When she said that last sentence, her expression was calm yet brimming with spirit—her golden eyes glowing as if defeating the Hero and unifying the world truly was the great life goal of her dragonhood.

Vieya spread her hands indifferently. Goals, ideals—those things belonged to her past. People say flowers may bloom again, but humans do not get to be young twice. Yet what she once liked, she still liked. What she once disliked—well, her tolerance seemed higher now.

Just like her body: ever since becoming a slime-girl, her endurance had grown too. Even if she overused herself and got flattened, she could recover quickly—no need to pay with her lifespan.
