Countless members of the Fox Race turned to look. ’That commotion just now... Did something happen to the general?’

At this moment, even the Fox Race Soldiers who had held their ground couldn’t help but feel their hearts leap into their throats.

’If the commander is dead, how can we possibly fight this war? Should we retreat or not?’

"I-I’m fine!"

Fortunately, after a long silence, Marin slowly climbed out from a pile of bodies.

The Beastman Soldiers finally breathed a sigh of relief. A few adjutants immediately approached Marin with waterskins.

"General, perhaps we should..." The adjutants hesitated, looking at one another.

"Go now!" Marin finally lost his patience and roared.

Only after all the officers and Soldiers had looked away did Marin shakily sit down.

Although he had just said he was fine, he felt as if his internal organs had been mangled. His skin was in bad shape too, but Marin had temporarily suppressed the injuries with Magic.

Unable to bear it any longer, Marin sat down, feeling something warm beneath him.

He looked down and saw the adjutant who had just died protecting him.

Marin stared blankly, then gently closed the adjutant’s eyes.

The explosions at the front hadn’t affected Flaun’s advance.

Flaun raised his head to the moon, spread his arms, and let out a long howl. In the moonlight, his fur began to turn white, and he took on a regal, kingly aura.

In the legends of the Gnolls, the Wolf God Elus was a wolf whose fur and whiskers were pure white.

"AWOOOO!"

Following Flaun’s howl, the entire Gnoll army responded in kind. The somewhat loose-fitting cloth armor on their bodies was instantly filled out by bulging muscles.

As the pack howled, blood-red clouds began to form above the Gnoll army. But since it was night, the enemy shouldn’t be able to see them.

Once the Gnolls entered their bloodthirsty state, their rationality steadily declined.

As Flaun led his army charging past the Foxman Race’s position, several Magic Crystal Cannon shots landed right in their camp.

Due to their dense formation, these few Magic Crystal Cannon shots claimed several hundred lives in an instant. However, the blood-crazed Gnolls paid them no mind.

The deaths of their comrades only served to intensify the bloody aura above their heads. By the time the Gnolls reached the foot of the city walls, they could barely distinguish friend from foe and began attacking the Kobolds blocking their path.

Allies they might be, but the Gnolls’ actions made it clear they didn’t see the Kobolds as people.

They were practically slaughtering their way to the enemy’s walls!

The Kobolds, whose morale was already low, had now been screwed over by their own side twice in one day.

They were already exhausted, treated as both cannon fodder and slaves, and now they were being slaughtered by their own allies!

Even the most docile race would have lost their temper by now!

So, many Kobolds chose to turn and run.

On the Human Race’s walls, a full company of Warriors stood ready. The Tier Five fully Armored Warriors had secured every chokepoint, and Archers were in position on the ramparts.

The moment the Gnolls attacked, they would be met with hundreds, even thousands, of attacks from every angle, leaving no blind spots.

Meanwhile, on the Human walls.

"Is the Divine Water ready?" Robson asked, looking behind him. Bruce Priest had already arrived on the wall.

Based on Robson’s combat experience, whenever Beastmen were involved, they were bound to resort to some desperate, life-risking tactics.

"It’s ready, but... an enemy of this scale..." Bruce Priest trailed off, gulping as he stared at the massive blood-red cloud ahead.

"No matter. When the battle reaches a stalemate, just start splashing it," Robson said.

"As you command, my lord," Bruce Priest said.

’Since the boss has already given the order, it’s not my place to worry about it anymore.’

Watching Bruce Priest leave to command the Priests in the fortress, Robson turned his attention away from the Gnolls.

He had just heard the voices of Viscount Leo and Emil Knight, and it seemed Viscount Fuman was among them as well.

’I didn’t hear Claude, though. He shouldn’t be absent on an occasion like this. I guess he really is asleep.’

’With these men, plus my Tier Five Soldiers, we have more than enough.’
