Vulkara soon arrived at the Blacksmith Hall after asking a few disciples for directions.

The Blacksmith Hall was located near the lower side of one of the sect’s mountain peaks. Even before she fully arrived, she could already hear the heavy sound of hammers striking metal.

Waves of heat rolled out from the large hall, and thick smoke rose from several furnace towers behind the building.

Vulkara nodded. "Yes. I came here to learn blacksmithing."

The other disciple also looked at her in surprise.

Vulkara crossed her arms. "Fine."

One of the disciples immediately turned and hurried into the Blacksmith Hall.

The other stayed near the entrance, but his eyes kept drifting toward Vulkara before quickly looking away.

Vulkara noticed it and narrowed her eyes slightly. "Why do you keep looking at me?"

The disciple stiffened. "I-I was not."

Vulkara stared at him.

The disciple’s back immediately became covered in cold sweat, even though the furnace heat was everywhere.

Vulkara snorted. "Relax. I’m not going to eat you."

The disciple laughed awkwardly. "Of course, Junior Sister."

Vulkara looked around the hall entrance while waiting.

Inside, she could see rows of furnaces burning with red-orange flames. Disciples carried metal ingots, sharpened blades, cleaned molds, and hammered glowing weapons on heavy anvils.

CLANG!

CLANG!

BANG!

Every strike shook the air.

The more Vulkara watched, the brighter her eyes became, and the more restless her fingers felt, as if she really wanted to try it herself.

She wanted to hold a hammer, control the flames, and turn raw metal into something useful with her own hands.

But for now, she could only wait for the hall master to officially accept her first.

Not long after, a tall, broad-shouldered old man walked out from the hall.

He had messy gray hair, thick arms, a rough beard, and a body that looked more like a walking furnace than a normal elder.

His dark-gray robe was sleeveless, showing arms covered in old burn marks, hammer scars, and faint traces of flame Qi.

The moment he appeared, the Blacksmith Hall disciples immediately straightened their backs.

"Hall Master!"

"Hall Master Garron!"

The old man waved his hand casually. "Enough, enough. Stop acting stiff."

Then his eyes moved toward Vulkara.

He looked at her from head to toe for a moment before grinning. "So you’re that brat’s disciple, huh?"

Vulkara blinked. "That brat?"

Elder Garron snorted. "Damian, of course. Who else? That shameless little bastard came here before and caused a mess with his mouth."

Vulkara’s eyes lit up slightly. "Then yes. I am his disciple."

For some reason, hearing someone call Damian a shameless little bastard made her feel strangely satisfied.

Elder Garron crossed his arms and looked at her again. "You’re the one who obtained the hammer I made, right?"

Vulkara froze for a moment, then looked surprised. "You made that hammer, Elder?"

Garron’s grin widened proudly. "Of course I did. Who else in this hall could make something with that kind of weight and balance?"

Vulkara’s eyes became brighter.

She immediately remembered the hammer Damian had given her.

That hammer had felt simple at first, but the more she held it, the more she liked it. It was heavy, stable, direct, and perfectly suited to someone like her.

So the person who made it was actually standing right in front of her.

Because of that, Vulkara quickly cupped her fists in respect. "Then thank you, Elder. That hammer is really good."

Garron laughed loudly. "Hahaha! At least you have better taste than your master."
