Li Zhi scoffed at Shen Yuan’s words, gave him a blunt eye-roll, and pressed the button to close the elevator doors.

Perhaps because of what Li Zhi had said earlier, Shen Yuan skipped the steamed bun shop today. Instead, he found a stall selling savory pancakes and bought an eight-yuan pancake and a bottle of Liziyuan.

"And you know how I’m acting as Ah Shuai’s strategist."

"Get to the point!" Shen Yuan felt his patience wearing thin.

Sun Xiansheng gave a slightly apologetic look, then rushed to explain, "Okay, so since it’s the Mid-Autumn Festival and we have a day off, I told Ah Shuai to ask out the girl who lives next door to him. The problem is, the two of us have been racking our brains but can’t figure out where they should go. Do you have any good ideas?"

Shen Yuan looked at Sun Xiansheng and blinked.

Shen Yuan pointed at himself, his face a mask of confusion as he looked at Sun Xiansheng, as if to ask:

"Me?"

Sun Xiansheng nodded eagerly, his face full of anticipation as he looked at Shen Yuan.

"As their strategist, I can’t accept setting them up like that! If they get married someday and invite me to the wedding dinner, I’d be too embarrassed to admit I was their matchmaker."

Sun Xiansheng looked at Shen Yuan and said, "Just imagine, if people found out I set them up, they’d definitely ask how. Then I’d have to tell them I sent them to an internet cafe for a date."

After Sun Xiansheng left, Shen Yuan suddenly shot up from his seat. He formed a sword-finger gesture with his index and middle fingers and, with exaggerated force, jabbed it through the air in Li Zhi’s direction.

"You were just laughing, weren’t you?"

Li Zhi leisurely twirled her pen, a smile playing on her lips. "I’m laughing now, too."
