Nangong Zhao was a man Jiang Jichen had long wanted to kill. He had repeatedly tried to harm him.

But... not now. They had to protect him. They couldn’t let Jiang Jichen kill anyone here.

If even one person on the Great Floating Island was killed, the Teleportation Array would activate.

And then, they would lose their best chance to kill Jiang Jichen.

So, at this moment, all the disciples from the Noble Families and Sects spared no effort, unleashing a barrage of attacks at Jiang Jichen.

Jiang Jichen was once again swallowed by the endless Light of Destruction.

Even so, he was in agony. He coughed up blood with every step, and his body was covered in countless fine cracks that oozed blood, which streamed down his legs and pooled on the ground.

And so, he walked forward, leaving a trail of blood with every step. He was a truly wretched sight.

But a wild, arrogant smile bloomed on Jiang Jichen’s face. His battle intent surged to the heavens, and his aura shot into the clouds.

His lips and teeth stained with blood, he declared, "Nangong Zhao, I will kill you today! Let’s see who can save you! Who can possibly stop me?"

Under the relentless onslaught of destruction, the Ancient Medicine Cauldron vibrated ceaselessly, feeling as heavy as a mountain.

Jiang Jichen gripped the cauldron’s handles tightly. His hands were a mangled mess of flesh and blood, and one could even see the ghastly white of bone beneath, but he paid it no mind.

It was as if the body was not his own.

Hoisting the Ancient Medicine Cauldron, he staggered, his body swaying as if he might collapse at any moment.

But he did not.

Every step was incredibly arduous, yet he continued to press forward.

In that moment, Jiang Jichen’s eyes saw only one person... Nangong Zhao!

And everyone was trying to stop him, to prevent him from killing Nangong Zhao.

Even the Second Senior Brother of the Flowing Cloud Sect had now made his move.

But at that moment, Nangong Zhao, surrounded and protected by the crowd, felt no sense of security. As he faced the approaching Jiang Jichen, who held the Bronze Rust Sword and advanced with the cauldron, he felt an overwhelming, mortal threat. In his heart, it was as if he were facing a Celestial God.

Before, whenever he faced Jiang Jichen, he had always felt superior, as if Jiang Jichen were merely a Loose Cultivator, an ant in the mortal dust.

But now, he felt that he was the ant.

Just then, the Sword Aura from the Flowing Cloud Sect’s Second Senior Brother arrived.

This was the instant that would decide life and death.

At that moment, a Blood-Red Battle Armor suddenly appeared on Jiang Jichen. In this life-or-death crisis, he unhesitatingly used the recently recovered Blood Cloth.

But it wasn’t enough. Even the Blood-Red Battle Armor could not stop the One Thought Life and Death Sword from the Flowing Cloud Sect’s second senior.

And so, a bloody radiance erupted from Jiang Jichen’s body!

This bloody radiance was different from the ancient, weathered, and blood-soaked aura of the Blood Cloth. Instead, it emitted a faint, intoxicating fragrance, like that of a woman’s perfume.

It was the blood-colored relics that Snowplum had given to Jiang Jichen.

He hadn’t used them for an attack, but instead condensed them into a mist of blood to protect his body.

And in the instant the blood mist formed, he put away the Ancient Medicine Cauldron, leaving his body completely exposed to everyone’s attacks.

By now, he had already crossed a great distance and was less than ten meters from Nangong Zhao.

The area around Jiang Jichen suddenly became calm and still. All attacks that came within ten meters of him were silently reduced to the Void.

Then, with a flick of his sword, Jiang Jichen shot forward. His body moved like a meteor streaking across the night sky—gone in one instant, reappearing in the next, as if he hadn’t moved from his original spot at all.

From within the crowd, Nangong Zhao’s head suddenly flew into the air, his severed face frozen in an expression of terror and utter disbelief.

This was the Thoughtless Life and Death Sword.

By the time everyone came to their senses, they realized that for that one brief instant, their minds had gone completely blank.

And it was in that single moment that Jiang Jichen had taken Nangong Zhao’s head.
