The guards who were busy knocking down the other village warriors suddenly frowned upon witnessing the explosive impact on the battlefield.

"Huhh?!"

"What was that?!"

"Whatever it was, that was damned strong!"

"Hey, look..." one of the guards suddenly shouted while pointing toward the edge of the giant Shattered Canopy.

Everyone snapped their heads in the direction.

From behind the massive abomination, a bulky muscular figure slowly emerged through the dust, shattering the wood in the process.

The moment the four guards saw him clearly, their eyes widened in excitement.

"It’s Chief!"

"The Chief... he’s here!"

"Hell... I’m seeing a bump over his head."

"Ignore that, shithead. It might be from the collision."

"Yeahhh!"

The guards who had broken free from the controlled state cheered loudly right away.

Reigns stared at them in bewilderment before asking with a confused expression,

"But how did he manage to break himself free from control?"

"Because I made him remember."

"Huh? Who?" Reigns muttered before quickly turning toward the source of the voice.

There, he saw Gunther crawling out from the broken rubble in a battered and miserable state.

His clothes were torn apart, and bloodstains covered several parts of his body. An entire side of his face was badly swollen while his breathing also seemed rough and uneven.

"Gunther! What happened to you?!"

Reigns approached the man upon seeing his condition.

Gunther used his spear to support himself while dragging his injured body slowly across the shattered vines.

"I fought with him and managed to hit his head hard enough to knock some sense into him. After that, he started biting himself and smashing things around to keep himself sane."

"Then what about you?" Reigns grimaced while looking at his miserable condition.

Honestly, none of this trouble would have happened if Gunther had stayed in his hut instead of attacking him earlier.

Gunther gave a bitter smile before speaking in a tired voice.

"I did it for your own good."

"If you hadn’t killed a few of them, you wouldn’t have gotten their alias."

Reigns paused for a moment upon hearing that.

Nyxara steadied herself and looked upward after sensing another presence nearby.

Standing atop the abomination’s massive back was the bulky figure.

Barbros.

The giant muscular man slowly stood up while breathing heavily. His body was covered in wounds and black bloodstains.

He suddenly raised his fist and slammed it hard against his chest.

"I am Barbros... the Chief of Shattered Canopy! I have been trapped here for several years while forgetting everything I once aspired for!"

His furious roar echoed throughout the battlefield.

"You vile beast responsible for all this... curse you... I am going to kill you!"

The next moment, Barbros slammed his fist onto the abomination’s back.

BOOOOM!

A violent ripple exploded across the creature’s body.

The twisted faces covering the abomination’s back suddenly began wriggling violently before several of them opened their mouths at the same time.

Dark fleshy tongues instantly shot outward toward Barbros.

SSSSHHH!

Barbros immediately jumped away, narrowly dodging the attacks. Then, he grabbed one of the giant tongues tightly with both hands.

The thick muscles in his arms bulged as he pulled himself forward using the tongue itself.

Then, with a loud roar, he swung his fist with full force.

BAAAANG!

The heavy punch slammed straight into the abomination’s side, sending the giant creature rumbling sideways across the shattered canopy.

Several giant branches snapped apart from the impact.

Barbros raised his fist once again and prepared to slam his fists down another time.

But before he could attack, the giant abomination swatted him away with one of its massive arms.

BOOOOM!

The impact blasted Barbros through the air like a cannonball before his huge body crashed violently through several giant wooden branches nearby.

BOOOOOM!

Barbros tore through several giant branches before finally landing heavily on the massive surface of the Shattered Canopy.

The huge man coughed out blood and slowly pushed himself back to his feet while breathing heavily.

Meanwhile, the giant abomination let out another horrifying scream as its countless twisted faces wriggled nonstop across its body.

SCREEEEEECH!

Nyxara suddenly shot forward again like a blue flash.

SWISH!

Cold mist exploded around her as the freezing energy gathered around her greatsword.

The temperature around the battlefield dropped almost instantly.

Crack... Crack... Crack...

Layers of ice began spreading across the shattered wood beneath her feet.

Nyxara’s eyes turned colder as she raised her sword high before slashing downward without hesitation.

SLAAASH!

A giant wave of icy energy blasted across the abomination’s chest.

The freezing attack spread within moments, covering a huge portion of the creature’s body in thick ice.

Several twisted faces froze in place while their mouths remained open in silent screams.

The abomination violently thrashed around, smashing apart nearby branches while trying to break free.

But before it could fully move again, Barbros suddenly roared loudly and charged forward.

"I am not done with you yet!"

The glowing tattoos across his massive body suddenly lit up brightly.

Golden light spread across his muscles, and veins bulged around his arms.

The pressure around him changed instantly.

Barbros slammed both fists together before launching himself directly onto the abomination.

The entire shattered canopy trembled from the impact.

Barbros grabbed one of the giant frozen arms tightly before roaring again and ripping it apart with pure brute strength.

Black blood splattered everywhere.

The countless faces covering the arm immediately started screaming and biting toward him.

But Barbros showed not even the slightest fear.

He punched straight into them.

One horrifying face after another exploded beneath his fists.

Meanwhile, Nyxara appeared from the side once more.

Her movements had become even colder and more ruthless.

Her greatsword sliced through another giant arm.

Before the severed flesh could regenerate, she thrust her sword directly into the wound.

A massive burst of freezing energy exploded inside the creature’s body.

CRAAACK!

Ice spread through the torn flesh, freezing several parts of the abomination from within.

The monster screeched in pain while countless twisted faces lunged toward her from every direction.

Nyxara did not stop.

She stabbed again and again without giving the creature even a second to breathe.

Chunks of rotten flesh flew everywhere while black blood splattered across the frozen battlefield.

One twisted face suddenly lunged toward her with its giant mouth wide open.

Nyxara grabbed it with one hand before driving her sword straight through its skull.

CRUNCH!

The face burst apart instantly.

At the same time, Barbros grabbed two of the abomination’s giant arms and violently slammed the creature against the shattered canopy surface.

The impact created massive cracks across the giant trunk.

"You cursed piece of shit!" Barbros roared as he repeatedly punched the abomination’s body.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Each punch sounded like an explosion.

The glowing tattoos across his body became brighter and brighter while his brute strength continued growing.

The abomination tried fighting back as countless faces bit toward Barbors and giant tongues shot outward wildly.

But the man grabbed those tongues with his bare hands before tearing them apart with a violent jerk.

Nyxara suddenly leaped high into the air again while icy mist gathered around her sword.

The blue glow surrounding her blade intensified.

Then she descended like a falling meteor.

SLAAAAASH!

The giant sword tore through the frozen portion of the abomination’s chest and split it open with a violent pull.

CRAAAAACK!

The frozen flesh shattered into countless pieces while the giant creature staggered backward beneath the combined assault of Nyxara and Barbros.
