After her second glass, Aliana finally began to loosen up.

Gavriel watched as the heavy tension she had been carrying around all day slowly melted away, until she finally leaned close to his ear. "So... I am guessing you don’t frequent places like this very often?"

He was leaning back against the marble counter, occupying his bar stool with a casual, lazy grace as he swirled a lowball glass filled with scotch. His eyes drifted to her, dancing with silent amusement. "Not anymore."

"Not anymore?" she murmured, leaning in a tad closer to pry. "Does that mean you used to?"

"I did," he replied, taking a leisurely sip of his liquor.

"Why did you stop then?" Aliana asked before quickly cutting herself off. "No, don’t answer that. Better question: why did I never see you around if you used to be such a regular at these spots?"

Gavriel raised a brow at her, only then did she elaborate.

"I’m guessing Cillian used to be there with you? I’ve seen him plenty of times, but never you."

"Mm. Perhaps you simply didn’t look around well enough," he answered with a touch of arrogance.

Aliana rolled her eyes playfully, leaning in, she retorted. "Or maybe you just hide all too well."

Her smart mouth earned a slight smirk at the corner of his lips, and the sight of it only made her smile in return.

A moment later, her eyes dropped to his drink, and a spark of mischief entered them.

"Alright," she declared. "I think we need some shots."

That made Gavriel’s hand pause midway to his lips, and he shot her a thoroughly unamused look.

"Come on. I think you need to loosen up just as much as I do," Aliana shot back.

A small frown settled on his forehead. "I am driving."

A beautiful, light chuckle escaped her lips, capturing Gavriel’s full attention, though it had never truly left her.

He noticed how she leaned in close enough for him to feel the radiating heat of her body as she whispered in his ear, "Come on. One or two are not going to do much to a tough guy like you. Bond with me... my husband-to-be."

As she purred that final line, his fingers tightened around his glass.

That was all it took for this naughty little siren to successfully lure a devil like him straight into her web.

Hence, after three shots, here he was.

Only to watch her being absolutely hellbent on testing every single ounce of his self-control.

Aliana turned back to face him with that easy, beautiful smile after undoing her long, beautiful hair.

Then, sliding down from her bar stool, she caught his hand and pulled, prompting him to rise to his full height. Gavriel allowed himself to be led straight toward the crowded dance floor, where the bass reverberated through the floorboards, and people swayed to the heavy beat.

The night had grown dark outside, and the crowd kept on pouring into the premises to lose themselves in the rhythm.

But men and women couldn’t help but gape at the most good-looking pair they had ever seen. Yet, the couple drawing all the attention hardly cared, because each was caught in the other’s spell.

Stopping in the centre of the dimly lit dance floor, beneath the rapid, flashing pulse of the strobe lights, Aliana finally began to move her hips.

She moved so seductively, so gracefully, that Gavriel felt as though he were receiving his own private show.

His piercing blue eyes slowly travelled over her, drinking in every movement as her hands glided down his chest while her body continued to move with reckless abandon. A small, flirtatious smile curved her lips as her hooded eyes remained locked onto his.

Her hair whipped to her front as she spun around, offering him a clear view of her exposed back, where the delicate silver chain caressed her skin and shifted with her every movement.

The sight was so tantalising that Gavriel could feel himself getting lost as his little seductress continued to cast her spell on him.

Before he could stop himself, he caught her wrist and pulled her back, pressing her spine firmly against his chest as his hands settled possessively on her waist to match her rhythm.

Aliana was having so much fun losing herself in the beat that she didn’t expect the sudden shift when Gavriel drew her close. But instead of pulling away, she pressed herself deeper against his front, allowing the sudden rush of euphoria to settle in her chest.

Closing her eyes, she let her head drop back against his shoulder as she felt his hands move across her stomach. Her lazy smile widened as all the desires that had been pent up inside her exploded to the surface. She reached down to intertwine her fingers with his large hand that rested on her stomach, while her other hand travelled up to weave through his soft, dark hair.

Right then, she felt Gavriel dip his head low as he dragged his nose beneath her ear, a touch that sent shivers zinging straight to her core and left her pulsing with an intense need for release once more.

She then felt his lips near her ear and heard him whisper through that sinful mouth of his, "Having fun torturing your future husband?"

Her eyes snapped open before she turned around to face him completely.

Gavriel’s hands settled against her back as he pulled her even closer.

Aliana chuckled softly, but her eyes were heavy with desire, mirroring his own. Pressing herself against him, her arms wrapped around his neck as she purred, "Don’t tell me you’re not enjoying yourself."

Gavriel’s hand slid down to her round ass as he leaned close to her ear, allowing her to hear his desire-laced, raspy voice. "You’ve been a bad, naughty girl. Had we not been surrounded by all these people, I would have bent you over right here."

Thankfully, with the dance floor crowded and dark, people couldn’t clearly see what the naughty couple were busy doing as they teased each other.

Aliana’s breath caught the moment she heard him.

Right then and there, she knew she was the one ready to surrender. The white flag she had stubbornly held onto for so long no longer seemed important. All she knew was that she needed him... now.

Pulling back slightly, she met his gaze, her breathing uneven.

Unable to hold herself back any longer, she stopped swaying to the music and finally whispered, "Let’s get out of here."

Gavriel searched her eyes for a moment and immediately understood that she meant every word.

Without another word, he led her off the dance floor, keeping a protective arm securely around her waist, refusing to let any other man brush against her even by accident. He quickly draped her fur coat over her shoulders, hiding her exposed back from others before they left the premises together.
