- Chapter 1: ¹Despair at the Bottom of the Abyss
Ten minutes after Kaelia left the corridor to clean up her mess, the door to Ethan’s VIP room opened without a sound.
Valera stepped inside.
The Executioner Captain now bowed her head deeply. She closed the door tightly behind her. Then... she dropped onto the plush carpet, taking a knee in the absolute submissive gesture of a knight.
"You summoned me, My Master," Valera spoke. Her husky voice trembled, desperately fighting back the surge of terror churning in her chest.
Ethan sat lounging comfortably on the leather sofa. He stared intently at the mature, exotic dark-skinned woman before him.
The taut muscles in Valera’s arms and thighs twitched occasionally. Her feral instincts were still trying to rebel, but the fear of death and the dense pheromones filling the room rendered her joints hopelessly weak.
"Come here, Bloodhound," Ethan commanded softly.
Valera crawled closer. Her muscular body stopped, kneeling right between Ethan’s knees.
"A wild tracking hound that was just picked up must be given a collar before being released back onto the streets," Ethan whispered.
He leaned down. His pale hand pulled aside the collar of Valera’s leather armor on the left side of her neck—the most vital and sensitive spot where the knight’s pulse throbbed wildly.
Valera held her breath. Before her brain could process what was about to happen, Ethan leaned his face in... and bit roughly into the skin of the woman’s left neck.
"A-Aghhh!" Valera jolted violently. Her knuckles turned white as she gripped the armrest of the sofa.
This wasn’t merely physical pain. Accompanied by the bite, a boiling flow of Rank B Sin Mana was forcibly injected into Valera’s aura circuit. An incredibly dense heat scorched her veins, obliterating the last remnants of her masculine defenses.
Upon Valera’s exotic brown skin—right on her left neck—black magical lines began to spread. They etched a black rose tattoo with tightly spiraled petals, surrounded by fine, jagged cracks.
"Ah... uhh... M-My Master..." Valera let out a long, drawn-out groan.
Her brawny, muscular body instantly went boneless. She rested her head against Ethan’s chest, her breathing completely out of control. The sensation of being absolutely conquered by a predator far more savage than herself triggered a peak of ecstasy she had never felt in her entire life.
"Perfect," Ethan murmured, stroking Valera’s neck, which was now officially branded.
However, this subjugation wasn’t just to slip a collar of loyalty around her neck. In Ethan’s crimson eyes, the Asmodeus System screen flickered lethally.
[Valera Power Extraction Process Initiated.]
[Target Power: Golden Beast Aura (Rank A - Capacity scaled to Host’s Rank B Limits).]
[Integration Complete.]
Ethan slowly raised his right hand. He focused his mind, transmuting the Sin Mana flowing through his veins into a pure replica of Valera’s aura.
WHOOSH!
An incredibly wild and savage golden glow erupted from Ethan’s clenched fist. The muscles in his arm tensed, becoming as hard as pure steel.
Yet, a far more shocking effect actually befell Valera.
The exact moment Ethan summoned the Golden Beast Aura, Valera let out a muffled scream. The tattoo on her left neck flared brightly, as if burning her internal organs from the inside out. The knight’s aura circuit was forcibly resonating with Ethan’s!
"A-Ahhh! Hah... W-what is this... M-my body... it feels like it’s being electrocuted..." Valera hugged her own arms. Her body shivered violently.
An unbelievably searing sensation rushed through her entire neural network, paralyzing her joints until she couldn’t even sit up straight. Every time the aura in Ethan’s hand pulsed, the arousal in Valera’s womb tortured her further.
Ethan looked down. He grabbed Valera’s jaw while flashing a demonic smirk.
"Do you like it?" Ethan whispered right against the woman’s lips. "Every time I summon Isolde’s ice, Kaelia’s fire, or this beast aura of yours... the three of you will feel it. It doesn’t matter how far away you are from me, this resonance will remind your bodies... exactly who your true Master is."
Valera’s yellow eyes widened in horror.
What kind of psychological terror was this?! That meant if Ethan was out there fighting a battle, she would have to desperately bite back her own moans... even if she was standing guard right in front of Duke Alaric!
