The void within the micro-dimension trembled as the crimson-green and dark blue domains crashed into one another with apocalyptic force. Hestia's twin cloth blades snapped like vipers through the darkness, carving lethal arcs toward Hazel from impossible angles.

Hazel parried with a scoff, her red-black eyes narrowing as her invisible willforce technique pulsed forward again, bypassing physical defenses, ignoring the clash of weapons, and striking directly at Hestia's mind.

Hestia's left arm locked for a fraction of a second, her concentration momentarily fractured by the psychic assault. Her cloth blade wavered mid-strike, the perfect angle collapsing into something exploitable.

Hazel capitalized instantly. Her dark blue sword slipped through the opening, slicing deep into Hestia's shoulder and sending crystallized blood scattering into the void.

Yet before Hazel could press the advantage and turn that momentary wound into something fatal, a brilliant green-gold light flared from the torn flesh. The properties of Hestia's newly merged divine concept activated instantly, knitting bone, muscle, and skin back together in a heartbeat without requiring any significant expenditure of mana or willforce from Hestia herself.

She knew she possessed greater endurance, higher mastery of consciousness, and more refined willforce methods. She knew that if the fight continued long enough, she would eventually grind Hestia down through attrition alone.

But the sheer persistence of Hestia's recovery made the process agonizingly slow, irritating, and humiliating.

A short distance away, Adrian hovered in the void, guarded by the imposing figures of Octaven and Kaelar. His eyes were closed, and his consciousness was fully submerged within the infinite expanse of his Source Seed.

Inside that vast internal world, the rules of Crimson Vital Dominion and Verdant Genesis were being fused, the two divine concepts harmonizing faster and more smoothly than any normal cultivator could ever hope to achieve.

Everything went smoothly, and the merging of the rules was almost complete. The two chambers within his Source Seed had nearly become one unified structure, pulsing with crimson-green radiance.

But as the final rule fragments aligned, something entirely unexpected occurred.

Adrian suddenly felt violent, explosive tremors erupting not within his physical body or his Mana Sea, but deep within his very consciousness. The entire micro-dimension groaned beneath the pressure of that energy. The artificial boundary, which had held the Peak Rule Stage battlefield apart from the main war, cracked like fragile glass beneath a force it had never been designed to contain.

Its dimensional walls shattered outward, and every cultivator within it, including Adrian, Hestia, Hazel, Ignis, Pyros, Nightshade, Octaven, Kaelar, Yselia, and the remaining Peak Rule Stage beings, was instantly displaced and thrown back into the chaotic expanse of the outside battlefield.

Across the battlefield, every cultivator kept hearing the chime within themselves. Blades halted mid-swing, spells collapsed before being released, domains flickered, and entire formations froze as millions of Rule Stage cultivators instinctively turned their gazes toward one figure floating in the void.

A Crimson Vital disciple lowered his weapon, his eyes wide. "What… what is this sound?"

"It is like, it's coming inside from my head," another whispered, fear creeping into her voice.

Adrian hovered silently at the center of the disturbance, his eyes still closed, his posture calm without any essence radiating from him. Yet everyone felt that the chime had come from him. More than that, they felt as if their own consciousness was responding to something emanating from his existence, as if a part of their awareness had been touched by something far beyond their comprehension.

Even Hestia and Hazel, who had been locked in a violent battle only a moment earlier, were forced to stop.

Hazel stared at Adrian's floating figure, her red-black pupils contracting with a hint of terror that she could not completely hide.

"How?" Hazel hissed, her composure completely breaking as panic flooded her features. "Shit."

She did not hesitate for even a fraction of a second. She violently withdrew her domain and retreated from Hestia with desperate speed, moving directly toward Ignis and Pyros.

She reached her brothers and grabbed them both by the shoulders while they were still staring at Adrian in stunned confusion.

"Sister?" Ignis began, but Hazel cut him off.

Without giving Ignis or Pyros a single word of explanation, Hazel held them tightly and blinked.

The three of them vanished from the battlefield.

Hestia's eyes narrowed as she watched the space where Hazel had stood. "She is running..."

Nightshade appeared beside her, his shadow-wreathed form materializing from the void. "She must have recognized something we did not."

Hazel pushed her teleportation to the limit, crossing the vast expanse of the Andromeda Galaxy as quickly as she could. Each blink covered thousands of light-years, the spatial transitions jarring and violent. Ignis and Pyros stumbled each time the spatial transition jarred their already battered bodies, their injuries flaring with every forced movement.

"Sister Hazel, what are you doing?" Ignis demanded, his voice strained by injury and disbelief. "Why are we leaving the battlefield now? We were not defeated yet."

Hazel did not answer. She blinked again, dragging them further into the void.

"Sister, please explain," Pyros added, his face pale as he struggled to stabilize his aura. "The sect is still there. Our forces are still fighting."

But Hazel did not answer. She continued blinking through the void, widening the distance between them and the central battlefield until the light of the war became distant, faint, and finally unreachable.

Only when they arrived near the desolate, silent edges of the Andromeda Galaxy did Hazel finally stop.

