"When did i had a seed on me!" Seeing the transparent ethereal seed in last bubble, pretty much bewildered him.

But he couldn’t stay surprised much longer as the dragon started to become transparent while he was looking at at bubble.

In no time his vision darkened AGAIN while at last moment he heard a strange unknown sound of chain breaking apart into pieces just before his conscious fully blacked out.

With question ’What was that noise?’ his vision returned next moment just after.

He didn’t have time to dwell on as his sight returned and a transparent bubble covering him, illuminating blue-green substance around everywhere on surrounding of outside bubble.

It didn’t take anything else for him, just the sight at front was enough for him to understand where is he and what exactly is happening with him.

"So, that tree pretty much saved my soul and was just waiting for my consciousness to woke to its senses."

Looking down at himself, saw robe wearing just like he was before. Black dragon bracelet on left hand and his own self symbol drawn on right arm.

Sending slight energy at symbol showed him, Jean sleeping silently inside.

"Everything at right place as they were before, just.." He checked own condition.

Bones have fully healed, flesh have grown to the point of not thin nor muscular. Internal structure returned to how they were. "But power seems to have decreased."

He extended one finger in front and channeled energy from core. Green thin thread came out from tip. "Wood affinity feels same."

Soon after blue thread replaced green. "Water, same."

Next dark thread replaced blue. "Same."

Sending dark thread back inside he tried to call light element but finger only glowed just like last time. "Same."

"Fifth what even is it? Not can feel, nor can control. Just can sense existence inside heart."

"Sigh, so only rank have dropped to Tier 1 first stage."

Only now he looked at the wall of bubble carefully, which is preventing the essence from coming inside.

He moved his hand in front of the transparent shield and soon passed it through in non-sticky liquid. Bubble didn’t burst.

Closing his palm, he pulled the hand back and opened the palm.

Drops of essence staying in small canyon of his palm. "Skin, flesh, bone nothing is being affected. Just it had gone above my capacity to absorb, which destroyed me front within."

"Hmm, wait. So nothing would have happened to Jean... oh.. not Jean, bracelet would have safe, robe would also have been without any effect. So why did this tree pulled everything inside." He looked inside his soul space. Now he knows his soul was indeed inside in his own soul space all the time or maybe a similar space of this tree.

"Oi, weird tree. Respond!" The tree didn’t respond. Could be it is angry at him, for not even saying a thanks in return for saving him.

"Huh, forget it." With no response he also shook his head and moved on to absorb the drops of essence on hand.

He didn’t open all of his pores this time, just on the palm below essence area’s pores opened.

Essence soon entered through his palm and travelled to the heart on his control. This time he didn’t give body any chance to absorb the essence automatically.

Soon he divided the essence into numerous parts, very small of each one and sent to the heart one by one, letting it absorb steadily.

He felt no pressure, so he increased their number slowly, sending more at one time.

Soon in a while heart thumped heavily once, sending energy through his every part, increasing his rank by one stage returning back to second stage. Which he had broken through while in hollow cave below elemental friction zone.

"Huuuu!"

Black breath of smoke flew out from the lungs.

But he didn’t stop sending remaining portion of essence.

In a while heart thumped again sending another wave of huge amount of energy coursing through every part, every meridians.

Increasing rank by another small stage.

Still he didn’t stop and absorbed remaining energy and increasing rank by two more stages, reaching fifth stage of Tier 1.

He took another portion of essence, intending continue further. But he couldn’t increase his rank anymore, his body doesn’t have any problem nor he himself is stopping the evolution.

He could feel the energy coming from weird tree in soul space is stopping him from evolving further. He gazed deep inside his own soul "If you’re stopping the evolution because of unstable foundation. Then there is no worry about that, this essence is purest form of energy without slightest impurity. There is no room for unstable foundation. Only have to train a little after and everything will be alright."

There is no response nor blockage removing from evolution.

He shook his head and stopped trying "Forget it, essence isn’t going anywhere."

But it looks like he doesn’t have any plan of leaving yet.

"Should i start it ...., though it will be quite long task. Their condition isn’t also in any situation to wake up in few years. Only Lucy and Mira might wake much earlier than other three. Still even that would take least also few years."

Hand still on chin he immediately made his decision.

"Let’s do it."

Slapping both sides of face he sat cross-legged in bubble, concentrating, removing any distracting thoughts. In flow of action if he gets distracted and process proceeds to wrong direction, that would be more terrible than worst.

Which is death.

Still eyes closed he controlled later absorbed essence and divided into even tiniest parts, more than hundred thousand. One was sent for each bones first, covering them and tempering each bones with internal energy on top of that.

Refining with internal energy, tempering, then leaving it as it is for some time to bones cooled during that and essence slowly merging with the bones.

Slowly every day he repeated the process.

Hundred times. One day.

Thousand times. Ten days.

Ten thousand times. One month.

Million times. Two months.

More bones got tempered, more each session got faster and faster.

There is no problem of internal energy running out. During break on each session just absorbing very little amount of essence recovered the spent energy.

While there is deep pond filled with essence outside, not knowing how many million can use for how many years.

After two months red marrow inside bones finally have taken much darker colour. And bones finally stopped absorbing essence no matter how he tried.

Indicating first step finally completed.

Black sticky impurity layer newly formed again after numerous times of him clearing during each break. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

"There is a saying no pain no gain. But where was there even any pain." He have long became numb to this little amount of pain.

Letting out a deep breath immediately he burst into laughter.

Ha...ha....ha...

He kept laughing whole heartedly, only stopping after long while.

"Pure red marrow bones, devoid of any impurities. Wonder of purest energy essence."

Closing his fist he could feel the effect of enhancement on his physical strength.

"Hehe, this is only first step. Time to find out how much changes every step brings."

Releasing locked fingers, directed his body to relax while taking a nap meanwhile.

Waking up one day later, while yawning he call out system intending to further sure of how much strength increased.

But there was no response.

"Strange, was it wiped out during that time." He assumed it might be related to his physical structure getting destroyed. But soon he himself denied the possibility "Nah, system is part of my soul, so it shouldn’t be."

But still no clue about what happened to system. No response even after a while so he stopped paying any attention to it and focused on second step.

Devoid of any other thought he let internal energy flow through meridians, putting pressure on inner walls of passages. While absorbing large amount of essence, let it flow through only meridians. Locking it inside meridians, not letting any part of body absorb any essence.

Soon one cycle competed, essence flowing through every meridians.

Meridian channels already strained to the point of like they are screaming to stop.

But only just one first cycle finished. Soon he commanded the second cycle to start. After completing second cycle he stopped and released the essence from inside to the last drop.

Matter of essence floated in front of him in irregular form. While he spread spiritual sense through internally, checking condition of every part thoroughly.

Inner walls of meridian channels have darkened and stressed to the point of swelling. Any more and they might burst apart.

Time passed as he waited for the channels to become cooled enough for another cycle. Soon third cycle began, channels once again reached the point of breaking apart. He waited again letting them rest.

With same cycle repeat and waiting, one month passed.

Now channels need near hundred cycles to become stressed and have widened to triple their size without any visible changes on outside.

Flow of energy have become much smoother, many times faster than the start.

"This trick is only thanks to old dragon. Old people sure accumulates varieties of wisdom and knowledge. Only at the very starting of the process can it be applied."

He haven’t stopped yet, is still in middle of tempering the channels.

One more month passed, only then he stopped observing no more improvement.
