「The next day.」

A buzz of excitement filled the Northwest Military Region. It was a day of rest for all the soldiers. A stage occupied the entire training ground, and the official performances were set to begin at ten in the morning.

Their makeup call was for after lunch.

As music swelled, the stage curtain slowly drew back. The performance tour had officially begun, and every act from the art troupe was spectacular.

As noon approached, it was time for the final performance of the morning.

The little kids stood on stage in child-sized military uniforms. Jiang Ye stood before them, holding a red flag. As the national anthem began to play, the children sang along in their sweet, piping voices.

As the anthem ended, the curtain closed to a round of applause.

Xiang Qin said admiringly, "Teacher Jiang is really something else. I heard she volunteered to transfer from Beijing to teach here in the Northwest. She’s got such incredible vision."

Wen Ci nodded.

She couldn’t deny that Jiang Ye had a broad perspective.
