Quash sat in the bleacher and looked at the badge before putting it back on. He had the Bazooka resting on his right shoulder. The Dwarf threw 3 more challenges and Quash gained 150 ammos. His matches were postponed within that time frame but he was back on the track now.
With few more wins, he could probably get promoted to 50th Battle Hall. But before that, he needed to eat something because he was hungry.
The bleachers around him were quite empty because many has left to eat. Matches in the Arena were also not as intense. Only few dozens were going on. The Dwarf had flees to somewhere else. Probably fearing that he would challenge him again for more ammo.
That Dwarf was quite stingy. But not that it mattered to him.
Quash has yet to use the Bazooka. Mostly because the Dwarf wasn’t worth it. And he wanted to use it on the actual Ranking Battle.
Quash was examining the Bazook closely. It was black in colour and mad glowing lines he had no idea about.
Dwarves were excellent crafter. No other race matched them when it came to making something. The Dwarven Arts of Transformation is not something anyone can copy. But humans did by distributing the work load. Dwarves Arts are fusion of blacksmithing, MagiCraft and Formation Arts... without the extra steps. A Dwarf can do all that in a way other races simply cannot copy.
But regardless, the Bazooka looked beautiful. And he stored it inside his Spatial Ring. The people around him went to eat as well. They would have liked to invite him to eat with them but Quash refused.
Why? He didn’t feel like it. Simple as that.
Quash got up and walked out of the arena. He notified the receptionist to temporarily take his name off of the Active List.
After that, he exited the Battle Halls. The clamour of the outside returned. But the intensity was much lower. Most went to eat. The streets were practically empty. Just sounds of murmuring filled the air.
Quash didn’t wait and went to the Inn he was staying in. He went inside his room and freshened up. Then he went down to the restaurant area to eat. He didn’t feel any particular rush like morning anymore. Most likely he was used to it. His heart was calm. He thought about the things he saw this whole morning and how he could utilise them.
As he was deep in contemplation, he was done eating. And after resting a bit, he went to the Battle Hall again. He registered himself on the Active List through the receptionist and went to the arena.
There were still not many people in bleachers but many has returned. Looks like they had the same thought as him. The matches in the Arena were on full motion once again. All 100 stages were being used. And the screen displayed Quash’s match up as well.
He mentally prepared himself. He took out the Bazooka and rested it over his shoulder because not doing so felt like crime to the Bazooka and himself. Unlike the morning where he didn’t have anything to display and looked like a show off, he had a weapon now.
Quash loaded the Bazooka as he saw his match near. He didn’t know how fast the Bazooka was but it took a while to prepare. He did a simple math in his head. After Teleportation, he and the opponent will always face each other standing.
And there is around a 1.25 seconds gap before the ting sound goes off. And depending on the Abstract Stats of the other person, their recovery time from the Teleportation may be 1 or 2 seconds.
So if he could time the attack moment he appears in the Arena, that could certainly increase the chances of hit. Because in this world, dogging a Bazooka off earth speed is child’s play.
Quash adjusted the Bazooka on his shoulder and aimed right ahead of him. He did not know how his opponent was or what their height was, but just to be safe, he aimed at Dwarven height.
So that even if the opponent was not a Dwarf, it would hit their leg and it will also take them longer to realise something was shot at them.
As Quash was thinking, his turn came. His badge glowed and light enveloped him and teleported him away. The moment he felt stability, he fired. The shock wasn’t that great since Quash was able to tank it all.
The Bazooka tore through the air and crossed the 100 meter distance in seconds. Making Quash’s heart jump, fearing elimination.
The opponent was another mage. And before the poor dude could react-
Ting!
*BOOOM!~~*
[Winner! Quash Ogmore!]
-He was blown into peices. The shock wave was so strong that Quash felt the blow physically. His ears ringing slightly. His eyes wide as he stared at the devastation. Black smoke rising. Churned peices of flesh falling like smoke bomb before disappearing.
"Holy shit..."
Light enveloped Quash and he disappeared from the stage. Another pair appeared in their place and the match started once again.
Quash reappeared in the bleachers. Still a but stunned from the performance of the weapon. His heart racing from the thrill of causing destruction.
He put down the Bazooka and rested it against his shoulder. He leaned forward and rested his elbows on his thighs, he stapled his fingers over his mouth.
"Haha, huhhuhu uh-huhuhuh~."
Quash giggled uncontrollably. His shoulders was shaking, un able to contain himself. An evil grin was plastered on his face. This performance was revolutionary to him. All sorts of ways to use this weapon came to his mind. Not just in the Ranking Battle, but for monster hunting as well.
"Yo. What kind of evil curse are you practicing now bro?"
"Huwha?"
As Quash was decimating monsters in his imagination, he was interrupted by a familiar voice.
He looked over to find the legend seated beside him with a smile.
