I Only Level Up When I Seal My Enemies

Chapter 39: Immortal Undeads (3)

Riven didn’t waste his time instead he mentally issued a command to his newly gained subject to attack the remaining Undead around them.

It obeyed. In an instant, it lunged towards the undead to his right, exchanging countless blows in the span of a heartbeat.

Riven didn’t pay any attention to that battle instead his gaze swept across the entire room. Krylian was fighting two undeads while Devil Slayer and his new subject were fighting one each.

So, in total, there were 4 undeads...

Suddenly, he heard the sound of footsteps rapidly growing louder and louder with each passing second. He turned his head around and froze.

Two more undeads had entered the tower and were charging towards him. This wasn’t all... dozens of undead stood near the entrance.

Although, they weren’t entering the building for some reason. However, they kept staring at them... He wouldn’t be surprised if they all entered the building a few minutes later.

Once they entered the building... getting them out would became nearly impossible which will make survival very difficult.

As for making them his subjects? That was out of the question... his gaze lingered on his mana reserves.

(Mana Reserve: 79/320)

This much mana wasn’t even enough to make another undead his subject. Let alone dozens of undead...

As he stared at his mana reserves, the undead charging towards him finally reached him...

They launched a barrage of attacks but he moved his body from left to right then right to left, dodging each and every single attack.

As Riven dodged, he saw something from the corner of his eye that made his face pale.

More undead were slowly stepping inside the building. They had to stop, and there was only one way.

Riven turned his head towards Krylian and shouted.

"We need to block the entrance!!"

Krylian replied as he blocked the attacks of the Undead.

"If you know that, what are you doing? Go and block it!"

Riven shouted back as he dodged the attacks of the Undead.

"How the hell am I supposed to block the entrance? Can’t you see I am fighting the undeads!"

Krylian didn’t reply... instead, he pushed the undead that he was fighting back. They slammed onto the ground with a loud thud.

Krylian lunged towards him. When Krylian was close enough, he pushed Riven away. Riven rolled on the ground for a few moments before coming to a halt.

Before Riven could even stand up... Krylian’s voice resounded through his ears.

"I will push all the undead outside this building. When I do that... you must block the entrance at all costs."

Riven didn’t say a word instead he got up and just nodded his head. He carefully scanned the area near the entrance and found just the thing he needed.

There were two towering pillars at the sides of the entrance. They were tilted in such a way that one of them collapsed, it would fall directly across the entrance.

He stared at them and mumbled.

"That can work."

If he just destroyed or cut down one of the pillars... then it would effectively block the entrance. Although, it could destabilize the already damaged tower... he had no choice.

Suddenly the howls of the undead reached his ear...

He turned his head around and froze.

The undead that Krylian had thrown to the ground, got up and charged towards him.

Krylian didn’t panic instead he also pushed the undead that he was fighting back and ran towards Devil Slayer. As he did, Krylian shouted.

"Tell your wolf to stop attacking the undead. As I said, I will take care of the undeads."

Riven just nodded his and then he mentally issued a command to all his subjects in this room.

"Stop whatever you are doing and follow me..."

Afterwards Riven ran straight towards the massive pillars with all his might while his subjects followed behind. As Riven ran, he saw from the corner of his eye... Krylian attacking the remaining undead.

Krylian attacked the undeads that his subjects were fighting. The undeads become agitated and charged towards him

Now every single undead in the room was after him...

But not according to Krylian...

Krylian lunged towards his newly gained Subject, his sword pointed towards it. He was also going to attack it... Krylian was certainly unaware of his powers.

That’s probably why he was attacking it.

So before Krylian could attack his subject... he shouted.

"Don’t attack that one! He is on our side!"

Krylian blinked a couple of times and asked.

"What? He is an undead... how could it be on our side?"

Riven shouted back.

"I will break it down to you later! Just don’t attack."

Krylian didn’t do anything to his subject but he kept a close eye on it as it followed him.

Riven paid him no attention and continued running towards the massive pillars. When he reached the pillars, the undead outside tried to enter the building.

He quickly commanded his subjects.

"Don’t let any undead enter the building."

Devil Slayer and his newly gained subject stood near the entrance. Whenever, an undead tried to enter the building... they pushed them away.

Now he had to wait for Krylian to push the undeads outside before doing anything. So he waited as he stared at Krylian.

Krylian exchanged countless blows with 6 undeads... each blow pushing the undeads a few cm backwards. Every single minute they got closer and closer to the entrance.

When they were just a few inches away from the entrance, a blue aura engulfed Krylian’s body and it kept expanding until it engulfed every single undead’s body.

The undead’s movement became clumsy and the force of their blows became weaker too.

Krylian took a deep breath and swung his axe with all his might. The devastating blow sent every undead hurtling backward. They crashed into the ground, bounced into the air, then slammed down again, skidding across the earth before finally coming to a stop beyond the entrance.

Then Krylian’s voice resounded through his ears.

"Now!"

Riven nodded his head but just as he was about to cut down the massive pillar... the system whispered into his ears.

(Your buff will run out in 10 seconds!)

A quiet curse escaped his mouth.

"Fuck."
