Reborn with a Space: Hoarding Food and Raising My Kid

Shauna Wallace did as Flora Bloom said and sat on the ground. Clutching a handful of Crystal Cores, she began to restore her superpower.

Just now, she had exhausted all her spiritual power, extending her superpower to touch every single bee. But there were simply too many of them—so many that even as a piercing, needle-like pain began to prick at her brain, she pushed through it and held on.

Flora Bloom hadn’t lied to her. She just hadn’t expected that the moment she stepped near the outermost hives, all the bees from the visible nests in that area would come swarming out.

Her first instinct was to run, but then she remembered the scene of the four of them fleeing earlier. At her speed, there was no way she could outrun this massive swarm.

So, bracing for the worst, she shut her eyes and unleashed her Healing System superpower, letting it radiate outward from her center.

Sure enough, the swarm charging toward her halted its trajectory and instead began to circle around her, BUZZZing gently.

And so, she began this agonizing yet confident journey. ’If I want to stay on Flora Bloom’s team for the long haul,’ she had thought along the way, ’I need more than just trust; I need strength.’ With Flora Bloom, she felt a sense of trust and security she had never experienced before.

Without Shauna Wallace’s soothing superpower, the ridiculously large swarm of bees suddenly began to fly about chaotically, like headless chickens. But just like the bees that had chased them before, they stopped as soon as they neared the lawn, beginning to hover at its edge.

This time, however, they lingered instead of leaving, yet none of them flew down to gather nectar from the wildflowers below. This made Flora Bloom wonder, ’Did I just do all that for nothing? Why aren’t they coming down to get nectar?’

Just then, the largest of the bees, catching the group completely off guard, suddenly shot straight toward Flora Bloom and Shauna Wallace. The BUZZZ BUZZZ BUZZZ of its wingbeats vibrated in the air. Apart from it, the other bees were a scattered, confused mess, darting about aimlessly but never crossing into the area with the two lawns.

A jet of flame was about to shoot from Neal Wallace’s palm toward it when Flora Bloom quickly shouted.

"Wait!"

The crimson flame swerved just before making contact, but it still managed to singe the edge of the bee’s wing.

"Master, it hurts so much!"

Through her spiritual link, the imperious-sounding queen bee suddenly whined pitifully to Flora Bloom. It flew toward her, flapping its singed wing and circling around her.

"Master, Master, it hurts!"

’So this is the queen bee from my spiritual link.’ Flora Bloom cupped it in her hands to inspect it, pouring some spiritual water from her palm onto its injured wing. The scorched edge of the wing was instantly restored, and the entire wing became even more translucent and crystalline.

The queen bee clearly yearned for Flora Bloom’s spiritual water. It flapped its wings, BUZZZ BUZZZ BUZZZing as if begging her for more.

Flora Bloom looked at the queen bee in her hands. It wasn’t ugly like a normal queen bee. It had a large, plump abdomen, and its two pairs of large, transparent wings, veined with gold, emitted a "D-D-D" like a start-up sound.

When Flora Bloom touched the golden antennae on its head, they shyly pulled away. Its large, round head and plump, round body were covered in golden fuzz. And if you leaned in close, you could even smell a faint, candy-like fragrance.

’This big, fat-headed, pot-bellied golden bug is the queen bee?’ Flora Bloom found its chubbiness reminded her of a plump golden cicada—an unconventional sort of cute.

"How about I call you Little Bee from now on?"

"Okay, Master! Spiritual water, spiritual water!" The imperious-sounding queen bee sniffed at Flora Bloom’s fingertips like a puppy begging its owner for a treat. It was quite comical.

’It seems spiritual water really is a natural lure for all sorts of creatures.’ This queen bee was no exception! So Flora Bloom fed it some more spiritual water and soothed its excitement.

"You’re the queen bee, so you should be able to command these bees, right? Can you make them come down and gather some nectar?"

Little Bee sounded a bit confused. "I can’t, Master. These worker bees aren’t my underlings from my hive, so I can’t command them! Besides, it’s the wildflowers that won’t let them gather nectar! It’s not that they don’t want to!"

Little Bee flew over to one of the wildflowers. Just as it was about to descend, the flower suddenly secreted a strand of green mucus from its pistil. Flora Bloom couldn’t smell the mucus’s odor, but it seemed to be a repellent targeted at bees, causing Little Bee to abruptly turn tail and flee back to her side.

"What is this?" ’The wildflowers I just grew with the Space Spirit Water can actually secrete something like this?’

"It’s a narcotic that can make bees pass out. If you touch it, you become completely paralyzed and can’t move. We bees are terrified of it!" Little Bee sounded aggrieved, looking at the wildflowers on the two lawns with longing but unable to approach.

’If I want these bees to obediently gather pollen and return to make honey, I have to make the wildflowers retract the liquid that scares them. Since these plants are now spiritually connected to me, shouldn’t that be easy?’

A command was transmitted via spiritual power through the link between Flora Bloom and the patch of flowers. Instantly, the field of blooming wildflowers began to sway gently, suddenly releasing an intoxicatingly sweet fragrance that captivated the soul. Everyone present, except for Shauna Wallace who was still restoring her superpower, was drawn in by the refreshing scent.

"This is incredible! I’ve never smelled a floral fragrance this amazing before!" Sherman Lynch exclaimed.

"Yeah, just smelling this scent, I feel like I’ve gotten stronger!" Neal Wallace said, flaring his nostrils and clenching his fists in surprise. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

The wildflower that had secreted the mucus also instantly retracted it, proudly displaying its full bloom.

To the bees, this fragrance was like a powerful lure. In an instant, the bees in the air dived into the lawn like they were starving. Those that didn’t manage to claim a flower hovered anxiously in the air, waiting for the next round of the feast to begin.

She watched as the bees diligently gathered nectar from the wildflowers, one wave after another. Suddenly, a small group of bees split off from the swarm and flew before Flora Bloom and Little Bee, as if to greet them.

However, this group didn’t go to gather nectar. Instead, they began to build a hive on a large tree on the lawn.

They stimulated their wax glands, secreted beeswax, then took it into their mouths and chewed it until it was soft and sticky before attaching it to the branches of the tree.

Flora Bloom watched in fascination as the bees built their nest. They actually hadn’t just collected pollen and left.

"Master, these are the underlings I brought with me! I’ve decided to build our hive here."

Flora Bloom asked curiously, "Then what about your original hive?"

"Don’t worry, Master. After these worker bees finish building the nest, some of them will return to the old hive to raise the young. Once the larvae grow up, a new queen will appear soon enough."

Time ticked by. After restoring her superpower, Shauna Wallace slowly opened her eyes and stood up. The sweet fragrance lingering in the air intrigued her, and the sight of swarms of bees lining up to gather nectar gave her a huge shock.

She followed the gazes of Flora Bloom and the other two and saw a new hive taking shape on a large tree on the lawn, growing larger and larger.

Soon, she believed, Little Bee would be able to settle into its new home and begin producing a new swarm.

And just then, as expected, new spiritual presences began to appear in Flora Bloom’s spiritual link, communicating intimately with her.
