Why do I keep attracting Villainesses?

Chapter 19.

It took a long time, but finally, the familiar, bumpy shape of the underwater cave appeared ahead.

As we got closer to the rocky opening, I realized we had a problem.

’ Yeah... This isn’t going to work.’

I slowed down, staring at the huge shark body trailing behind my mistress then looked at the small, dark tunnel.

How was she going to get that thing inside? Would it even fit, or was she going to hide it somewhere else in the reef? Maybe she had another place to keep food that I hadn’t seen yet.

But once again, the sea witch did something I hadn’t even thought about.

I watched in shock as she let go of the tail and swam under the shark, she grabbed it from below and, with a sudden burst of power, ripped the giant shark right in half.

I felt my stomach drop just hearing the gruesome sound of the dead beast being torn in two.

That was the first time I really saw how strong she actually was.

For a second, seeing a beautiful woman that powerful was almost attractive, but then I saw the mean, hungry grin on her face as she tore the meat apart.

I snapped out of it immediately.

’Yep... she’s totally crazy,’ I thought, staying a safe distance away.

Any attraction I felt was gone, replaced by the need to stay alive.

"Are you going to just stand there all day?" she asked. Her voice was sharp and bossy. "Stop being useless and come help me with this half."

’ Crazy and still as rude as ever...’ I said to myself as i swam over, letting out a helpless sigh, and grabbed the bottom half of the shark.

As I held the heavy piece, I watched the blood turn the water cloudy and saw the shark’s insides hanging out.

Surprisingly, it didn’t make me sick. Actually, it was the opposite, I felt a sudden, deep hunger just looking at the fresh meat.

That feeling scared me more than she did. To think I’d feel my appetite growing from seeing something like this.

’ I’m definitely not human at this point.’ my lips trembling, thinking to myself that this truly was a curse.

But even though I was hungry, I was confused because I was still in control.

That crazy bloodlust from before still didn’t emerge.

’What is she doing now?’ I wondered. My mistress was moving again.

She waved her hand slowly, and I watched the blood in the water do something weird.

Instead of spreading out, it started coming together in one spot.

’She can control blood too?!’ I was shocked.

But looking closer, I realized she was actually controlling the water around it, forcing the blood into a ball.

Quickly, all the blood was gathered into a tiny red ball no bigger than a marble floating in place in the water before her.

"Swallow it," she ordered.

She flicked her wrist, and the blood ball shot toward me, stopping right in front of my face.

I looked at it, not sure what to do. She was basically asking me to drink raw shark blood.

Every part of me wanted to say no, but she was looking at me with an impatient stare that said I’d be in big trouble if I refused.

What more could I do than give in when faced with something like that?

I gave in, opened my mouth, and swallowed it in one go.

The moment it hit my tongue, I was surprised by how rich and sweet It was.

It didn’t taste like metal or salt; it felt like a burst of energy. As if what I’d drank was similar to a sweet energy drink rather than blood.

’ What’s got her so warm all of a sudden?’

For a split second, I thought I saw a real, happy smile on her face, one that wasn’t mean. But when I blinked to get a better look, it was gone, replaced by her usual cold, bossy look.

’I must have imagined it,’ I thought.

There was no way a cold woman like her would look at me with any ounce kindness.

’ I bet she was just glad to see I couldn’t resist her in any way.’

I was just a servant to her in the end after all, a toy she liked to play with.

Now that the blood was gone and the water was clear, she swam into the cave entrance, pulling her half of the shark like it was nothing.

I followed her, dragging the heavy tail through the tunnels until we came out into the dry cave where this nightmare started.

Once we were on the dry floor, reverting back to humanoid form, she pointed to a spot.

We put the piles of shark meat right next to the pile of skeletons against the wall.

It was a weird sight, seeing fresh meat right next to the white bones of the people who were here before me.

I looked at the skeletons, wondering who they used to be and if they had also been "pets" before they ended up as a pile of bones.

Without warning, she ripped off a huge chunk of raw shark meat and handed it to me.

"Now, eat," she said.

I didn’t want to argue, so I ate it. Even though it was strange, I liked every bite.

The metal taste was gone, and it tasted savory and good. My new body really wanted it.

We sat there on the dry floor, eating in a silence that was only broken by the sound of us chewing.

By the time we finished, we had eaten more than one-half of the shark. It seemed that being turned didn’t just make me strong; it also made me able to eat a huge amount of food.

My stomach felt like a bottomless pit, soaking up the energy from the meat.

"Mistress... I know I shouldn’t be so bold, but can I ask you a few things that have been on my mind lately?" Since we were both in a good mood after the meal, I decided to take a chance.
