Selvara looked at Damian for a moment before changing the topic. "Go meet your two disciples. They have already heard about your situation."

Damian blinked. "My situation?"

Selvara glanced at his torn robe, messy hair, and the faint bloodstains still on his sleeve.

Damian followed her gaze and immediately understood.

His mouth twitched. "Master, are you sure you didn’t train me too hard on purpose just so they could misunderstand later?"

Selvara’s expression did not change. "You think too much."

Damian stared at her silently.

For some reason, he really did not believe that.

However, arguing with Selvara was clearly useless, so Damian could only sigh and nod. "Fine. I’ll go see them."

Violetta and Vulkara were already standing there.

The moment they saw Damian’s current appearance, both of their expressions changed.

Vulkara’s eyes widened first. "Master, what happened to you?"

Violetta’s expression also became worried. "Master, are you injured?"

Damian waved his hand casually. "Relax. I’m fine."

Vulkara gritted her teeth. "Was it because of that bastard Golden Core cultivator?"

Violetta’s usually calm eyes also became colder. "Did he injure you this badly?"

Damian froze for a moment and slowly shook his head. "No."

The two of them paused.

Damian pointed at his torn robe with a dead expression. "This was from Master’s training."

Damian stared at them.

Damian felt like his heart had been stabbed.

"You two..." He placed one hand over his chest. "At least pretend to feel sorry for me."

Vulkara looked away. "Master, if Elder Selvara trained you, that means she did not want to kill you."

Damian’s mouth twitched. "That’s your standard?"

Violetta softly added, "Also, if Elder Selvara truly wanted to kill Master, you probably would not be standing here right now."

Damian stared at her.

For some reason, that calm and gentle answer hurt even more.

He sighed deeply. "Fine. Forget it. I came here to check on you two, not to have my heart attacked."

Only then did Damian look more carefully at them.

The aura around Violetta and Vulkara had become much stronger than before.
