The Rule-Breaker of the Doomsday Game

After leaving, Qi Suian headed straight for the national treasury he had previously targeted, a stockpile of minerals.

He encountered quite a few zombies along the way, but under the Divine Purification Force Field, every last one was annihilated.

As for survivors, he didn’t encounter a single one.

It wasn’t that his path was empty of them; rather, the survivors were all actively avoiding him.

His position was revealed every half hour, naturally exposing Qi Suian’s route. No one wanted to come face-to-face with this Violator who had already killed hundreds.

If they did run into him, they would likely just become another digit added to his event tally.

"If I’m not mistaken, the Violator’s target is us." Jiangyang’s expression was grim.

This national treasury had, of course, been occupied by a survivor organization, and Jiangyang was its leader.

He had come to this conclusion by looking at the map and comparing their paths.

It made sense. This was a strategic national treasury, holding not just minerals and metals, but all sorts of other resources.

That meant in the next Doomsday World, they would be able to deploy as a faction, rather than fighting as lone individuals.

Unfortunately, the Violator had arrived, threatening to turn everything into a fleeting illusion.

"Then let’s kill him! I refuse to believe that the thousand-plus survivors in our camp can’t overwhelm a single Violator!" Zhong Xuan looked just as grim, his tone sharp and aggressive.

Jiangyang was the main leader and Zhong Xuan was his second-in-command. There were no melodramatic conflicts between them; on the contrary, Zhong Xuan had always acted as Jiangyang’s aide, covering for his shortcomings.

"Maybe... we really can’t," Jiangyang said. "Do you remember Jin Linyun? He led a whole group over there, and in less than half an hour, they were just another number added to the Violator’s kill count."

"Yes, we have over a thousand people, but more than half of them aren’t even combat personnel."

"In terms of total fighters, we have even fewer than the group Jin Yunlin scraped together." As the leader, Jiangyang naturally knew the structure of his organization.

The number of people required to support the needs and expenditures of such a large camp was considerable.

Therefore, it was impossible for every survivor to be a fighter; most were just ordinary people under their protection.

"Then what should we do? We can’t just let him come to our door and slaughter us," Zhong Xuan said. He didn’t argue, because he knew Jiangyang was right.

"We fight to the death, of course," Jiangyang sighed. "His target is us survivors. There’s no way he’ll let us go."

"Even if we tried to retreat, it’s too late now."

Jiangyang checked the Violator’s position displayed in the "Permanent Event: Violator" interface. Twenty-five minutes ago, he was already very close.

"If I’m not mistaken, he should be outside the camp right now, observing us," Jiangyang said.

A chill ran down Zhong Xuan’s spine.

"No," Zhong Xuan said, "he’s already here."

He saw the status update next to his name: Mild Infection 2%.

Jiangyang was confused for a moment, then he opened his own status panel. A look of utter despair crossed his face.

Their organization had nothing that could cure the infection.

They were a sizable organization, but their focus had always been on basic survival: farming, scavenging for supplies, restoring production, and so on.

Unlike lone survivors or small teams, they hadn’t delved deep into the lore of the zombie apocalypse to earn rewards from the Doomsday Game.

More importantly, they constantly had to deal with zombie hordes. A large number of survivors naturally attracted a large number of zombies, and when enough gathered, they formed a tide.

So, while their lives seemed comfortable, they were actually fraught with danger.

It wasn’t just Jiangyang and Zhong Xuan who noticed; other survivors in the organization were discovering it as well.

Chaos began to spread.

Everyone’s infection level was rising sharply. In less than three minutes, it had already soared to 70% Mild Infection.

And the rate was still accelerating. At this pace, they would all turn into zombies within five minutes.

The infection was always this fast.

Furthermore, the lower one’s physique attribute, the faster it progressed.

Some survivors with lower physique had turned into zombies in under two minutes, triggering the outbreak of chaos.

"What do we do now?" Zhong Xuan, strangely, had calmed down. There was no longer any chance of victory.

If he had a serum, there might be a way, but unfortunately, he didn’t.

"I heard that lone survivors and small teams can get rewards from the Doomsday Game by digging into its lore and story... and that serum is one of those rewards."

"So our whole approach was wrong."

"We shouldn’t have confined the organization to one place. We should have been expanding outward," Jiangyang said, reviewing his mistakes.

"There’s no point talking about that now," Zhong Xuan said calmly. "I think we should find a proper way to die, rather than turning into zombies. Since the Violator can control the Abyssal Virus, he might have a way to control zombies, too."

"I have no desire to become his puppet after I’m dead."

The survivors knew nothing about the Violator. Everyone who had ever encountered him was dead, so what intelligence could there be?

Even if survivors communicated with each other, the dead can’t give you intel.

"Now that’s just slander," a mechanical voice sounded.

The Armored Man pushed open the door, much to Jiangyang and Zhong Xuan’s surprise.

In their minds, someone who could control the Abyssal Virus should look something like a Mutated Zombie.

They never expected someone straight out of science fiction. It was a complete shock.

"I don’t torture people who have no value," Qi Suian said, his gaze sweeping over Jiangyang and Zhong Xuan.

’In the reincarnator’s past life, these two had led the largest faction in the Doomsday Game.’

’Their talent qualities were also extremely high. Jiangyang was an SS-Rank Life Apostle, and Zhong Xuan was an S-Rank Brutal Bloodstrike.’
