Evil dragon has a warm heart

Frost Giant Sheng stood on the snowfield, with a huge crater behind him, created when it transformed into a meteor and struck the ground, successfully completing the task of clipping wings assigned by the Eternal Seven Elders. It should have immediately fled the scene.

But it foolishly stood at the edge of the crater, feeling that something was off, as if its brain had gained something extra.

Yet it couldn’t figure out what that something was.

"Could it be that my brain has grown?" Frost Giant Sheng shook its head. It wasn’t considered smart among the Frost Giants.

The clever Frost Giants had all joined the Vanguard plan, becoming the Vanguard Officers who would be the first to arrive at Dragon Sleep Continent.

So the thought of its brain growing made it quite happy, and it even unconsciously forgot about the need to escape.

Only, it didn’t know that it hadn’t grown a brain; instead, a Dream-Eater Boar had entered its mind.

No.

This Dream-Eater Boar no longer fed on dreams; it now dwelled within dreams, living in the realm of dreams, becoming a "Dream Baku." Formless and insubstantial, no longer bound by a physical body, able to change in the blink of an eye, it could go anywhere there were dreams!

Through the subconscious dreams of Frost Giant Sheng, Dream-Eater Boar Tapir quickly skimmed through all of Frost Giant Sheng’s memories.

It saw the harsh living conditions of Frost Star, where every lifeform was created through the power of frost and snow. Various creatures born of the Frost Snow Power were constantly devouring and growing on the snowfield, only to become the food of the giant trolls.

Frost Giant Sheng was a master hunter, continually preying on various frost snow creatures, and eventually evolved into a Frost Giant.

The most formidable existence among the giant trolls.

Then it was taken away, brought to the hidden Eternal Frost Star beneath the Shattered Sea, and met with the rulers of Frost Star World—the Eternal Seven Elders.

These were seven Frost Titans that, according to legend, only existed thousands of years ago. Because Frost Star suffered a catastrophe thousands of years ago and could no longer evolve new Frost Titans, the Eternal Seven Elders were the few remaining Titans of that era, ever slumbering within the Eternal Frost Star.

Unable to see their true forms, Frost Giant Sheng couldn’t look directly at the Eternal Seven Elders; naturally, its memories were blurry.

It merely muddled through and carried out the task set by the Eternal Seven Elders.

Using the Origin Power of Frost Star, it was sent to Dragon Sleep Continent to clip the wings of a native named Russell Fluorescent Fungus. After the overlap of worlds, Eternal Frost Star had already locked onto Shadowflame Kingdom.

Keeping a constant watch over the surroundings of Shadowflame Kingdom.

Eventually, they formulated this plan and locked onto both Ouroboros and the former Dream-Eater Boar Tapir. Tapir wasn’t important, merely a Phantom Beast; the goal was to use Tapir’s involvement to kill Ouroboros.

"So that’s it!"

At this moment, Dream-Eater Boar Tapir took a deep breath. "It was I who dragged down Ouroboros!"

But then it slightly smiled. "Fortunately, both Ouroboros and I have survived the tribulation and have become stronger."

With that thought.

It called out in its heart, "Lord Ouroboros."

"I am here," Ouroboros responded. "I didn’t expect you, little pig, to also survive."

"It was Lord Ouroboros’s protection that elevated my heart, just as Russell said, it is a strong spiritual power. This spiritual power helped me get through the Life and Death Dragon Tribulation and ascend to a Pseudo-Dragon."

Moments later, Ouroboros replied with a smile, "Now, you should address me as His Highness Ouroboros!"

"Yes, you have reached the end on the path of the human-dragon journey!" Tapir gladly responded.

"This is not the end; though the path ahead is unclear, just like Princess Polly, I firmly believe there are still roads ahead, waiting for us to explore! Tapir, keep pushing yourself. Being a Pseudo-Dragon is just the beginning, and being a Phantom Dragon is not the endpoint."

