I Reincarnated as The Protagonist's Best Friend

Just as Quash was about to fall asleep, he suddenly wanted to test if his talent in Knight Path has increased or not. Or to be more precise, he wanted to test what would happen if one circulated Aura at the speed of Mach 20+.

So he thought of trying it. He didn’t bother to sink his consciousness as that was irrelevant to him now. After today’s training, he could simultaneously to daily life stuff while also keeping an eye inside his Spiritual Body. In other words, see both the inside and outside world at the same time.

That was a given outcome so Quash didn’t think much of it. He was half asleep, his brain almost on the verge of shutting down.

But with that sliver of consciousness, he extended his senses outside to look for Natural Energy in the air. Extending ones senses outside isn’t as mythical as the novels depicted them to be. It is just like when someone closes their eyes but they could still fell their body. Everything becomes black.

At first he couldn’t feel anything but he earned to feel a little cold, refreshing presence near him. A mental image of his surroundings was involuntarily created by his brain. He believed this is what the martial arts novels called Spiritual Senses and Divine sense.

Quash could tell faint outlines of his bed, scrambled bed sheets, a bit of the floor and tiny spark of white spark that was somehow emitting blue light.

His senses weren’t that developed. But in has certainly increased. Before he got his memories back, Quash could barely extend his sense an inch away from his skin. And even after his absurd increase in Abstract Stats, it barely went beyond 1 meter in diameter.

This was the testimonial of his trash talent.

But regardless of his talent, he used his Will power to attract the sparks in the air. They were extremely scarce. Proof of the thin amount of Natural Energy on the area, despite this being a place where Natural Energy should’ve been extremely dense.

Quash again paid no mind to a mystery that he has no way of solving nor does he want to solve it. He is 100% sure that there was something at the bottom of the the Grundleas lake that was responsible for his weird Natural phenomenon of Grundleas city.

But it was none of his business. What was his business wad that, the spark of Natural Energy came quiet fast. He just needed to fixate his intent on a spark, and constantly call for it.

Quash before couldn’t even do that and had to wait for the Natural Energy to touch his skin and he would then absorb it.

Quash watched the spark of Natural Energy touch his skin and it slowly slipped inside. It felt cool, like cold prickle when the hand experiences hindrance in blood floe. That kind of prickling.

The Natural Energy had entered through his forearm. Normally, according to the Aura Cultivation Method, he needed to circulate the injected Natural Energy through his body and complete a Grand Circle to turn it into Aura infused with his life Energy and store it inside his Aura Core.

But he was already circulating his own Aura and didn’t know what will happen nor didn’t he care.

By now, he was sure that these Energy Arctypes are strictly Spiritual and cannot harm the physical body unless some special conditions are met. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

So he Willed the spark of Natural Energy to mix in with the stream of Aura circulating through his blood vessels. And the moment it penetrated the walls of the vessel and entered the stream-

"HOWWWWOOLLLOWOHUHUHU~~~!!"

-Quash immediately jumped on his bed with a howl and started to scratch himself all over. All his drowsiness gone. He was wide awake, feeling like something just tickled his cardiovascular system from within.

"Fuck! Fuuuaaaccckkhh!!!"

The feeling was for an extremely fleeting moment but it was strong. Quash was so baffled and shocked because he got jolted awake from the verge of sleep that he could articulate not else other than to just curse.

He stopped because the feeling was gone. He lay in his bed while staring at the ceiling and felt extremely wronged which made him very angry and frustrated for no apparent reason. He wanted to beat someone up right now.

He was grinding his teeth against each other, eyes bloodshot. He didn’t know who he was angry at and why he was angry at all in the first place.

He turned over, buried his face in the pillow and screamed at top of his lungs. He felt a bit better after that. But he still felt bitter and the phantom tickles some times shaking him to the core.

He got up to get some water. If one couldn’t calm their anger on their own, water is the way. He got down while scratching his back.

He was also looking inside himself. At the spark he had just absorbed. It looked like it hadn’t moved from where it first appeared. But he knew that it was running at 7000 meter per second and was in a saturated state. It was different from normal Aura.

Normal Aura was this red with light red outline, giving off delinquent vibes even in saturated state. But this Aura was white, pure, and giving off calm, competent vibe. Like an obedient student.

’Pure Aura?’

Quash recognised the Aura Type rather quickly because he had read about an Aura type that gave off the same vibe. Its called Pure Aura. An Aura type that was most versatile and purest among all the Aura Types. The protagonist of Blair Ascension, Alan was born with such Aura. The reason being his extreme talent for Knight Path and his body naturally containing no impurity.

Because normal human body has many waste and impurities, the Aura is red in colour. And a bit violent in nature. Even when the Aura is a bit pure when little, it get slowly contaminated and turns fully red.

Quash drank the water and his anger had calmed down even before he drank it because he saw an interesting prospect inside his body.

Pure Aura was very rare in this world for various reasons. And people hadn’t found a more affordable way to refine Aura into Pure Aura without the risk of permanent damage.

But seeing that he could produce Pure Aura with normal circulation, he would in no fuckign way try it again.

He didn’t wanted to be violated from the inside after all.

Besides, Aura wasn’t the main focus right now. It can wait until he got his body under full control. So, for now, he went to bed and tried to sleep. When he couldn’t, he turned on some ASMR to aid and fell asleep little while later.
