~~trring~~
The bells rung repeatedly across the metallic bunker, sending waves of alarm and tension through the minds of the hundreds of humans present in it.
Dave watched as the soldiers and other personnel rushed around, issuing orders to keep the people under control and maintain peace with a calm look on his face.
The others had worried looks on their faces especially when the alarms didn’t stop for even a second after the defensive measures were already deployed, units of soldiers were rushed out of the inner layer to suppress whatever might be the cause and ensure the bunker was safe.
’Why do we keep resisting? They’re no longer normal humans like us but corrupted with a high level of power, creatures that could tear us apart easily and catastrophic disasters not even including the surges. There’s no hope left for Dyteria so why do they keep holding on? It’s been over a month now and they still have yet to give up when there’s no hope for a change, what are they waiting for?’ Dave wondered with bleak eyes, he had watched his mother get killed by one of the corrupted creatures right in front of his eyes and somehow survived, his father was long dead and all his siblings were dead also.
The only person left in their family of seven was him, he felt lonely and desolate, having lost all hope for the future and any changes. He couldn’t see anything better occuring soon and the only thing he had expectations for was his very own exit from the world.
’I’m tired, I’m so tired, I pray whatever comes in through that door just kills everyone here and save us from this trauma.’
{Beep!}
{Beep!!}
{Requesting backup forces!}
"Won’t this stupid thing just shut up?" Dave muttered in a low voice, clutching his stomach which had yet to receive anything for over two days, the food supply in the bunker was very much and he had given his own little portion to the little girl crying beside him. Just like him the girl was all alone, having lost her family she had cried herself to sleep the first day the two met but still.
"Uncle Dave, what’s happening outside?" Bianca said in her tiny voice, clutching Dave’s finger tightly but she still had that smile on her face, even though she was nervous, scared, sad and lonely.
’How is it even possible to smile in such a situation? Maybe she’s just a kid and doesn’t understand whatever is going on.’ Dave thought but he knew the answer deep inside his heart.
"It’s just a little problem, they’ll deal with it soon." Dave said but even he didn’t feel assured of his words, the gunshots and sounds of fighting beyond the bunker’s gates didn’t cease for even a second and the alarm made it even worse, even the soldiers also had panicked looks on their faces the more time passed.
After a few more minutes of gunfire everything suddenly went silent, the security system had automatically locked the gates to the inner zone so they couldn’t figure out what was happening outside, one of the soldiers apparently a high ranking one walked over to the gate then reached out for the opening switch when a loud crackling sound suddenly came from the other side.
Bang!
The door split apart, followed by a surge of current which flowed into the compartment. The soldier was clown meters away while the gate was torn apart, revealing a single humanoid figure walking in with slow but calm and dangerous steps.
"Your hospitality is amazing." Draxus said in a cold voice, his blue hair was tinted with blood and his hands had scorched marks all over, his spine lit up with blue crackles all the way to his eyes while his body had multiple ghastly holes bored deep into it but he was somehow still alive.
"You all should fall onto the ground and surrender or I won’t show mercy, I mean it this time and I won’t take any chances." Draxus said in a cold and chilling voice which received no reaction from the crowd.
"Can’t you hear what I said?!"
{So dumb and corny, and most importantly you’re mostly naked just so you know}
’Jesus, blood of Jesus!’ Draxus screamed internally then lowered his head and....
’Fuck’
"Uncle Dave, what’s that tiny little thing dangling between his legs?" Bianca asked in her tiny voice which "happened" to echo loudly in the bunker.
"Uhm--, just close your eyes." Dave said then covered Bianca’s face with his palm.
Draxus couldn’t believe his ears and felt like digging a pit for himself, the barrage of bullets and attacks he had faced repeatedly tore apart his clothes leaving just tiny patches of rags on his body.
’I just wanted to farm aura a little, why can’t I also do it?’
{Farm aura? More like losing aura, Host Draxus Ktisis aura value -99999999999999999}

"By evening?"
"Yes, tomorrow evening another tide will resurge, we need to evacuate and return to the main camp before then." Isaac, the general who ordered the attack on Draxus said, his eyes darting round the room in fear.
He had given up on resisting after he watched this "monster" dispatch the massive number of troops assigned to fight him, no casualties were recorded because Draxus shocked them barely enough to keep them unconscious.
They had no choice but to listen to Draxus’s requests and accept him in, or host him, or just serve him.
"What happens during the tides?" Draxus asked with eyebrows raised, he was enticed by the so- called tidal rushes that occurred round the planet occasionally.
"Where do you think those living in the city are?" Isaac asked with a slight huff.
"I don’t know, how am I supposed to know?"
"They are all gathered at spots with high concentration of the corruption ever since it was eradicated and mitigated into minor forms, they depend on it to survive and sustain themselves but at times the source of the corruption would go wild, sending waves of energy and pulses into areas within its range then send the corrupted creatures and humans clustered round it on a wild rampage to search around for it and act as it’s eyes."
"If one of them ever discovers our existence here then we’ll be in serious trouble, we’ll be facing thousands of corrupted creatures with supernatural abilities then." Isaac said with a light glance sideways.
"The corrupted usually have no idea they are actually corrupted, they act normally and live with their own thoughts and actions but once the seed in them takes control they’ll lose their mind and become subject to the corruptions influence, which is the main reason I ordered the attack, you’re also one of them."
