- Chapter 1: Victor Walker
Victor suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood and forcefully stopped the circulation of mana inside his body. A sharp pain spread through his chest while his breathing became unstable for several seconds. His expression immediately turned serious as he wiped the blood from the corner of his lips and slowly exhaled.
"Looks like space and possibly time related elements require a much stronger physique," he muttered while narrowing his eyes.
The discovery was not pleasant. Victor had already used every body strengthening spell currently available to him. If he wanted to continue increasing his physical strength, then he would have to rely on actual physical training once again.
The mere thought irritated him.
Victor sat down quietly on the cold floor and began thinking carefully. The room remained completely silent except for his slow breathing. Several minutes passed without movement while countless thoughts circulated through his mind.
Then suddenly, his eyes widened.
"Can I create a spell with even greater efficiency?"
The idea struck him like lightning.
Victor immediately closed his eyes and started reviewing every body strengthening spell he had learned so far. Each elemental spell followed a unique circulation pathway throughout the body. Fire mana moved violently through explosive channels. Water mana traveled through softer and more flexible pathways. Lightning mana was sharp and destructive while earth mana was dense and stable.
The all elemental version used some points from each pathways.
Victor carefully recalled every detail from his previous attempts. He analyzed the direction of mana flow, the pressure exerted on his veins, the response of his muscles, and the endurance limits of his organs. With his Unparalleled Comprehension talent, identifying hidden patterns became far easier than it should have been.
Soon, he discovered something astonishing.
The eight elemental circulation pathways could theoretically be linked into one complete and continuous cycle.
Victor’s breathing slowly became heavier.
"What would happen if all eight pathways circulated together?" he whispered softly.
Excitement gradually appeared within his eyes.
He immediately began performing calculations inside his mind. Mana flow rates, circulation pressure, elemental balance, bodily endurance, energy consumption, and synchronization speed all required perfect control. Even a small mistake could destroy his body from the inside.
After several minutes of intense analysis, Victor finally reached a conclusion.
The result was terrifying.
The mana would continuously circulate through every elemental pathway one after another in a complete cycle.
Fire.
Water.
Wind.
Earth.
Metal.
Lightning.
Light.
Darkness.
Every circulation would contain all eight elemental systems fused together into one process. The spell would place unimaginable strain on the body, but the strengthening effect would also rise to an absurd level.
Victor knew the pain would be horrific.
Still, his eyes remained calm.
"For power, this much is acceptable," he said quietly.
Without wasting another second, Victor sat cross legged and activated the experimental spell.
Boom!
The instant the spell activated, eight different colors of elemental mana erupted beneath his skin simultaneously. Violent waves of energy spread across his entire body like uncontrollable storms.
"Ahhhh!"
A painful groan escaped his mouth despite his attempts to endure it silently.
The pain was beyond anything he had experienced before.
It felt as though countless burning blades were tearing apart his muscles, veins, and bones from the inside. Every pathway inside his body felt ready to rupture at any moment. His organs trembled under the pressure while his skin turned slightly red from the violent mana fluctuations.
The mana moved extremely slowly.
Victor could clearly feel the terrifying amount of energy being consumed every second. One complete cycle of this spell required the equivalent of eight normal cycles combined together. However, the real horror was not the mana consumption.
The process itself was at least ten times slower and infinitely more painful.
Victor clenched his teeth so hard that blood slowly dripped from his lips. Veins bulged violently across his neck and arms while sweat soaked his entire body. His muscles trembled continuously under the immense strain.
For the first time in a long while, Victor genuinely felt close to death.
The cycles that previously required only ten minutes now felt endless. Every second resembled torture. His vision blurred repeatedly while sharp pain surged through every inch of his body.
Still, he refused to stop.
Minutes slowly turned into hours.
Finally, after one hundred exhausting minutes, the first complete cycle ended.
Victor immediately collapsed heavily onto the floor.
His breathing became ragged while his entire body trembled uncontrollably from pain and exhaustion. Even moving a finger felt difficult. His consciousness faded in and out several times before he finally forced himself to reach toward his spatial ring.
Barely conscious, Victor grabbed a healing potion and drank it immediately.
Warm healing energy spread throughout his body and slowly repaired the damage caused by the spell. The pain lessened slightly, though it still remained severe.
Victor lay on the floor silently for several minutes before finally checking his status window.
[Physique: 47]
His eyes widened slightly.
One complete cycle had increased his physique by an entire point.
That result was absurd.
Before Victor could fully process the improvement, another notification suddenly appeared before him.
[Ding! Congratulations.]
[You have successfully created a new spell.]
[Victor Walker’s Body Strengthening Spell.]
[Function: Each completed cycle permanently grants one Physique point until reaching the pinnacle of the current realm.]
[The spell possesses no rank.]
[It can be used in every realm.]
Victor stared at the notification quietly for several seconds.
Then he tried to laugh.
Unfortunately, the moment he moved slightly, sharp pain spread through his entire body again.
"Ouch! Ouch!" he cried while immediately stopping himself.
His expression twisted painfully.
"Let’s rest first. The healing potion still needs time to fully reduce the pain," he thought helplessly.
Victor slowly lay flat on the ground like a lifeless log. He did not even have enough strength to properly sit up anymore.
Two hours later, he finally regained enough mobility to stand.
Victor stretched his body carefully while observing the lingering soreness within his muscles. Although the pain had mostly disappeared, his body still felt exhausted.
"Looks like my body is not fully accustomed to this amount of mana usage yet," he thought thoughtfully. "There is a limit for everything for a reason. The human body was never designed to use mana continuously for such long periods and with such intensity."
However, Victor’s expression slowly relaxed.
"Still, the human body can adapt to almost anything if given enough time."
A faint smile appeared on his face.
His next objective became obvious.
He needed practical combat experience while continuously using all elemental mana types. The fastest way to achieve that was by clearing dungeons repeatedly.
Victor left the room and walked downstairs calmly. The attendants waiting there immediately bowed respectfully the moment they saw him.
"Young master, should we begin the business operations?" one of them asked carefully.
"Yes," Victor replied calmly. "You may begin immediately. Rudi will act as the head of the business from now on. All reports should go directly to him."
The attendants bowed once again.
After finishing his instructions, Victor took out the advanced motorcycle gifted to him by the Morningstars. The vehicle possessed several advanced functions. It could operate in autopilot mode, fly through the air, and even travel across water surfaces.
Victor immediately headed toward the dungeon currently accessible to him.
His primary goal was no longer simple hunting.
He wanted to practice every elemental spell he possessed. He intended to improve their efficiency, combine different elements together, and create stronger variations through real combat.
Soon, Victor arrived before a large green portal.
The dungeon was known as the Horned Wolf Dungeon.
Two guards stood near the entrance while monitoring the surroundings. One of them glanced toward Victor and spoke impatiently without properly looking at him.
"Hey, this dungeon is temporarily restricted for the next two hours. Go somewhere else."
Victor calmly handed over his hunter card.
"I believe I am the person you are waiting for," he said.
The guards initially looked annoyed, assuming he was making a joke. However, the moment they saw his face clearly, their expressions immediately froze.
Both men instantly stood straight and saluted.
"Sorry, sir. I thought you were someone else," one guard said nervously.
"No problem," Victor replied calmly. "Open the path."
The guards quickly stepped aside.
Victor entered the dungeon without hesitation.
The moment he crossed through the portal, the environment changed completely. Dense forests stretched endlessly around him while low growls echoed between the trees.
Soon, several horned wolves appeared within his sight.
Victor smiled quietly.
