After all, he had seen it all, everything from the beginning to the end.

It had taken him quite a while to get here, and frankly, he had barely made it in time.

But now, standing here, faced with her confusion, and the reactions she showed, they were strange, Liam found his thoughts tangled.

"Mimi?" He called out again, careful this time.

There was a bitter twist inside his chest.

Just moments ago, he’d questioned himself, why had he acted so rashly?

Why did he let her witness such a brutal side of him so suddenly?

But it was too sudden for her to wake up. Many things he planned weren't in place, yet.

Forcing a smile onto his face, he took a cautious step forward, voice soft and reaching, “Mimi… I—”

“W-who are you!!” she cried out before he could finish. Her voice trembled.

Her gaze darted around the unfamiliar space in panic, her arms trembling as she pushed herself backward across the floor.

“W-where am I! P-please let me go from this place… I don’t want to be here!”

Her words came out in a flood, desperate and scattered.

Her whole body was pressed low to the floor, trying to put distance between them as Liam moved closer.

She recoiled as though even the sight of him was a threat.

The sight of her fear made Liam stop abruptly.

His hand, which had been halfway raised to reach for her, slowly dropped.

His expression faltered. He remained there, silent for a second, staring at her with a quietly disturbed look.

In that stillness, something flickered across his eyes, dark and sharp, but it vanished just as quickly, smoothed over by a long, steady breath.

He closed his eyes briefly, calming himself, before taking another step forward.

This time, he didn’t let her crawl away. With a wave of his finger, he locked her body in place.

'Huh, surprisingly weak?' He noticed this.

Her limbs tensed against the unseen grip.

Though she couldn’t run, that didn’t stop her from crying out again, her voice rising in desperation.

“Please, don’t hurt me! Don’t kill me!” she shouted, eyes wide, breaths sharp and uneven.

Her panic felt raw, unfiltered.

Each word twisted something inside Liam.

His brows furrowed as he inwardly asked his system for answers.

What was going on?

Why was she reacting like this? But even the system, normally so precise, couldn’t give him a definite answer.

When he finally crouched beside her, her panic had softened into confusion.

Slowly, he reached a hand toward her, fingers brushing gently over the top of her head in a calming stroke.

“See… You don’t remember anything, do you?” he said softly.

His voice wasn’t demanding.

It was quiet, almost coaxing, as if trying not to frighten a startled animal.

“I’m not a bad person, okay? I’m your husband… Liam.”

Her eyes lifted to his, hesitating, uncertain.

“I am,” Liam said with a soft chuckle.

His arm steadied her again as he led her to the bed, lowering her gently onto the edge.

He sat beside her, expression warm as he met her eyes. “And you… you are a goddess.”

“M-me?” she echoed. “A goddess?”

“Yes, a goddess. And also,” he smiled, a bit more openly this time, “my adorable wife.”

The words hit her like a wave.

Her face flushed again, visibly deeper this time, and she glanced down, fingers curling slightly in her lap.

"Am I really?"

Liam sighed when he saw her expression.

Over the next hour, Liam took his time to guide her through the basics of the world around them.

Liam hadn't expected much, his system had failed to identify the core issue, simply categorizing it as something currently beyond his ability to cure.

That alone had dulled any hopes he had of finding a quick fix.

She was awake.

After all those long months, she had finally opened her eyes again.

And for the first time in a long while, a smile crept across his face. Not forced. Not polite. A genuine, deeply felt smile.

He didn’t rush things.

To gauge her reaction, he tested the waters gently, touching her occasionally, running his fingers through her hair, giving her cheeks a soft pinch here and there.

Every time, she simply let him. No signs of discomfort, no resistance or unease in her expression.

She accepted him, even leaned into his gestures, as though it was natural.

Now, the two of them were practically tangled together atop the bed.

Liam held her close, pressing her head against his chest. His hand moved in slow, steady circles on her back, a quiet rhythm of comfort.

“Are you not afraid of me anymore?” he asked, his voice low.

“Mhm… I-I don’t know why,” Mize replied, her voice soft and slightly breathy. “But I… I feel like I completely trust you. And I love you. I-I know I love you… My heart flutters whenever you're near.”

She rubbed her cheek against his chest as she spoke, a tiny movement full of unspoken affection.

Liam chuckled quietly at her response, brushing a few strands of hair behind her ear as he looked down at her.

"You lost your memories and yet you are still my adorable wife by nature, clinging to me like always."

Even stripped of her memories, she remained his.

Still drawn to him, still loving him for reasons she couldn’t explain.

That obsession hadn’t faded, it lingered quietly, without logic or restraint.

“My adorable Princess…” he whispered, tightening his hold around her just slightly, pulling her closer still.

Only Liam knew.

And Liam had no intention of sharing it just yet. He had something different in mind for her, something he was certain she wouldn’t like.

His lips would occasionally brush her forehead, or linger against hers, stealing soft kisses without waking her.

His fingers ran slowly along her skin, memorizing her again, every contour, every breath.

And now that she was back, truly back, he wasn’t going to waste a second.

Her natural charm wasn’t suppressed anymore, and anyone with a working pair of eyes could now feel the weight of her beauty.

Liam hated that.

Hated how vulnerable she had become without her usual protections.

It made him think of the two guards, how close they’d come to defiling her.

His expression darkened at the thought.

He extracted their souls, placed them in his dimension, and for them, a never ending hell awaited.

For now, though, he held her. Because tonight, she was safe.

And she slept well.

Her points came flooding in, massive chunks of them, and she embraced it all, relishing the growth.

Yet even amidst that quiet satisfaction, there was a trace of guilt lingering in her thoughts.

She could sense it. Liam’s pain, his silent struggle, the toll those long months had taken on him.

He hadn’t needed to spell it out. Just the way he recounted everything told her all she needed to know.

And so, she made a quiet promise to herself.

She’d spoil him.

Whatever it was he wanted… whenever the time came for him to fully take her, she wouldn’t shy away.
