The moment the voice reached his ears, Su Xuan felt something stir within him, as if his very bones were vibrating.

The voice seemed to possess a kind of Magic, drawing him in until he was completely enthralled.

Through the half-open doorway, he glimpsed the beautiful woman inside. Her figure was graceful yet buxom, radiating vitality. A pale yellow braid rested gently on her chest, giving her an air of innocence mixed with an ineffable allure. Her eyes were as gentle as tranquil water, like deep lakes shimmering with a bright, captivating light. A single glance was all it took to make him burn with the desire to explore the world within those eyes, to see more of her, to know everything about her.

"Mom, we invited the President and some friends from the Guild home for dinner."

Beiya Fuli explained softly to the Female Elf.

"Oh~?"

The Female Elf raised her head slightly, her heterochromatic red and blue eyes landing on Su Xuan, who stood just outside the door. She smiled gently.

"Welcome. Thank you so much for taking care of my daughters."

"Not at all~"

Su Xuan smiled, waving his hand dismissively, and slowly walked into the cabin.

The furniture inside the cabin was sparse: just a wooden table, a few wooden stools, and a simple wooden bed.

’Only one bed?’

’Have the three of them—the mother and her two daughters—really been squeezing onto one bed to sleep?’

The moment they stepped inside, Beiya Fuli and Beira Furo immediately brought over two wooden stools for Su Xuan and Ivsha.

The sisters, meanwhile, sat huddled together on the edge of the bed, leaning against their mother.

"Are... are Beiya Fuli and Beira Furo doing all right in your Guild? Have they been hurt on any of their missions? Could I trouble you to give them some less dangerous tasks? It’s their first time leaving the Elf Kingdom, and they know nothing of the outside world..." the Female Elf pleaded.

"Rest assured, I don’t allow any of my Guild members to take on dangerous missions beyond their abilities," Su Xuan promised with a faint smile.

"Is that so? That’s wonderful~"

The Female Elf placed a hand over her chest, letting out a long sigh of relief.

Then, she introduced herself. "Oh, I’ve forgotten my manners. My name is Beiya Leila. It’s a pleasure to meet you."

"Su Xuan."

"Ivsha~"

"Mr. President~ Miss Ivsha~" Beiya Leila said with a smile. "Please take good care of Beiya Fuli and Beira Furo. Because of me, they’ve been forced to shoulder a burden they never should have had to bear!"

"Don’t worry, everyone in the Guild looks after the two sisters. Right, Ivsha?" Su Xuan replied.

"Mhm, that’s right," Ivsha quietly affirmed.

"That’s wonderful. I was worried the two of them wouldn’t be able to adapt to the outside world. Hearing you say that puts my mind at ease." Beiya Leila’s gaze was a gentle caress, as clear and bright as spring water, and it was all too easy to get lost in its depths.

’Is this the allure of a woman who’s had children? She’s so different from Ivsha and the others... there’s an added layer of tenderness.’ The mature charm she exuded with every gesture left Su Xuan slightly astonished.

"Mom, we’re back with the ingredients for dinner!"

In the middle of their conversation, the Elf Sisters returned to the cabin, arms full of ingredients.

"I’ll go prepare dinner, then. Please make yourselves comfortable for a little while," Beiya Leila said as she stood and walked toward the kitchen.

Beiya Fuli and Beira Furo went to help their mother, leaving Su Xuan and Ivsha alone in the main room of the cabin.

"Mr. Su Xuan, the Elf Sisters’ mother is so beautiful, isn’t she? So gentle and kind," Ivsha murmured admiringly in Su Xuan’s ear.

"Yeah."

Su Xuan grunted in agreement. He felt something was off, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it.

Soon, the Elf mother and daughters had prepared a sumptuous dinner for Su Xuan and Ivsha.

Although it was all vegetarian, the aroma was rich and tantalizing.

"Please, eat up, Mr. President~"

Beiya Leila acted just like a classmate’s mother, enthusiastically piling food onto Su Xuan’s plate.

Beiya Leila spoke as she glided toward Su Xuan, the fruit knife in her hand.

The oppressive aura she projected as she closed the distance step by step made Su Xuan’s expression turn grim.
