Damian sighed and decided that this was a different world, so no matter what the hell happened, he needed to kill when necessary.

So instead of mocking him, Kellan sighed and placed a hand on his shoulder.

Kellan smiled and helped Damian stand up. "Yes, Senior. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it sooner or later."

Kellan then turned toward his teammates. "Please help calm Senior Damian down while I take the Black Spirit Root."

The other teammates nodded and directly went to help Damian calm himself while Kellan headed toward the cliff.

Fortunately, Kellan was also a strong cultivator, so he easily climbed the cliff and took the Black Spirit Root.

After taking it, he returned and handed it to Damian. "Senior, this is the Black Spirit Root that you wanted."

Damian looked at it and smiled. "Thank you, Junior Kellan. Let me offer you something in return."

Kellan smiled back. "Sure thing, Senior. We also wanted to return, so let’s head back together."

Damian nodded, and soon all of them returned to the city together.

Damian and the others finally returned to the city after spending several days inside the Black Mist Forest.

Although his trip into the forest wasn’t too dangerous overall, the experience still made him realize just how brutally unpredictable this world truly was.

Kellan and the others cupped their fists respectfully toward Damian. "Senior Damian, thank you again for protecting us these past few days."

Damian cupped his fists back and smiled. "You all helped me too, so thank you as well."

Then he looked toward Kellan. "Especially for the Black Spirit Root."

Kellan laughed awkwardly. "Don’t worry too much about it, Senior. Without you, we’d probably already be dead as well."

All of them laughed a little before finally separating.

Damian quickly went back to his residence, and at the same time, a week had already passed, which meant it was finally time for gifting again.

He directly went to Violetta’s room and knocked on her door. "May I come in?"

Soon, Violetta’s voice came from inside the room. "Master? Yes, you may come in."

Damian pushed the door open and entered, and just like before, Violetta was still sitting in the same posture.
