The small wooded area was covered in cat fur.

Using overwhelming numbers and what little brainpower he possessed, Fluffball successfully conquered the invading stray cats and expanded his growing influence.

Several crows flew in from outside the apartment complex and landed nearby, cawing noisily.

"Caw caw caw!"

"Got it."

Fluffball waved his paw with impressive authority.

"Keep expanding our surveillance network. I want all of New Kirk under my watch!"

"Caw caw!"

The crows nodded before taking off again.

As a lifeform far more intelligent than humans, Fluffball had already mastered human language and writing shortly after arriving on Earth.

Communicating with animals was even easier.

After all, he technically counted as one himself.

On the surface, he looked like he was just messing around with cats every day.

But during Caelum’s time inside the game world, Fluffball had quietly become the undisputed ruler of the apartment complex.

He now commanded over a hundred followers, including house cats, rats, crows, and anything else willing to obey.

Using them as scouts, he had successfully built his own intelligence network.

Nothing happening nearby escaped his notice.

Originally, Fluffball had planned to run away while Caelum was trapped in the game world.

Unfortunately, Caelum had already prepared for that.

An invisible spatial barrier surrounded the apartment complex.

Anyone and any animal could freely enter or leave...

except Fluffball.

That was why he had been unable to escape.

The moment he discovered the barrier, he had nearly exploded from frustration.

Still, looking at the growing force under his command filled him with pride.

"Hmph. Even if I can’t leave the complex, I’ll still conquer Earth sooner or later!"

Inside the apartment.

Caelum shook his head helplessly.

He let the little idiot keep playing around.

Someone knocked on the door outside.

"Anyone home?"

Caelum opened the door and found a silver haired girl standing there.

He looked slightly confused.

"Can I help you?"

The girl took out an ID badge.

"DMB. I’d like to ask whether you were near the impact zone during the unidentified disaster incident in District F a while back."

A living S Class disaster had vanished without a trace.

Ordinary civilians did not understand disaster rankings, so they were not overly concerned.

But the New Kirk DMB had been deeply unsettled ever since.

The entire bureau was still conducting nonstop investigations alongside headquarters.

The silver haired girl belonged to the New Kirk branch.

She had been tracking the case this entire time.

Using scent traces left at the scene, she had followed every lead one by one until she finally arrived at Caelum’s apartment.

Caelum nodded honestly.

"I was house hunting in District F that day. Just happened to pass by."

"Did you happen to see any suspicious creatures at the time?"

"No."

"Please think carefully."

"I really didn’t see anything."

"I apologize for the disturbance."

As she turned to leave, a cat walked past her carrying a round little hamster on its back.

She glanced at it curiously for a second.

But noticed nothing unusual.

Fluffball obediently played the role of an ordinary hamster.

Sure, he sometimes acted stupid...

but he was not actually stupid.

There was no way he would expose himself willingly.

If people discovered he was a disaster creature, he would be hunted down immediately.

Having just finished a major battle, Fluffball’s stomach growled loudly.

The moment he got home, he started shouting.

"Human! I’m starving! Is there anything left to eat?!"

Caelum opened the refrigerator.

It was completely empty.

He picked up his keys.

"I’m going shopping. How about spicy hotpot tonight?"

Fluffball’s eyes instantly lit up.

"I want steak! Lamb! Chicken strips! And tripe too!"

"Actually, just come with me."

As he spoke, Caelum grabbed Fluffball and stuffed him into his pocket.

Fluffball looked completely shocked.

His tiny paws clung to the edge of the pocket as he poked his head out excitedly.

"I can leave the apartment complex now? You’re not worried I’ll run away?"

"Run away?"

Caelum looked entirely unconcerned.

"Run where? It’s not like you can fly."

"..."

Fluffball went silent.

Because he actually could fly.

His crow mounts were available at any time.

Soon enough, Caelum finished shopping, carrying several bags filled with supplies for the next few days.

While passing through a shopping street, he suddenly stopped...

then slowly walked backward a few steps.

He came to a halt beside a prize wheel lottery booth on the roadside.

Interest appeared in his eyes.

Not because of the lottery itself.

But because of the middle aged man running the booth.

Fluffball whispered quietly,

"What is it?"

"Found one of your relatives."

"Huh?"

Fluffball looked confused.

The booth owner immediately greeted Caelum enthusiastically.

"Handsome guy, wanna give it a try? Grand prize is a Ferrari! Guaranteed rewards every spin too. Worst case, you get a supermarket discount coupon next door. One hundred bucks per spin!"

"Seriously?"

Caelum looked skeptical.

"Absolutely real!"

The owner patted his chest confidently.

Caelum casually handed over a hundred dollars.

"Alright then. One spin."

"Great choice!"

Fluffball grew curious.

He knew Caelum’s real interest wasn’t the lottery itself.

The booth owner was obviously the important part.

Caelum spun the wheel.

As the pointer slowed toward the lowest reward section, the invisible force attempted to steal a portion of his luck.

No matter how hard it tried, Caelum’s luck remained completely unmoved.

Caelum raised an eyebrow.

Now he understood why an S Class invader was secretly running a roadside lottery stand.

This guy was pulling something.

Instantly intrigued, Caelum redirected the invisible fluctuation with a thought, causing it to curve away from himself and steal a portion of Fluffball’s luck instead.

Fluffball scratched his head.

Completely unaware.

If Caelum wanted, he could erase the fluctuation with a single thought.

But there was no rush.

He still wanted to keep playing.

It was just casual fun while shopping anyway.

Why take things so seriously?

Violence was such an uncivilized solution.

The owner pretended to look sympathetic as he handed over a supermarket discount coupon.

"Oof. Looks like your luck isn’t very good today, handsome."

Caelum had no intention of letting the matter slide.

Just because he avoided getting tricked did not mean the scammer was forgiven.

Still, he considered himself a reasonable person.

Unlike in the game world, he was much more restrained in reality.

Caelum handed over another hundred dollars.

The owner was practically grinning from ear to ear.

Caelum was about to show this guy what a miracle looked like.

Nearby pedestrians shook their heads quietly.

How were people still falling for such obvious scam lotteries?

If this young man got addicted, he would probably lose everything.

The wheel slowly came to a stop.

The pointer passed over the lowest reward section.

The surrounding crowd widened their eyes in disbelief.

Meanwhile, the booth owner’s smile slowly vanished.

The wheel stopped completely.

The pointer landed directly on the grand prize.

A five million dollar Ferrari.

The crowd instantly exploded.

"Hurry up and give him the Ferrari!"
