Xie Yanchuan opened his mouth, his voice somewhat raspy, “It’s four o’clock.”

“Four o’clock?” Xu Jinzhi slightly frowned.

Regardless of whether it was morning or afternoon, four o’clock was a strange time. Xu Jinzhi felt bewildered, unsure of the situation.

Xie Yanchuan froze, already uncertain, and now even more so, only managing to stutter, “Wh-what’s wrong?”

“Nothing, I just wanted to hug you,” Xu Jinzhi said softly.

Xie Yanchuan fell silent, letting Xu Jinzhi hold him, and it wasn’t long before Xu Jinzhi released him on her own.

“I’m hungry,” Xu Jinzhi said, looking at Xie Yanchuan.

Xie Yanchuan calmly replied, “I’ll change my clothes and then go out to prepare dinner.”

Xu Jinzhi nodded repeatedly.

Soon, the sound of chopping vegetables echoed from the kitchen, and Xu Jinzhi was still there, holding a bowl of cut fruit, eating a piece herself and stuffing another into Xie Yanchuan’s mouth.

At first, Xie Yanchuan refused, but Xu Jinzhi insisted, and Xie Yanchuan compromised without any willpower, then they started eating one piece after another.
