"Stop! Stop!! Stop!!!"

As Jane fell to her knees, she began to tremble. Tears began to drop from her eyes and she immediately covered her face with her hands.

"I... I didn’t do anything. I didn’t kill her. I didn’t."

She began to mumble some words that no one was able to hear. "It’s not my fault. It’s not. It’s not."

As she was going through something that no one knew about, her brother quickly grabbed her and assured her.

"No. It’s okay." He also sat down and, after taking her in his embrace, he began to caress her hair. "You didn’t do anything wrong. Everything is alright."

As he whispered those words into her ear, a scream escaped her lips and a burst of energy erupted from her body that made everyone watching the scene get blown far away, except for Bane.

"ARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

Her brother kept stroking her hair and kept saying that she hadn’t done anything wrong. But her scream didn’t fade. Instead, it only intensified.

When Bane realized that his actions were not working, he grabbed her shoulders and pushed her away.

"Look around you. It isn’t that nightmare. Look, everything is peaceful, there is no monster and no Viora here so please just calm down."

He took her face in his hands and touched his head with hers. "Please, calm down. I beg you. Please come back." With his thumb, he wiped away her tears and soon Jane’s scream began to decrease.

"B-bane...?" When she regained herself, she saw Bane crying in front of her. "W... What happened? W-why are you crying?"

She asked but without answering her, he stood up and after carrying his sister in his arms, he walked away to their car.

As they paced away, Jane looked around and saw many people on the ground, some were unconscious, and some were breathing heavily.

"What happened here?" she thought before Bane settled her in the car and drove away.

"Brother, aren’t you gonna tell me what happened there?" Jane asked with curiosity. "Did a Gate Break happen there? And why were you crying anyway?"

"It’s nothing. You should get some rest, it will take a bit of time before we reach home. I will explain everything later."

Bane told her to sleep and Jane complied to him since she also was feeling very tired. "Alright, tell me when we reach home," she said and closed her eyes.

It didn’t take her much time to drift into a deep sleep. Bane looked at her and parked the car at the side of the road, then he got out of it.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

After walking a bit further away from the car, he looked up at the sky and let out a shriek.

"AHHHHHHH!!!!"

Letting all his frustration out into the sky, he let himself fall and sit on the ground. His arms were on his knees and his face was lowered toward the road.

"Why?"

He whispered, "Just why?"

Those were the only words he could speak of. After all, his thoughts were all jumbled up.

’Why is she still like this? Why does this happen to her?’

He was thinking about his sister who just had a little seizure. The thing is she had two personalities. No. Not personalities. She was two completely different persons.

And the keyword to activate the second personality was ’Viora’.

’I have tried everything I could to find a cure for her, or a way to heal her but no matter what I do she just stays the same.’

He had gone through hell and heaven for his sister. He killed, he saved, and he even protected people all in the hope that one day he will let his sister live as a normal human.

But now everything seems pointless. Because, if he cures one personality, a new one appears. Even more brutal and stronger than the previous one.

So he just gave up on it and decided to be with his sister until she dies or kills him.

’I can’t see her like this anymore, please God, if you are there then please help my sister.’ He looked up at the sky and hoped for everything to fall into its right place before it gets out of hand.

But as the saying goes, God doesn’t help those who don’t help themselves. So if he stayed still doing nothing then he shouldn’t hope for anything to change, and that made him come to only one decision.

’I should find Viora. At this point she is the only one who can help my sister.’ Making up his mind, he stood up and sat inside his car.

However, before driving away, he looked at Jane’s blood-covered face for more than a few minutes.
