Just as Logan waited for Bard’s reply, a chill crawled down his spine.

He moved on instinct, activating the coin he had planted the moment he entered the room in preparation for anything going wrong.

The coin by the door shattered.

Logan vanished from hbbbis position and reappeared near the entrance.

Still... the shadow had grazed him.

The fabric of his clothes decayed rapidly before his eyes, crumbling away fast enough to expose the smooth skin beneath.

Logan’s pupils constricted in shock and horror.

At his previous location, the shadow writhed faintly, almost as though surprised he had managed to dodge.

"What are you?"

Logan didn’t hesitate. He reacted instantly, releasing the daggers surrounding Bard.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The blades pierced through multiple parts of Bard’s body, killing him instantly.

Silence swallowed the room.

Only the shadow remained, motionless against the darkness.

"I can tell you’re a living thing. What are you?"

His mind raced through the plot of the novel, searching for any trace of this creature, but the shadow wasn’t part of it in the slightest.

For the first time since arriving in this world, Logan had encountered something completely outside his control, aside from the tortoise.

"Are you the boss he spoke of?" Logan asked again, this time tightening his grip around the SSS-rank sword he had already drawn into his hand.

The shadow lingered silently for several seconds.

Then footsteps echoed through the hallway.

Because of the signal Bard had sent earlier, guards were already rushing toward the office.

Logan’s muscles tensed, prepared for another attack.

But the instant the footsteps neared, the shadow vanished, dispersing completely into the air.

Logan immediately heightened his guard, yet the suffocating sense of danger that had wrapped around him moments ago disappeared just as suddenly.

He frowned, brows knitting together.

"It vanished? Just like that?" Logan muttered, disbelief creeping into his voice.

His gaze shifted toward Bard’s corpse once more before he turned to leave, only to pause mid-step.

The dead man was clutching something tightly in his hand.

Logan crossed the distance and pried the object free.

A fragment of a map.

His eyes narrowed.

"What’s this?" he murmured to no one in particular as he examined it briefly before storing it away.

Moments later, he vanished completely.

A few kilometers away from the building, the coin Logan had tossed out of the car on the way to the governor’s office shattered, and he appeared beside it, completely unharmed.

But his face was pale.

Most of his origin energy had already been drained dry.

The long-range teleportation strained both his mind and origin energy far more than he expected.

Logan bent slightly, taking several deep breaths to steady himself before continuing toward his apartment.

For now, he stored the map fragment inside his system space.

The walk home was short since the coin’s location had already been close to Logan’s apartment in the first place.

Before long, the familiar street came into view.

A quiet sigh escaped his lips.

Nothing had gone wrong today.

That alone eased some of the tension pressing against his chest.

After making sure no one had followed him, Logan stepped into the apartment building and headed for his door.

Then his footsteps slowed.

Something felt... wrong.

The moment he stepped inside, his eyes narrowed sharply.

The entire living room glowed beneath the sultry light of dozens of red candles arranged in careful rows. Thick fragrance lingered in the air, rose and jasmine blending into something sweet, heavy, intoxicating. The scent wrapped around his senses like silk, warm enough to make heat stir unexpectedly in his body.

From the darkness of the bedroom, a figure slowly emerged.

Daenerys.

Her beauty was overwhelming.

Long raven-black hair spilled down her back like liquid midnight, framing an exquisitely elegant face. High cheekbones. Full crimson lips. Emerald-green eyes burning with equal parts lust and submission beneath the candlelight.

Her porcelain skin glowed softly beneath the red haze.

She wore a sheer black nightgown so thin it concealed almost nothing. The fabric clung tightly to her voluptuous body, outlining the swell of her heavy breasts, her narrow waist, the curve of her hips, and the full roundness of her ass with shameless clarity. Even through the material, her hardened nipples were clearly visible.

Without breaking eye contact, Daenerys slowly hooked her fingers beneath the straps and peeled the gown down her body.

Logan’s breath caught.
