After all these years, it had satisfied a little fantasy of his.

Just hearing that "Brother Yuan" was enough to get Shen Yuan going.

He was making a trip to Hang City today.

By the time Shen Yuan had washed up and was heading out the door, Old Shen and Ms. Zhang were still enjoying a lazy holiday morning in bed.

Shen Yuan had already told them yesterday that he was going out, so he wasn’t worried about them getting anxious over his whereabouts.

In Ms. Zhang’s mind, she probably just assumed Shen Yuan was going out with Li Zhi.

Arriving at the bus stop near the general store, Shen Yuan soon caught a bus heading to the main bus terminal.

For a National Day morning, the bus wasn’t too crowded.

Once he reached the final stop, the main bus terminal, Shen Yuan hurried to the ticket hall to buy his ticket.

Shen Yuan had already planned his trip before leaving.

The system hadn’t specified a destination, so Shen Yuan naturally chose a target based on what was most convenient for him.

His choice: Zijin Port.

He would take a bus from the Jiyang Bus Terminal to Hang City North Bus Station, then unlock a shared bike.

After a ride of ten-odd minutes, Shen Yuan reached his destination.

An appointment was required to enter the campus, but Shen Yuan had already taken care of that in advance.

After scanning the code to get in, Shen Yuan began to wander around aimlessly.

Watching the words "Welcome, New Students" scroll across an electronic screen, Shen Yuan suddenly realized that this century-old institution had just recently welcomed new blood.

The shade of the trees wove a dappled pattern of light and shadow across the asphalt road as Shen Yuan rode aimlessly along Qizhen Lake.

A few black swans floated on the lake. The ripples from their wingtips grazing the water intertwined with the reflection of the distant Crescent Tower’s glass curtain wall, merging modern architecture and natural scenery into a dynamic ink wash painting.

Even though it was the National Day holiday, quite a few students had chosen to remain on campus at Zhejiang University.

Shen Yuan cycled past a few students who were out for a run.

As he meandered, Shen Yuan found himself at the main library.

On the library steps, a girl in a hanfu was adjusting her camera, its lens aimed at another girl also wearing a hanfu.

Just then, a familiar voice suddenly rang out in Shen Yuan’s mind.

DING!

Shen Yuan squeezed the handbrake, stopping the bike on the path.

"Li Zhi’s... memories?"

Shen Yuan couldn’t help but look toward the nearby library.

’As a university student, he must have spent a lot of time in the library, right?’

With that thought, Shen Yuan locked the bike and headed toward the library.

The library wasn’t open to the public, so Shen Yuan still needed an appointment to get in.

Fortunately, it wasn’t crowded because of the holiday, and Shen Yuan managed to secure a spot.

After scanning the code to enter, Shen Yuan was slightly awed by the sheer scale of the library.

Soon, however, his focus returned to the mission.

’Li Zhi’s memories... Where in the library would he usually have gone?’

Shen Yuan had the sudden urge to call Li Zhi and ask Young Master Li where he used to hang out in the library back in college.

But he figured Young Master Li’s response would probably be to tell him to get lost.
