Eloise felt as though Damien’s length inside her made it impossible to breathe. He had knocked the air clean out of her and remained perfectly still, as though nothing was wrong at all.

Eloise grew more comfortable with their position, and while some pain lingered, the discomfort was nothing compared to what it had been at the start.

It was no wonder that ladies were warned to wait for the right man. Eloise couldn’t fathom enduring this for just any man.

"You should move," Eloise said, her voice low, but Damien heard it.

Damien welcomed the permission to move. Eloise was tight around him, and staying still for much longer was becoming almost unbearable.

Damien drew back slowly, leaving only the tip of himself inside her before pressing back in with the same gentle care. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

Eloise’s body shifted back slightly with each slow entrance. He moved so slowly that she felt every inch of him.

Damien’s hair had fallen forward, half-covering his eyes.

Seeing him so dishevelled, so undone by this, sent a warmth through Eloise that had nothing to do with making love.

Damien leaned forward, and without needing any guidance, Eloise drew her legs around his waist to hold him there.

The next thrust reached deeper. Eloise’s back arched sharply, and her mouth fell open, a soundless cry leaving her lips.

The pain softened with every gentle movement, fading until she could no longer find it.

Eloise matched the rhythm Damien used, her body beginning to understand what it wanted without her needing to think about it. When she didn’t dwell on her movements, she did well without needing to be told what to do.

Her lack of experience no longer showed.

She moved with him, rolling her hips to meet each forward press of his body, matching his pace until they moved as one.

Eloise’s hands settled on Damien’s arms, wanting to feel him. Wanting to be as close as possible.

As though Damien felt it, he leaned down and kissed her.

The angle drove him deeper as he leaned into her. Eloise’s body jolted, and his name broke from her lips, filling the quiet bedchamber. The reaction boosted Damien’s ego.

Eloise wrapped her arms around Damien’s neck and pulled him down against her. The solid weight of him pressed her into the bed, and for one breathless moment, it was the most wonderful feeling she had ever known. Then Damien caught himself and pushed back up.

Eloise felt the absence of his weight immediately. She loved being held beneath him so firmly that escape was impossible even if she had wanted it.

Eloise’s nails pressed into Damien’s skin when his next thrust came faster and sharper than anything before it, the sudden change stealing the breath from her.

"I’m sorry," Eloise said, her voice trembling. She moved her hands away.

Damien stilled and drew her hands back, placing them firmly on his shoulder. "Mark it," he said, his voice low, wanting to see what she left there come morning. He fully intended to tease her about it.

"You’re beautiful," Damien said softly, not wanting to let another moment pass without telling her.

Damien lowered his head to kiss her and pressed himself as deep inside her as she could take, his mouth swallowing the moan that rose from her lips.

Damien’s fist closed around a fistful of blanket beside her head, his knuckles pressing white into the fabric.

Eloise was tight. The warmth of her closed around him, drawing him deeper as though her body had already decided what it wanted.

The veins across Damien’s forearms stood in sharp relief as he held his slow, steady pace, making love to Eloise for the first time and committing every second of it to memory.

Eloise’s nails found his back, pressing in just as he had wanted. Her head fell back against the pillow, and Damien moved without hesitation to her throat, his lips trailing heat across her skin, pressing marks into each place he wanted to see them in the morning.

Damien’s right hand travelled slowly down the length of Eloise’s body, learning every curve and line as he created a map in his mind using his palm. His hand settled beneath her thigh, holding her in place as he continued.

Eloise knew she was close. By the look of Damien’s jaw clenching, he was not far behind her.

Eloise came undone for the second time, a slow, deep warmth spreading through her entire body and dissolving her from the inside out. Damien followed shortly after her.

A warmth settled deep in her lower body as Damien’s seed filled her.

Eloise heard Damien utter a quiet curse against her skin. "What is wrong?" she asked, reaching up to touch his face, pushing his hair back so she could see his eyes.

"I forgot," Damien muttered, the realisation settling in.

"Forgot to do what? Not be inside me?" Eloise asked, having long understood how children came to be. "It is a little too late to be worrying about that, and we are married. It is not as though we won’t see each other in the morning."

"I was planning a walk in the morning. I’m not certain you would have seen me," Damien said, the corners of his mouth lifting to a charming smile.

Eloise shook her head slowly. "That is an awful joke."

"It is," Damien admitted, his laughter warm. He withdrew from Eloise, the sheets beneath them bearing the evidence of their first time together. "Does it still hurt?"

"No," Eloise replied quietly. "Can you make love to me again, but this time, not so gently? As good as it felt, I am not a doll made of glass. I won’t break so easily. You were careful the first time. Now stop worrying."

Eloise sat up and cupped Damien’s face before leaning forward to kiss him. She poured every emotion and every ounce of want into it, letting him feel exactly how much she desired this. How much she desired him.

Eloise wasn’t afraid any more, and she didn’t want Damien to hold back for a moment longer.

Damien answered the kiss with the same hunger she had given him, welcoming her honesty about wanting more.

He leaned forward, pressing his weight against her until she fell back against the bed, eager to feel her again. His hand slid beneath her leg and drew it back around his waist, pulling her against him.

At the height of their kiss, and with Eloise so ready to have him again, Damien entered her. This time, intending to give her everything she had asked for.
