The soft gasp slipped through Mize's lips, quiet, barely audible, but it completely missed Liam’s attention.

He clamped his mouth shut right after, heart picking up as he tried to gather his thoughts, to calm the stir of emotions before they spilled again.

Liam, meanwhile, had already moved on.

His fingers adjusted the collar of his robe with a practiced flick, and then, with a single tap of his fingertip, his entire outfit changed.

The loose clothes vanished, replaced instantly with a sleek black bathrobe.

It hugged his frame in a way that was relaxed, embroidered with a few crude but oddly charming designs.

He turned, eyes catching Mize’s, and raised his hand in a casual beckon.

“Bath?” he offered, voice lazy and unbothered, just one word, but the meaning came through loud and clear.

Then, as if remembering something, he stepped to the side of the bed, bent down, and scooped the crumpled sheet from the floor.