Ignis tore himself free from her grip, humiliation and fury twisting across his wounded face. He stumbled forward, then whirled on her. "Sister Hazel, why did you pull us out?"

Hazel turned toward him, her expression still tense despite the distance they had created. "Staying there would only lead to our deaths. We cannot win that fight anymore."

Ignis stared at her as if he had misheard. "What? How? How can someone like you lose? You are an Astral Stage cultivator from a Major Sect. Even Hestia had only just ascended. Adrian was wounded. How could the situation change so suddenly?"

Hazel's eyes darkened, "Have I not already told you that the higher mastery of consciousness is what truly separates the Astral Stage from the Rule Stage?"

Pyros, whose mind had finally steadied enough to speak properly, looked between Hazel and the distant center of the galaxy. "Yes, Sister, we know. You explained that before. But what does that have to do with us running from the battlefield like this?"

Hazel exhaled slowly, her gaze distant. "That Adrian had ascended to the Astral Stage. But that alone is not the reason we retreated. Even if he became an Astral Stage cultivator, even if Hestia had also ascended, I could still deal with two newly ascended Astral Stage beings together. But the problem is that Adrian can no longer be classified as a newly ascended Astral cultivator."

Ignis frowned deeply, his anger momentarily giving way to confusion. "Why? What is different about him?"

"To understand that, you need to understand the progression within the Astral Stage," Hazel replied. "In the Rule Stage, you master your divine concepts. You spend time deepening your comprehension, increasing your mastery, refining your divine spells, and raising your authority. That is how progression is divided there. But the Astral Stage is different."

"Think about it carefully. When you fuse your two Rule Cores, you form an Astral Core, and the two divine concepts you mastered become one higher concept. But remember, you have already mastered these two components. Even after they merge and form a higher concept, it does not take an extraordinary amount of time to create spells based on the new concept. Other than experimenting with new spells and discovering the features of your merged divine concept, there is no long path of concept mastery like there was before."

She looked toward the distant center of the galaxy, where Adrian remained beyond their sight but not beyond her fear. "So, once you become an Astral Stage being, progression in divine concepts no longer provides the same value. The true progression of the Astral Stage is mainly the progression of consciousness."

"Astral cultivators divide that progression into multiple stages, and those stages determine how powerful a cultivator is. The first of those stages is called the Chime of Consciousness. Even though it is only the first stage, it is not easy to achieve. Willforce is the energy of mind, intent, and consciousness. To master consciousness after ascending to the Astral Stage, one has to learn willforce techniques, practice controlling them, and gradually deepen one's understanding of one's own consciousness."

"When a cultivator practices willforce techniques to a certain level, their mastery of consciousness increases, and they eventually reach the Chime of Consciousness. It means that the cultivator can control their consciousness far better, and their willforce techniques become much more powerful."

Ignis opened his mouth, but Hazel continued before he could speak.

"To give you an example, the battlefield at the center of Andromeda has several million Rule Stage cultivators, does it not? If that boy used a willforce technique to attack them now, at least half of those cultivators would faint. That is the true power of someone who has reached the first stage, and even I cannot do it yet, because I have not reached the first stage."

Ignis and Pyros fell silent.

Only now did they truly begin to understand the deeper terror of the Astral Stage. If the first stage of consciousness mastery could already make millions of Rule Stage cultivators helpless, what about the stages beyond it? What about beings who had trained willforce for tens of millions or billions of years? What kind of monsters existed in the larger universe beyond Andromeda?

But how did Adrian reach the first stage of consciousness the moment he ascended? You have been an Astral being for a few thousand years and still have not reached it. How did he?"

Hazel shook her head slowly. "To be honest, I do not know. The only known way to increase mastery of consciousness is through practicing willforce techniques. A Peak Rule Stage cultivator should not even be able to practice such techniques, so for him to possess that much mastery the moment he ascended is an anomaly beyond common sense."

Her eyes narrowed, and the fear in them slowly transformed into something colder, sharper. "But that no longer matters to us. What matters is that we cannot win. If I stayed there and fought him, his consciousness would be stronger than mine, and my willforce techniques would have little to no effect on him. Once that advantage vanished, facing him and Hestia together would only lead to our deaths."

A faint, cruel smile began to form on Hazel's face.

"But things are not that simple for him either. We cannot deal with him, yes, but that does not mean others cannot. He reached the Chime of Consciousness immediately upon ascending. That alone will draw the attention of many Major Sects watching over Andromeda. They will see him as an anomaly, a genius, perhaps even a treasure. Some will genuinely want to recruit him, but recruitment means only one sect can have him, and the others will be forced to watch such a monster walk into a rival's hands. Do you think the other Major Sects will simply allow someone like that to be taken by a rival?"

Ignis and Pyros's eyes slowly sharpened as they understood where her thoughts were going.

Hazel's smile grew colder. "No. Some will want him as a disciple or elder candidate. Some will want him dead before another sect obtains him. Others will want to dissect whatever secrets he carries. The greed of cultivators is the weapon we will turn against him. There is no way he can escape this alive."

Ignis's lips curled into a bitter grin. "So, all we have to do now is wait."

"Yes, we wait," Hazel confirmed. "And we watch as the universe devours him."
