Leanne Walsh went to a bar in the Third District.

The place was in a secluded location. While not packed with people, its small size made it feel a bit crowded. If anything went wrong, it would be easy to disappear into the crowd, which suited her perfectly.

Naturally, she had snuck out without Kevin Howell’s knowledge, evading even the men he’d sent to "protect" her.

Kevin Howell was intensely possessive.

Since he considered Leanne Walsh his "private property," he would never allow her to go to a place like this, where she would come into contact with people—especially men.

As she was lost in a hazy train of thought, a strange voice reached her ears. "Excuse me, may I sit here?"

Leanne Walsh looked up sluggishly. The young man standing across from her offered a remarkably gentle smile, looking at her with a hint of shyness.

In that instant, it felt as though a chord had been struck deep in her heart.

"Mm."

"Could I buy you a glass of water? I mean, you’ve had a lot to drink. It can’t be good for your stomach."

The man’s consideration and subtle affection almost brought tears to Leanne Walsh’s eyes.

’How long has it been?’

’How long since I’ve been cared for and cherished like a normal woman?’

She had once thought her type was the handsome, strong man, but now she realized it was this gentle, non-aggressive type of man who could truly move her!

A man and a woman, practically squeezed together in such a small, dimly lit space—things were naturally not going to end with just a glass of water.

Leanne Walsh knew she didn’t have much time. She never thought she could escape Kevin Howell’s control. No, perhaps it was more accurate to say she didn’t want to escape, despite the humiliation and resentment!

When she pressed close and sat on the man’s lap, and he, unable to resist her teasing, finally entered her, Leanne Walsh suddenly felt a thrill of immense pleasure.

Seeing her, the man shot up in pleasant surprise, knocking over a bottle on the table in his haste.

Leanne Walsh bit her lower lip hard. A moment later, she melted into his arms as if she had no bones.

She wasn’t particularly fond of this man, but she felt a deep-seated reluctance to lose him.

Or rather, she didn’t want to lose this warm comfort.

Her trips out became more and more frequent, especially after Kevin Howell’s visits to the villa.

Someone finally noticed something was amiss...

One day, Kevin Howell informed her in advance that he was taking her to a dinner party and told her to prepare herself well.

But Kevin had been in a bad mood recently, and his temper was always volatile. She just hoped her performance would please him, so she could then seize the opportunity to propose her plan to eliminate Paige Summers for good.

But it was a little strange. Kevin Howell didn’t come to pick her up today; instead, he had his guards take her directly to the venue.

This made her a little uneasy.

Although Kevin Howell made all sorts of strange and humiliating demands of her, he did, for the most part, dote on her.
