He looked up and saw that the Blood Moon was hanging high in the sky, though he didn’t know when it had appeared.

It was still daytime; the moon definitely shouldn’t be visible from his location.

But there it was. This meant the Profound God’s corruption had caused the moon to mutate further, and it was drawing closer to the planet, which would trigger even more terrifying changes.

The main point wasn’t any of that, but the fact that symptoms of the Blood Moon Shadow were appearing on his body.

He immediately controlled the Profound Virus within him to expel it. Fortunately, the Profound Virus in his body was no longer the conventional type but had become his own immune system.

It expelled the Blood Moon Shadow on the spot.

The special zombie, however, wasn’t so lucky. The Blood Moon Shadow on its body advanced directly to the second stage.

The rapid evolution of the second stage, combined with its own evolutionary abilities, caused the special zombie’s body to gradually mutate, turning a blood-red color.

It had clearly accepted the Blood Moon Shadow instead of resisting it.

If it were Tang Jingren, who was currently being burned, he would have made the same choice as Qi Suian.

After all, Tang Jingren was half-violator and half-survivor, and with the memories of his predecessor, his wisdom and experience far surpassed that of a special zombie that had evolved through sheer combat.
