"Look, it’s a deathmatch!"

Crowds flocked as Damon and Jack get on the stage.

"Look, Elder Alder is overseeing the deathmatch!"

"It’s Jack Frostborn versus Damon Arcknight!"

Excitement boiled up as everyone knew them as yesterday’s top recruits. The rumors of Damon taking the golden token over the formidable Jack drew them in.

"Are the two of you ready?" Elder Alder asked the two on the stage.

"Ready!" Jack tightly held the sword in his grasp and his breathing changed.

Damon looks at the sword and play around with the sword in his hands as it was a weapon given to him just for this fight since he only had his wooden sword.

"Before we start, there something I’d like to tell you something... Next time, don’t think you’re above everyone just because you are noble. There will always be someone stronger that you, you pathetic man," he said, mocking Jack.

"I will fucking kill you, Damon!" Jack immediately charged at Damon like a madman with red eyes. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

He was too full of anger that made him blind. Damon just smiled looking at Jack action and he lifted his sword in his hands above his head.

Feeling something changes Elder Alder’s eyes snapped open and his gaze full of shock and disbelief.

"What’s that glow around Damon’s sword?"

"I don’t know I have never seen anything like that before..."

As Disciples watched Damon Action with shock. Damon’s sword already emanating an aura of overbearing and tyrannical pressure that twisting the space around the sword.

"Impossible! That looks like Sword Intent!" Elder Alder recognized the aura surrounding the sword.

However, his knowledge only further confused him, even shocking him to the core.

Sword Intent represents complete mastery, emerging only when a user fully comprehends their blade. Such skilled practitioners are renowned and respected as Sword masters.

"How could it possibly be Sword Intent?! He’s just 18 years old! Not even experts at the Heavenly Spirit Realm would be able to learn Sword Intent!"

Disbelieving a youth could use Sword Intent, Elder Alder desperately convinced himself that Damon’s display was merely a deceptive, cheap trick.

Damon casually swung his sword, and a tyrannical pressure swept the arena and sending chills down the spine of everyone there — Elder Alder included.

"Wait!" Elder Alder quickly called out, but it was too late.

As the tip of Damon’s sword touched the ground, and a beautiful arc of light appeared, cleanly cutting Jack in half from top to bottom.

Shocked sound can be heard around the arena as Jack organs fell to the ground, and the Blood splattered all over the arena that even covered Damon.

Everybody watches at the horrifying scene with wide open eyes and mouth open wide almost dropped their jaws. They were looking it as if they were watching a scene from hell.

Nobody presents even Elder Alder included has seen such a brutal strike happen on the arena before.

Damon approached Elder Alder, who stood there with a dazed face, and returned the bloody steel sword to him before calmly walking off the stage.

After the deathmatch between Damon and Jack that ended immediately after it started, Damon’s name quickly became the center of attention.

Those who watch Damon’s match began spread the word about the event like wildfire.

They portrayed Damon as though he were a devil from hell who could kill without batting an eye.

They also mentioned the brutal scene where Jack split into two pieces causing many who heard it to nearly vomit from disgust and shock.

However, what scared these disciples the most was not Damon’s cruelty, but his power; the rumor said he could use sword intent, which allowed him to kill jack in an instant.

Very quickly, the name Damon became something to be feared by the Outer disciples.

Meanwhile, Damon heads back to his villa, ignoring the murmur of the outer disciples as he passes by them.

The whispers followed him like flies.

Outer disciples scattered from his path, their eyes wide and fearful as they pressed themselves against the sect buildings.

Damon could feel their stares on his back. As his robes were still stained with dry blood of Jack. Without realizing that he had already arrived at his villa.

Inside, Ariel was going back and forth in the main room with her hands clenched together. She spun around as he entered the villa and her eyes wide open shocked by the blood on his robes.

"Damon! Are you okay? I heard... they said you..." she rushed forward with her eyes scanning his body.

"He’s already dead, Ariel. You don’t have to worry about it anymore." Damon smiled at her to reassure her.

Then he walked to the bathroom and started to take off his robe.

Ariel followed, her worry shifting into something darker. "His family... his sister... the is elder here."

Damon tossed the bloody robe aside. "Let them come, but I think you don’t have to worry about her sister."

"Huh? Why?" Ariel tilted her head, hearing what Damon said.

"I heard that her sister came to the men’s dorm to punish Jack. When I saw him, he had a scar on his face and wore an eyepatch." While he said that he started to stirp Ariel naked.

He stepped into the tub, the hot water already waiting. Ariel follows him into the tub and watches him.

The lingering terror that had gripped Ariel’s features vanished, replaced by an intoxicating, fierce heat.

Her gaze, once clouded by the frantic shadows of anxiety, now burned with a newfound, fervent pride as she stared at the man who commanded his own destiny with such terrifying ease.

"You have no fear, do you?" she whispered, her voice trembling with an illicit mixture of awe and building anticipation.

"My dear Ariel," he murmured, "If it means to protect my loved one, then I don’t know the meaning of fear. I only see a prey waiting to be killed."
