Something inside him darkened at those words. Under normal circumstances, Rowan would have wanted to take his time with her completely, to make sure every moment was about her and nothing else. But time was the one thing they no longer had.

So instead he kissed her again gently while Rosalind melted into him willingly.

Her warmth surrounded him entirely, her softness, her scent, the quiet sounds she made whenever he touched her. His hands slid down her slender waist, leaving heat behind wherever they touched, and Rosalind arched instinctively into him.

Then his palms found her breasts. The softness of them filled his hands perfectly, and Rowan’s expression darkened slightly as his fingers moved over her. He squeezed gently, drawing a muffled moan from her lips before his thumb brushed teasingly over the sensitive peak beneath his hand.

Rosalind trembled beneath him instantly.

"Rowan..." she whispered once he pulled back slightly.

His forehead rested briefly against hers. "Hmm?"

"I don’t want only your fingers." Her voice came out softer now, filled with nervousness and want all at once. "I want you inside me."

His eyes searched hers carefully. "Are you sure you won’t regret this, Rosalind?" he asked quietly.

"I won’t," she answered immediately.

Rowan roughly exhaled, almost like she was destroying the last of his control piece by piece. "What am I supposed to do with you?" he murmured more to himself than to her.
