Extra's Pov: The Goddess Wants Me To Conquer Milfs

The silence shattered as her voice drifted softly through the darkness.

"Logan..."

Before him, the shimmering tear pulsed with pale, otherworldly light, and from within it, she appeared like an illusory dream made real.

Evelyn.

She stood before him in the same dress from that final day, her now long silver hair cascading gently over one shoulder. A faint silvery glow shimmered around her body, tiny motes of light drifting lazily through the air like fragments of another world that refused to fade.

She looked exactly as he remembered.

And that was what broke him.

He remained frozen in place as her name slipped from his mouth in a fractured whisper.

"Evelyn..."

Staring at her with wide, disbelieving eyes, he found it almost impossible to believe she was truly standing there.

Evelyn’s bare foot brushed lightly against the wooden floor as she slowly closed the distance between them.

Before Logan could understand what she was trying to do, she... hugged him.

Logan’s body trembled and stiffened instantly.

She felt cold. Unbearably cold. Yet somehow, that icy touch only sent warmth flooding painfully through his chest.

She wrapped her cold hands tightly around him, holding him as though she never wanted to let go.

Not many words needed to be spoken between them. The silence alone was already overwhelming.

Finally, Logan relaxed, his own arms slowly wrapping around her delicate, mature frame.

The two lovers who had been separated by life and death had finally found themselves in each other’s embrace once more.

Evelyn held Logan warmly for more than a minute before she finally pulled away from him.

Although reluctant, Logan complied, slowly separating from the embrace as well.

He reached out and gently tucked a strand of silver hair behind her ear.

A faint blush dusted Evelyn’s face at Logan’s gesture.

"You look more beautiful," he complimented softly.

Evelyn smiled.

"Come... this place is too..." she trailed off quietly.

She pulled Logan toward the bedroom, the soft glow of the underworld tear drifting after them like a silent moonlight.

Rolling him gently onto the bed, she joined him beneath the covers, placing a warm blanket over his body.

Outside, the moon hung low and lonely, casting its pale, desolate glow across the quiet room.

Evelyn rested her head against his shoulder, quietly absorbing his warmth before finally speaking.

"How have you been?" she asked. Logan could hear the faint edge of worry hidden within her voice.

Even now, she was still worried about him.

Logan paused for a moment.

He didn’t want to burden her with the fact that he had barely three months left to live.

Or the thought that he would either resurrect her... or join her in the underworld himself.

Burying both thoughts deep inside himself, a faint smile appeared on his lips.

"I’ve been alright. I missed you."

Evelyn laughed softly. "Don’t try to dampen the mood. Tell me about what’s happened so far since I left on a small vacation."

The way she worded it made it sound as though she wasn’t dead at all.

Logan let out a quiet laugh as well, her words easing the heaviness between them, even if only slightly.

"Well... I returned to the city after surviving, began training my space origin ability... went to the underground fight arena... entrance test..."

Logan explained everything lightly, his voice calm and gentle as he told Evelyn all that had happened so far.

Evelyn listened with a soft smile, occasionally interjecting as she immersed herself in Logan’s world once more.

It was a shame she hadn’t gotten to witness it herself.

When Logan finally finished, he lingered briefly before asking quietly, "And how was yours? Your vacation?"

Evelyn chuckled lightly, though a faint sadness flickered through her eyes.

"I... don’t think... I have enough time to tell you about it."

Logan’s heart jolted violently.

"Evelyn..."

Turning toward her, he finally noticed that her face had become eerily transparent.

It was as though she might disappear at any moment.

"It was nice seeing that you’re living a good life..." Evelyn’s voice softened as her words slowly faded.

She gently raised a hand toward his face, brushing her cool fingertips against his lips.

Her touch was cold, but all Logan felt was his heart sinking deeper and deeper into despair.

"I’ll have to return back to my... vacation in a bit," Evelyn said lightly. "In the meantime, try not to miss me too much."

Logan’s lips trembled faintly beneath her fingertips.

"I promise to resurrect you..." he said solemnly.

No amount of words could explain how deeply he regretted losing her.

"Shhhh..."

Evelyn gently pressed a finger against his lips before leaning closer toward him.

Just before their lips met, she paused.

"Don’t say things like that..."

Then their lips finally touched in a delicate kiss that carried countless emotions within it.

Regret. Sadness. Anger. Relief. Sorrow. Joy. Restraint.

At this point, Evelyn was little more than a flickering light.

As the night breeze drifted softly through the room, it felt as though she might scatter into the air at any moment.

Using the little time she had left, she wanted to savor the taste of his lips one final time.

She deepened the kiss, pressing herself closer against him as their breaths intertwined. Logan responded almost instinctively, unwilling to let go even for a second.

Their tongues intertwined in a desperate, passionate dance filled with everything neither of them could say aloud.

Then suddenly, Logan felt emptiness.

His eyes snapped open.

Evelyn stared at him with a faint, wry smile.

She was almost completely translucent now.

"Continue living for me, Logan..." she whispered softly as a gentle breeze carried her fading figure away.

Yet even then, she still heard Logan’s desperate voice.

"Wait for me, Evelyn! I promise to bring you back to life, even at the cost of my own!"

...

Silence filled the underworld.

A place of endless darkness. Endless despair. Endless suffering.

Evelyn remained seated motionless as silent tears streamed down her face.

She stayed in the same position for a very, very long time before finally rising to her feet.

The warmth in her eyes disappeared.

In its place returned the immense coldness she had once carried.

Abruptly, she was pulled back fully into the underworld.

Instantly, the black skies crackled with violent purple lightning.

The flashes illuminated the endless wasteland around her, revealing rows upon rows of skeletal silhouettes stretching endlessly into the darkness.

Thousands.

Hundreds of thousands.

But Evelyn didn’t care.

Numbers meant nothing to her.

Especially when it concerned the man she loved.

She didn’t need Logan to resurrect her.

No.

She would carve her own path back into the world of the living.

The lightning in the skies seemed to acknowledge her resolve as the violent crackling intensified even further.

Then, from within the endless legion of skeletons, a gigantic eye the size of a mountain slowly opened.

A thunderous voice boomed across the underworld like the wrath of ancient heavens themselves.

"Human, the living and the dead have nothing in common. To go against this natural order is to incur the wrath of the heavens. Do you dare defy the will of heaven?"

Evelyn’s silver hair drifted softly around her as purple lightning illuminated her cold face.

"Does heaven dare separate me from the man I love?"

The instant those words fell, the entire world descended into chaos.

The terrifying lightning raging across the skies erupted violently, converging together to form an enormous lightning dragon that shook the underworld itself.

No one could stop the Goddess of Lightning.
