Myriad Daos of the Heaven

Watching Jiang Jichen fall into the depths of the cliff along with the Fierce Crocodile, Ling Dong, Nangong Jinjie, and the others all breathed a sigh of relief.

"This cliff leads to a Forbidden Land. Jiang Jichen is a dead man for sure. Heh, let’s find another way down. We have to get our hands on everything he had on him!"

This thought occurred to all of them, and they each went their separate ways.

Clearly, they were all plotting how to enter the Forbidden Land at the bottom of the cliff.

However, getting into this Forbidden Land at the base of the cliff would not be easy; it would take some time.

Meanwhile, Jiang Jichen was clinging desperately to the Fierce Crocodile’s tail as they plummeted downward.

The air here was restricted, preventing flight. They couldn’t use any techniques to slow their fall and could only freefall.

The Fierce Crocodile twisted its body, trying to use its power to fly, but it was all in vain.

It had no time to worry about the tiny human, Jiang Jichen. Its massive body was taking unimaginable damage in the forbidden airspace.

Moreover, as they fell, the Forbidden Force in the air grew increasingly terrifying, streaking through the sky like a volley of arrows.

Even with the Fierce Crocodile’s powerful defenses, it was riddled with bloody holes. Its Essence Qi was leaking away, and it was gradually growing weaker.

Jiang Jichen was also in a life-or-death crisis and had no time to dwell on being betrayed by Ling Dong and the other five.

Surviving was all that mattered right now!

But the lines of Forbidden Force in the air grew denser. Even though Jiang Jichen was small and his Divine Soul could perceive the faint forbidden threads, he still couldn’t dodge them all.

Several more gruesome, bone-deep wounds appeared on his body.

One must remember that Jiang Jichen was at the Tenth Layer of Body Refining. His physical body was incredibly tough, as if forged from metal, yet it was still sliced open with ease.

The power of the forbidden threads here wasn’t even at its most terrifying. The closer they got to the Forbidden Land, the more powerful and dreadful the threads became, filled with an annihilating force.

Down there, a single one of those forbidden threads would likely be enough to tear his flesh from his bones.

’If this keeps up, I’m dead for sure!’

Jiang Jichen’s eyes were bloodshot, and a ruthless glint flashed within them.

He took out his Red Copper Rust Sword and used all his strength to slice a huge gash in the Fierce Crocodile’s belly.

Its belly sliced open, the Fierce Crocodile felt immense pain, and its savage nature erupted.

But it could barely save itself, let alone do anything to Jiang Jichen.

Moreover, its essence and blood were draining away, and its strength began to wane.

It tried to shake Jiang Jichen off with its power, but he was incredibly slippery. Ignoring the foul stench from the crocodile’s stomach, he burrowed his entire body inside.

Not only that, but Jiang Jichen also quickly took out the Ancient Medicine Cauldron and curled up inside it.

And so, the Fierce Crocodile’s belly enveloped the Ancient Medicine Cauldron, the cauldron hid Jiang Jichen, and Jiang Jichen himself had instantly activated his defenses to their absolute peak... A Ten-layered Golden Spirit Pattern Space and the Undying Power spread throughout his body!

Even so, Jiang Jichen could still feel a terrifying wisp of the Forbidden Force seeping in—an aura that seemed capable of annihilating all things and turning them to ash.

At that moment, the giant crocodile finally fell completely into the spatial layer of the Forbidden Land!

This so-called Forbidden Land was actually a Holy Spirit Land, isolated by a Forbidden Array that was incredibly difficult to breach.

Even the weakest Forbidden Array could easily kill a Cultivator at the Foundation Establishment Perfection Realm.

The Forbidden Array here was clearly far more terrifying; it could probably even kill a Spirit Infant Realm Cultivator.

But where there is prohibition, there is also sanctity. Anyone who could break through the Forbidden Array would be able to obtain the Divine Treasure within the Holy Spirit Land!

Though he couldn’t see it, he could imagine the mountain-sized Fierce Crocodile dissolving layer by layer until it turned to ash.

By the time the Ancient Medicine Cauldron was fully exposed to the Forbidden Array, it had only passed through halfway.

The Array on the Ancient Medicine Cauldron activated, but it still couldn’t block the terrifying Forbidden Force. Wisps of it seeped through, causing Jiang Jichen’s ten-layered Spirit Pattern Space to flicker like a candle in a storm, on the verge of shattering.

Furthermore, as the Ancient Medicine Cauldron continued its descent, Jiang Jichen even saw the Array Power it had activated begin to weaken. The Tripod Lid trembled violently, looking as if it could be blasted open at any moment.

SPURT!

Finally, Jiang Jichen couldn’t hold on any longer. The true Forbidden Force seeped in, completely unstoppable. His Ten-layered Golden Spirit Pattern Space shattered, his Undying Power disintegrated, and in an instant, a dozen horrifying Blood Caves were bored through his body.

Fortunately, at the critical moment, his powerful and miraculous soul kicked in, allowing him to avoid fatal hits to his heart, Qi Sea, the spot between his eyebrows, and other vital areas. Otherwise, he would have already been dead.

Even so, he could feel his life force on the verge of extinction. The Forbidden Force, capable of turning all things to ash, was about to grind away his last sliver of vitality.

’Life force may be extinguished, but will is eternal. With will, there is life. With will, there is death. With will... there is immortality!’

In that moment between life and death, Jiang Jichen suddenly became incredibly calm. His mind was a clear, empty slate as he silently recited the core mantra of the Undying Scripture.

Suddenly, his body shuddered. He was first plunged into a cold darkness, then enveloped by a gentle warmth. Finally, he felt a glittering, crystalline liquid dripping from the Tripod Lid above and landing on his body.

In an instant, his ravaged body began to rapidly heal under the crystalline liquid, and Jiang Jichen finally regained some of his strength and consciousness.

He opened his eyes, stood up, and lifted the Tripod Lid.

SPLASH!

The moment the lid opened, a stream of the glittering, crystalline liquid poured down like a waterfall, instantly submerging Jiang Jichen.

BOOM!

The next moment, Jiang Jichen felt his Spirit Sea churn and his Spirit Veins tremble as waves of incomparably pure Ancient Spiritual Power surged into his body.

Although this Spiritual Power wasn’t quite on par with the mysterious golden Ancient Spiritual Power, it was still extraordinary and not far behind.

’This is... the Holy Spirit Land within the Forbidden Array!’

In that instant, how could Jiang Jichen not realize what had happened?

After surviving such a terrifying, life-threatening ordeal, this bliss had come all too suddenly!

Jiang Jichen suppressed his emotions and calmly began to heal and recover.

Immersed in the Mysterious Spirit Liquid, Jiang Jichen opened his eyes one double-hour later.

He was fully recovered and had even grown stronger!

Only now did he have time to observe his surroundings.

He saw that the Holy Spirit Land was not large, only a hundred meters in diameter. At its center was a mysterious Spiritual Spring, which was where he was currently submerged. The surrounding area was empty, save for a single, mystical Spirit Tree growing in the middle of the spring.

Several Spirit Fruits hung from its branches, their fragrance filling the air. Just a single breath was enough to feel the supremely pure Spiritual Qi wafting from them.

But before Jiang Jichen could investigate further, he heard a commotion in the distance.
