Eloise grimaced as Damien’s length pressed into her again, but the discomfort was fleeting, a brief sting that faded almost immediately. She was sore, but she had no interest in dwelling on it.

Eloise wrapped her arms around Damien’s neck, keeping their kiss steady as Damien began to move.

His breath was warm against her lips, but Eloise dared not laugh, unwilling to invite whatever punishment Damien might come up with. She was already struggling to hold herself together.

Her nails found his back without any conscious thought, pressing in as his thrusts came harder than before. Damien did as she asked without complaint, his muscular arms keeping her steady and close.

Eloise clung to him, keeping the hard plane of his chest pressed flush against her own. She didn’t want to let go, didn’t want to feel so much as a breath of space between them.

The low, controlled sounds he made each time he settled deep inside her were the most intimate thing she had ever heard.

Eloise broke from the kiss, her head falling to the side, her lips parting as a gasp was heard. His name left her lips in a breathless sound. She turned back to face him, knowing well enough by now that he preferred her eyes on him.

The expression she caught on Damien’s face was unlike anything she had seen from him before. Eloise hoped she would be the only one who ever saw it.

"Damien!" Her voice broke from her in a cry that filled the chamber. She wanted more, and as the dutiful husband he was, he intended to give her everything she asked for.

Eloise moved her hands upward and tugged briefly at Damien’s hair before releasing it.

Damien lowered his head, his tongue tracing warm, slow circles against her soft flesh as he rocked into her.

The sounds that filled the chamber were entirely theirs. The slapping of skin, the creak of the bed beneath them, their breathing, and the calls of each other’s names.

Damien pressed deep into Eloise with each movement, as far as she could take him. She was still tight around him, drawing everything from him, but Damien wasn’t ready to let go just yet. It was too soon. Eloise wasn’t satisfied, and he had no intention of finishing before she was.

Damien eased back slightly and took hold of Eloise’s hands, positioning them to press against her breasts.

A slow, satisfied smile formed on his lips at the sight of her.

There was nothing more beautiful, and it was for his eyes alone. Only he would ever know this side of her.

Damien loosened his hold on her hands. She looked spent already, her hair glued to her forehead, her chest rising and falling quickly, but she would have to hold on just a little longer.

"Tired?" Damien asked deliberately, the word timed with a deep thrust.

Eloise’s body jolted, and she wished desperately that she could wipe the satisfied look from his face.

"N-No," Eloise managed. She was far from tired, though her body felt weightless.

"Is that so?" Damien said, his right hand closing around her thigh as he filled her again, his grip firm.

Eloise felt utterly breathless. She no longer cared that Damien was teasing her. All that mattered was the heat spreading through her, deeper with every thrust.

Her eyes flew open as Damien pressed his palm flat against her belly. Her toes curled into the blankets.

"It’s good you’re not tired."

The low rumble of his voice settled somewhere deep in her chest.

Damien cursed as Eloise’s body clenched around him in response. The worst part was that she had no idea she was doing it.

Damien knew Eloise likely thought she was the only one being toyed with. Eloise was unravelling him entirely, and he loved every moment of it.

Eloise’s cheeks were flushed. Her mind drifted from the position she was in until Damien’s voice pulled her back.

"I love you. You are too lovely," he said, his hand trailing slowly up her abdomen.

Eloise looked up at him. "I love you too," she said, the words arriving without a moment’s hesitation.

Damien leaned forward to kiss her, and Eloise drew him in, her arms wrapping around his neck and holding him there. Their lips moved against each other.

Every moan Eloise made was swallowed by Damien’s mouth. Each time he drove into her, his name broke from her in a soft, sweet cry that asked for more.

Eloise moved with him, rising to meet every thrust. A feeling was building deep in her stomach. She was close again.

Her back arched, and Damien’s fingers pressed into her flesh, holding her in place. Every small sensation fed into the pleasure gathering at the centre of her.

She didn’t want it to end, but the body could only hold on for so long before it gave in entirely.

Eloise reached her peak first, her whole body shuddering with it. Damien followed after four more deep, steady thrusts, his warmth flooding through her again.

Eloise went soft beneath him, and this time, she could admit she was tired. The ache in her back was persistent, but she had no intention of telling Damien.

Damien remained inside her, his hips rolling in slow, unhurried movements as he rode out the last of it, unwilling to separate himself from her just yet.

Damien swept Eloise’s hair back from her face, his fingers careful as he freed the damp strands from her skin.

"Satisfied?" Damien asked, his gaze moving over her expression. He could tell from her expression alone that she was completely and utterly satisfied.

Eloise nodded slowly. "I am," she replied, her voice soft.

Damien withdrew for the second time that night and lay down beside her, his right hand settling on her waist. "Good. I haven’t failed my part as your husband. Rest now, and I will get a cloth and warm water to clean you up."

"Running away already?" Eloise asked, her fingers closing around Damien’s hand to keep him there. "Weren’t you the one who said I would be bent over that table by morning?"

Damien’s eyes widened slightly.

Then he laughed, genuinely amused. "I think we have created a monster. And while all of this delights me entirely, you should rest for a moment first. I will find us some wine and fruit."
