Others seemed to skip altogether, only to slam into the world without warning. It was unpredictable. Vast. Just like the infinite space of the warp itself.

So far, the only things that kept people sane were the records left behind by those lords who passed their trials and returned to their homeworld to spread the information.

And when people said “human world,” they didn’t mean Earth.

They meant the sprawling network of human empires, dominions, and scattered territories stretched across the warp’s maddening dimensions.

From great walled cities that floated in void space, to desert kingdoms protected by gods made of stone, to tiny nomadic sects riding on the backs of celestial turtles, that was the human world.

Over time, a rough system formed. Not just for lords, but for Awakeners too.

And it was all built on fragments of knowledge, word-of-mouth rumors, and war-scarred records passed down between those who lived through the madness, the trial ground.

Still, only a fraction had ever made it to the final wave of the first event.

Descendants of ancient monsters or reincarnated beings from long-forgotten realities.

People who were already monsters before the trial even began.

Some were just born that way. Freakishly talented, absurdly lucky.

But Liam… he didn’t quite fit into any of those molds.

He wasn’t born into power. He wasn’t a reincarnation. And he sure as hell wasn’t chosen by some grand celestial beast before birth.

And yet, here he was.

For most lords, breaking through to Tier 3 strength by the end of the trial was considered an incredible feat.

Some of them had armies, ancient legacies, and a dozen artifacts handed down from their families backing them, and they still barely made it.

But then… there was a tier beyond even that.

The impossible class.

Mize?

Being so paranoid, Liam created a whole large palace under the ground, made out of a special material that possessed a healing effect on a human body.

In the center, it was a bed made out of strange glowing jade, another thing he added that also possessed it's own incredible healing property.

Then, floating over it, resting inside a gentle cocoon of light with her hands over her stomach, and her eyes closed, was Mize.

Ever since the final wave ended, Liam hadn’t spared a single thought for the announcements that followed.

Not the unlocking of world chat, not the notices, not even the lofty system messages that usually got his attention.

The only thing on his mind was Mize.

The moment she collapsed, Liam scooped her up and rushed her back to the castle without hesitation.

And then began his frantic attempts to fix it.

Potions.

Healing spells.

Even sacrifices.

He pulled every string the system offered, burned through resources, and shattered rules if needed.

But days crawled by, then stretched into weeks, and she still wouldn’t wake up.

Each passing day felt heavier than the last. Watching her lie there, completely unresponsive, took a toll on him.

It was like being punched in the soul over and over again.

He barely spoke anymore. That usual half-smirk he always carried? Gone.

With the three True Kings from Mize’s camp stepping into the ministry cabinet, Liam fully took the reins of the territory’s operation.

And once Harapan understood the deeper reasoning behind it, he accepted it without resistance.

Liam didn’t want chaos festering under his roof.

With tensions between the Church and the Broken Blade Legion already bubbling, splitting them into different cities was the only logical move.

The conflict wasn’t mild, after all.

The True Kings constantly threw shade at the Church, dismissing Harapan’s title as First Saint.

In their eyes, they alone were ‘untainted by original impurities,’ and thus, the only ones worthy of the title ‘saints’, or ‘angels.’

Without Mize’s presence, both factions started making quiet moves of their own.

But Harapan knew better than to start a fight. He wasn’t strong enough, not yet.

Thankfully, Mize’s clone inside the Church kept the peace. Titrus lent his support from time to time, keeping the balance from tipping.

At one point, the clone confronted the True Kings, demanding an explanation. She got one, but couldn’t make a decision. So, she waited.

Just like everyone else, she was hoping the true Mize would wake up soon.

Meanwhile, the Church didn’t go idle just because they’d been relocated.

If anything, Harapan doubled down. The second, third, and the fourth batch of Holy Knights had just completed recruitment, reinforcing the ranks that had grown thin.

Spread the Holy Knights across the territory’s cities and let them hunt the growing monster threat, Raksasa, before it reached uncontrollable levels.

And the Raksasa were getting braver.

"The audacity!" a deep voice boomed as an elder struck the long table with his palm.

Around the oval-shaped council table, four other elders turned to him, their expressions grim but unsurprised.

"Those monsters are getting out of control!" the elder snapped. His tone shook with fury.

"The closest city has already sounded the alarm. The city lord couldn't enter the castle to seek for aid and could only turn to us for help"

But it made sense. Liam had begun relocating entire villages into the territory, accelerating growth like never before.

The population exploded like a balloon on the edge of bursting.
