Li Wei snorted, gesturing to Wang Meng and the others lying on the ground, his eyes filled with ridicule.

He spread his arms as if to embrace the giant eye behind him, his face contorting with a sick fanaticism.

"My original mission was to gently ’incubate’ the Holy Infant. It was you who forced me to resort to this crude method."

A cruel smile crept onto his face.

"This forced descent will cause the Holy Infant to lose all control, turning it into a monster that knows only how to devour."

"Congratulations. You and your companions will become its first fine meal upon awakening."

"And because of this, the entire Suspended Mountain Secret Realm will be turned into a true land of the dead."

"Aren’t you afraid... of getting yourself killed in the process?"

Han Feng stared at him, the Sword Essence within his body churning violently as he tried to break through the invisible restraints.

"Killed?"

Li Wei roared with laughter, as if he’d just heard the funniest joke in the world.

"Who do you think I am?"

"This body is merely the mortal shell of that fool, Li Wei."

"My true self is worlds away."

He pointed to his head.

"I am merely a wisp of Divine Thought that was attached to him."

"Even if this body is blasted to ash by the Holy Infant’s backlash, to me, it’s just the loss of a few years of Cultivation. I’ll recover it all after a decade or so of seclusion."

At this, his gaze turned bone-chillingly cold, his killing intent on full display.

"But all of you... you will all die."

Before the words had faded, Li Wei made a grasping motion in the air with one hand.
