Reign suddenly howled grabbing his head.His fingers dug into his hair as a sharp realization struck him.

"If I am correct... my girlfriend’s name is Nyxara Val Veydrin... don’t tell me she is a descendant from Veydrin, the God of this world."

His voice turned tense and unsteady as he stared at the screen.His eyes widened as disbelief and shock slowly crept across his face.

Reigns suddenly screamed jumping up from his seat.His chair slid back violently as he lost his balance, and his body tipped over before crashing hard onto the floor.

He cried out as his shoulder hit the ground and pain shot through his body. His hand instinctively reached out to grab something but instead struck the side of the table.

CLICK.

A hidden compartment on the side of the table suddenly sprang open with a sharp snap.

Something inside shifted, and a worn-out diary slipped out, followed by a cracked smartphone that clattered beside him.

Reign lay there for a moment breathing heavily, while his chest rose and fell as he tried to recover from the shock and pain.

Wincing in pain while his muscles protested,he slowly pushed himself up, "Ugh..."

He let out a strained breath, then reached for the broken phone first. The screen was shattered and faint cracks ran across it like a spiderweb.

It was Applephone of latest generation.

"Hiss..Did Nyx gifted it to me?"

"I don’t remember my family being this wealthy."

He muttered under his breath, turning it over in his hand before letting out a quiet sigh and placing it aside.

His gaze then shifted to the diary.

It looked old and worn, the edges of the pages slightly frayed, as if it had been used countless times.

Something about it made his chest tighten.

Reign hesitated for a moment, then slowly reached out and picked it up. His fingers brushed over the rough cover before he opened it.

The pages were filled with messy handwriting. Some lines were pressed deeply into the paper, as if written in frustration, while others were faint and uneven.

His eyes moved across the words.

[Nyxara... I loved her so much, but I feel suffocated.]

His fingers stiffened slightly.

[I feel like a failure... I am useless... I am a burden...]

[Ahh... I don’t want to live in this world... I want to live in peace.]

The same words repeated untill the end of the page.

Reigns took a deep breath and flipped to the next page.

[I tried to keep up with everyone, but I always fall behind.]

Reign’s grip on the diary tightened causing the edges of the pages crumble slightly under his fingers.

He continued flipping through the pages, faster this time but despite this he didn’t dared to be careless.

His eyes scanned line after line like a hawk.

[I smile in front of them, but I feel empty inside.]

[I don’t know when I started feeling like this.]

His eyes stopped at the last page.

The words there were written more neatly than the others, almost as if the writer had forced himself to remain calm while writing them.

Reigns felt his heart quicken as he read and what he read next blew his mind.

His breath hitched.

Then suddenly, the diary in his hands began to shake.

Reign’s eyes widened as the pages flipped on their own—one after another, faster and faster, as if an unseen force were turning them.

"What the..?"

Before he could react..

WHOOSH.

A faint flame appeared at the edge of the pages.

In the next instant, the entire diary caught fire.

Reigns instinctively tried to throw it away, but the flames spread too quickly.

Within seconds, the pages started to burn furiously.

All that remained was a small pile of ashes slipping through his fingers amidst which a page flew that was engulfed with fire.

On it Reigns noticed a line.

The fire burned fiercely and the diary was gone.

Reigns froze, staring at his empty hand in shock as his was mind unable to process what had just happened.
