge in to Riverside after seeing how welcomed they had been, and how pleasant the people where.

They reached the new Warriors hall, noticing that Subutai and Tomyris were stood outside with Octavian. They were all admiring the large structure that was bigger than the previous Warriors Halls due to the attached stables. There was a central hall that was attached to the stables, with a barracks on the other side.

"Hey everyone." Dom smiled as he arrived, before asking the system to show him the stats of the new building.

Dom read through the data again, looking at the second line on the spawn type’s, surprised to see that as the Hall had levelled up and he had gained another specialised Unit type like he had with the Hoplite Warriors Hall, he was wondering what would happen if he upgraded the Legionaries Warriors Hall. Just as Dom was going to spawn troops he suddenly received another notification.

"System show stats!" Dom exclaimed, louder than he intended.

Steppe Horse’s - Peak horses (The best of the Steppe Horses are supplied)

Improved Weapons - Bows are from a more modern time, using Composite bows of the Mongolians from 1200AD. Lance’s are also reinforced with a stronger metal tip.

Not only was there an increase in daily spawns, but also an increase in Grade due to the improved weaponry and horses that would be supplied to the Horse Archers. He now realised the advantage of having a directly linked Hero, and felt that if he could get a Roman or Greek Hero he could have massive improvements to his other forces as well.

"Have you done the daily spawns?" Dom asked Subutai who was stood waiting for him to do what he was doing.

"We have, of course we haven’t done the new Warriors Hall yet, but we are ready when you are." Subutai replied happily, excited to see the Archers that would appear. "How many arrived a day Banas?"

"We had two a day." She replied, "We lost a few due to sickness, but if we can have a few weeks we can get our numbers to enough to be able to support Riverside’s forces."

Dom smiled at their responses before ordering the system to commence the spawns. Suddenly the doors to the central part of the Cavalry Warriors Hall opened and ten female riders appeared. Eight wore tight fitting thick leather armour, that covered only their chests, they also had leather strips that made a skirt that covered their upper legs, on their arms and lower legs were leather greaves and a few quivers were tied to the side of the large Steppe Horses that they rode out on. They also held small composite bows in their hands. Their hair was blonde and their eyes had fire in them.

Behind the first eight came two more female riders, however they wore scaled armour similar to the Legionaries, however it was slightly thinner. They also had metal greaves on their legs and arms, with a sword strapped to their waist, whilst holding a three metre long lance in their arms. The lance’s had a shiny metal tip that was sharpened and would easily pierce armour when at speed. Their Steppe horses also had simple armour that covered their faces and upper bodies.

As they appeared, they pulled in to a formation of ten, and saluted in unison. Dom looked at Subutai, Tomyris and Octavian and Banas’s faces, seeing nothing but shock and awe. Suddenly Subutai broke in to a huge smile and clapped his hands, his eagle Genghis circling above in the sky also let our a happy squawk.

"Why are my things not this good?" Banas grumbled.

"This is the magic of Riverside." Tomyris replied with a smile, face palming as she looked at the excitement on Subutai’s face.

"Tell me Lord Lazarus, is this real?" Subutai asked.

"Yes Subutai, we will receive eight Horse Archers and two Lancers per day." Dom replied, "Banas, you and your current Archer’s should be able to receive upgraded weapons and armour inside, you will also be able to find accommodation put aside for you. I am sure Octavian can show you around."

"This is the best day ever!" She exclaimed, "Thank you Lord Lazarus and Riverside for giving us this chance, we won’t let you down."

"You are very welcome!" He replied, "Subutai and Tomyris with me please, Banas go and explore."

Octavian walked in to the Hall with Banas, followed by the new Warriors that had spawned. Dom looked around and saw that there were plenty of other Warriors gathered around and helping out here and there.

"Has Gan Ning left already?" Dom asked Subutai as they walked towards the Town Centre.

"He has." Subutai replied, "He has headed across with Alexander and a contingent of the new Warriors and some of the more seasoned ones to continue with the Exploration. After he has got that set up he is going to head west to meet up with Leon and Erastus to check in on the Red Horse situation."

"How has everything been going?" Dom asked.

"We have not brought everything from the treasury and have cleared a few more corridors, it’s been slower paced obviously as we came to the battlefield, however progress is good." He replied, "Ideally I want to have this closed of soon and continue with exploration. We should catch up in the Map room today and plan our next steps."

"I agree." Tomyris added, "I think today would be ideal to get everything in order, but tomorrow I want to go exploring again."

"Ok, let’s meet in the map room in a couple of hours." Dom stated, "First I need to get the mission rewards and plan with Shang Yang and Lucius. Firstly though I believe we need to cover our tracks back to Riverside from the old area of the Nomadic Camp."

"I wouldn’t worry too much." Subutai replied, "Those clouds are going to unleash soon, Genghis’s feather’s are collecting a slight layer of moisture. If it rains as I expect, most of the tracks should disappear. They will be visible to a seasoned tracker, but their is very little we can do to cover that up. Really we need to come up with counter’s if we are discovered by a hostile enemy force, but we can discuss this later."

"With the current expected increase of Warriors, we can start planning more organised divisions within the forces." Tomyris said.

"I agree." Subutai said as they entered the Town Centre, "A North, East, West and Southern force would be ideal."

"We are short a leader for four forces." Dom mumbled as they walked down the hall towards the doors to the offices.

"Knowing you, it won’t be long." Subutai laughed, "Myself and Tomyris will head to my office and plan, we shall see you in the Map room later. If I see Shang Yang in Lucius’s Office, I’ll have him come meet you so he can help you out."

"Thanks Subutai!" Dom replied, grateful at the support from his Senior Commander. He left them and headed up to his room, looking gleefully at his personal chest in anticipation.
