Feng Bei had made plans with him for tonight, so she didn’t come to stand guard.

Many Wandering carters were coming and going in front of the gate, hauling muddy water and building materials.

He had originally wanted to appear inside Post Station Feng Bei, but Feng Bei was what you could call a monster. He feared something might go wrong if he casually entered the Feng Bei Post Station, so Zheng Xiu chose Feng Bei’s home as his teleportation anchor.

In the vortex, a pitch-black door swung open. When Zheng Xiu emerged, he found himself in mid-air, next to a cliff face.

It seemed the range of a [Post Station] was indeed spherical, just as Zheng Xiu had predicted.

A piercing bird cry echoed like a clap of thunder. By now, Zheng Xiu was already skilled at transforming. His chest pulsed, and black, vein-like patterns spread across his body. A single wing unfurled, trailing an inky shadow. Like a humanoid demon, Zheng Xiu carried two Large Curved Sabers with chains wrapped around his arms as he sped toward the mountaintop.

In front of the house, a bonfire was lit. Feng Bei was sitting beside it, boredly tossing logs into the flames one by one.

SIZZLE! SIZZLE! SIZZLE!

A strong gust of wind pressed down from above, sending sparks flying. The bonfire let out a harsh crackle.

Feng Bei looked up, the corner of her mouth twitching into a smirk.

"Sister Feng Bei, taste my blade!"

Zheng Xiu was impatient. After that one opening line, he started to grind for Skills against the Treasure Queen, Feng Bei.

CLANK! CLANK! CLANK!

The chains shot out in a surprise attack, surging toward Feng Bei.

Having fought with Zheng Xiu all night, Feng Bei already had a clear understanding of his Miracle Technique—or so she had thought.

The Curved Saber swung down, its brilliant arc splitting in two. Within the burning black flames, faint traces of black Electric Light coiled.

As it fell, the Curved Saber was like a bolt of black, fiery lightning striking downward.

WHOOSH!

The bonfire was extinguished in an instant.

Feng Bei’s gaze sharpened, and she stared in astonishment at the smug-looking youth in mid-air.
