"Go get your clothes and leave. Stop embarrassing yourself here. Forget it, I’ll go back too. If I don’t, who knows how you’ll take it out on my granddaughter."

Cao Qiu had originally planned to stay until Gu’er’s three-day homecoming visit, but after this scene, she had no choice but to go back with them. Aunt Zhao was a straightforward woman. In any case, Gu’er and Jia Ming were good to her. She didn’t need to worry about what others thought. She just needed to do her job well.

And just like that, the matter was over. Gu’er let out a soft sigh. It was honestly so much more relaxing without Wei Hong and the others around.

Around noon, Li Hua stopped by for a visit, but she didn’t stay for lunch. She had to keep Lin Shuying and the others company. Gu’er’s uncle, Chen Damin, and his family hadn’t left either, saying they would talk about leaving after Gu’er’s homecoming visit. That meant Lin Shuying and the rest would be staying for now. Li Hua felt that something was on Lin Shuying’s mind, but when she asked, the other woman didn’t say anything, so she didn’t press the issue. Her only job for the next few days was to keep Lin Shuying and the others company.

Nothing much happened in the afternoon, so Gu’er went to sit with her grandmother for a while. Seeing that she was in good spirits, Gu’er felt relieved.

After dinner, Sun Jiaming started giving Gu’er looks, signaling for her to go back to their room. Gu’er blushed. ’We just finished eating. Can’t we sit and watch TV for a few minutes? If we go back to the room now, people will laugh their heads off!’ she thought. She didn’t want to go, so she ignored Sun Jiaming’s glances and sat on the sofa to watch TV.

Sun Jiaming went to wash up first. When he came back and saw Gu’er watching TV, he sat down next to her. Gu’er tried to shift away, but Sun Jiaming grabbed her hand. With Uncle Zhao and his little girl in the living room, Gu’er was too embarrassed to snatch her hand away and could only let him hold it.

But Sun Jiaming didn’t just hold Gu’er’s hand; he began to gently trace the center of her palm with his finger.

Gu’er was already feeling shy, and when Sun Jiaming traced her palm, she blushed even more. She forcefully pulled her hand free, but his hand immediately moved to her waist. The sofa blocked it from view, but his hand began to roam over her waist, and just as it was about to reach her backside, Gu’er shot to her feet.

"I’m a little tired. You all take your time watching, Uncle. I’m going to go brush my teeth."

Gu’er was simply too embarrassed to stay seated. She knew what Sun Jiaming was up to—he was just trying to get her to leave the living room and go to their bedroom.

As Gu’er washed up, she grumbled about Sun Jiaming, but deep down, she felt a flicker of unexplainable, secret delight.

Gu’er took her sweet time washing up before she came out. She was deliberately making Sun Jiaming wait, just to see if he would still be so impatient.

Seeing Gu’er emerge from the washroom, Sun Jiaming’s eyes filled with amusement. How could he not understand her little tricks?

"Uncle, you guys keep watching. I’m going to bed too," Sun Jiaming said.

"Go on, go on."

Uncle Zhao chuckled, waving his hand. How could he not understand? When he had first gotten married, he was the same way. As soon as it got dark, he’d want to pull his wife back to their room. Young people, eager for the novelty of it all. He could understand.

When Sun Jiaming returned to the room, he saw Gu’er making the bed. He walked over and wrapped his arms around her from behind.

"Let go! I—I have to make the bed."

Gu’er’s heart was racing.

"You can make it like this, too."

As Sun Jiaming spoke, he brought his lips to the spot just behind Gu’er’s ear. After he finished, he gave her ear a gentle lick.

Gu’er felt a tingling sensation spread through her. ’Who did Sun Jiaming learn this from?’ she wondered. ’How could he just lick my ear? But... but... the feeling is actually really nice.’

Before Gu’er could finish her thought, Sun Jiaming’s hand had already slipped inside her clothes, gently kneading her soft mounds.

Gu’er felt her body go weak, as if she were about to collapse into Sun Jiaming’s embrace.

Sun Jiaming kissed her ceaselessly. Gu’er’s breasts changed shape in his hand, and she unconsciously let out a soft moan.

But Sun Jiaming didn’t want to turn off the light. His Gu’er was so beautiful; he wanted to watch her.

Gu’er didn’t know how she ended up nodding. At first, she was still a little panicked and couldn’t let go of her inhibitions.