"I will... This is a heartfelt reply, not mere lip service," Tapir said with a smile.

Then back to the matter at hand, "I am now in the dream of Frost Giant Sheng, and I will interfere with its subconscious. Uroboros, my lord, shall we take on a big heist and leave it here forever as Snow Ice Cream Crown’s nourishment?"

"That’s what I’m thinking too, and, I feel that Russell is on his way, um, Harpies Hape has already arrived."

The Harpies Hape, compared with Polly, Uroboros, Sonbra, and Tepp, did not blend in well.

But it is also a Phantom Dragon, and its strength is unquestionable.

"Let’s start then, I will interfere with Frost Giant Sheng, and you all engage in frontal combat, let’s take on a big heist!" Tepp shouted.

And then began to fiercely disturb the subconscious of Frost Giant Sheng.

Frost Giant Sheng should have escaped in time, but subconsciously it did not want to flee, instead, it took step after step toward the direction of Cloud Dream Oasis, incessantly thinking, "If I can kill Russell Fluorescent Fungus, I can advance to Frost Titan!"

After two steps, it suddenly awoke, "What am I thinking, that Russell Fluorescent Fungus is a merciless slaughterer!" 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

With this thought, it quickly turned and ran back.

But just as it was about to perform an Escape Technique, it couldn’t help but think again, "Fortune favors the bold; if I can kill the wings of Russell Fluorescent Fungus, I can kill Russell Fluorescent Fungus, I want to become a Frost Titan like the Eternal Seven Elders!"

A fierce smile appeared on its face, and it turned back again, walking towards Cloud Dream Oasis.

Then it suffered a brutal assault from the storm, as Hape descended from the sky, transforming into a massive green storm bird, furiously tearing at its body.

"Damn bird!" Frost Giant Sheng raged, conjuring Ice Crystal Weapons, and fought with Hape.

But from behind in the void, a huge earthy brown snake emerged, biting into its waist, crushing the area, and then a body more than a meter thick penetrated through the wound.

"Damn snake!" Frost Giant Sheng trembled.

Uroboros, however, quickly appeared out of another part of the void.

Its body seemed able to appear anywhere, as well as penetrate anything. Even as its tail was still visible outside the void, its head had already emerged from another part. Its body, hidden in the void, infinitely cycled in and out.

Frost Giant Sheng brandished its Ice Crystal Longsword, timing its strike accurately, cleaving the body of Uroboros in two.

But the severed body, as if the wound became the void itself, was unaffected and continued its relentless burrowing.

"Why?" Frost Giant Sheng did not understand.

It felt its condition was extraordinarily bad today; as a Frost Giant Troll capable of fighting dragons, it found itself miserably coping with attacks from both a bird and a serpent.

It had no Snow Giant.

Snow Giants are the mightiest tools condensed on the Dragon Sleep Continent, already partitioned by the Vanguard Officers; its only reliance was on itself.

But today, it was especially unreliable.

"I should run... damn, I can still fight... damn birds, damn snakes, I must run quickly... Why run, why panic, I will ascend to Frost Titan... no no no, there’s something wrong with my brain, my mind is messed up!"

Thoughts struggled, and so did the body.

Soon, all struggles ceased and, under the joint attacks of Hape and Uroboros, its body was riddled with holes, and its corpse decapitated.

"I actually missed it!" Russell rode the Shadowflame Dragon, arriving just in time, "And my companions have joined forces to kill a Frost Giant Troll, a feat of glory only Dragon Knights could achieve!"

The corners of his mouth could not stop lifting.

He looked contentedly at Hape and Uroboros, who had returned to their true forms. Uroboros’s appearance had not changed much, still an earthy brown snake, neither thick nor long, but with even more gorgeous and mysterious patterns.

"My body can extend infinitely in the void!" Uroboros excitedly said in his mind.

"Then you are now the Phantom Dragon - Infinite Ouroboros!" Russell gave a thumbs up, then looked towards the void, "So, where is Tepp?"