"Y-yes, My Master... I understand... I am absolutely yours..." Valera whispered with the remnants of her sanity, sinking herself into a suffocating, absolute obedience.
The following night. Zenithar Academy’s Main Hall.
The colossal room had been transformed into the most lavish banquet venue of the past decade. A maroon velvet carpet stretched from the main doors all the way to the holy altar on the stage. Crystal chandeliers cast a majestic golden glow across the hall.
All musical instruments abruptly stopped playing. A sacred silence blanketed the hall as hundreds of pairs of eyes fixed upon the altar at the far end of the room.
There, Prince Edward stood with his chest puffed out in pride. He wore the majestic white-and-gold uniform of the crown prince. Ambition and arrogance were prominently displayed on his face, trying desperately to mask his panic over the disappearance of his Light Guard unit.
Beside him, Kaelia von Ashford stood with a face as pale as a corpse.
The Fire Queen looked breathtakingly beautiful draped in a blazing red silk gown, her crimson hair pinned up in an elegant updo. Yet, her golden eyes radiated a despair that was impossible to hide.
Her body trembled subtly. And discreetly, her palm continuously covered her lower abdomen.
In the front row, Duke Alaric watched the ceremony unfold with a face as cold as northern ice. Right behind his chair stood Valera.
Alaric turned his head slightly, giving his executioner a demanding stare. Valera met his gaze, then gave a very specific, faint nod. A secret code of the Rosenberg faction.
The culprit is within Prince Edward’s faction.
That was the meaning behind the forged code Valera had just delivered, exactly as Ethan had scripted the night before.
Alaric’s eyes instantly radiated a restrained killing intent. His hatred for Edward and the royal family had now reached an absolute boiling point.
Meanwhile, Valera, standing perfectly straight, had to bite the inside of her cheek so hard she tasted the metallic tang of blood. Not out of remorse for betraying the Duke, but because the left side of her neck hidden beneath her armor’s collar pulsed continuously with heat, yearning for her Master’s bite.
On the other side of the stage, Sage Cornelius stood calmly beside Isolde von Rosenberg.
"The Ashford girl’s face... is entirely too pale for a joyful bride-to-be," Cornelius murmured softly. His blind eye stared straight at Kaelia.
Isolde swallowed hard. Her heart pounded erratically. "M-perhaps she is just nervous, Sage Cornelius. The Blood Oath is an incredibly demanding ritual."
On the altar, a Palace High Priest garbed in white silk stepped forward. He carried a velvet cushion. Resting atop it were an heirloom silver needle and a holy parchment scroll passed down from the First King.
"This Blood Oath shall bind the soul, body, and mana circuit of His Highness Prince Edward von Valois with Lady Kaelia von Ashford!" the High Priest proclaimed. His voice echoed to every corner of the hall.
"No lie can be hidden before this holy ritual! If either party intends to betray the crown or holds impure intentions... their mana will reject the oath and tear their circuit apart from the inside out!"
That final sentence nearly turned Kaelia’s knees to jelly.
The Lust Brand seal... that seal will violently reject this Blood Oath and detonate right inside my womb! Kaelia’s mind shrieked in horror. Her eyes darted wildly toward the hall’s tightly shut main doors.
Where are you, My Master?! Please... I beg you, save this lowly servant!
"Give me your hand, my future bride," Edward said, flashing an arrogant smile as he offered his hand.
Kaelia stared at the Prince’s hand with a gaze filled with disgust and terror. Yet she had no way out. The entire royal hierarchy was watching her. With a violently trembling hand, she slowly raised her right arm.
The High Priest lifted the heirloom silver needle. Ready to draw Kaelia’s holy blood and drop it onto the parchment.
The needle began its descent.
Three centimeters.
Two centimeters.
Kaelia squeezed her eyes shut in resignation, bracing for the agonizing internal death that would follow in a fraction of a second.
Exactly as the tip of the silver needle was about to pierce Kaelia’s skin...
KABOOOOM!!!
A deafening explosion rocked the entire structural foundation of the Main Hall.
The five-meter-tall giant oak double doors—which had been layered with protective wards—weren’t merely pushed open. The doors were BLOWN TO SMITHEREENS!
Shards of wood the size of a grown man’s thigh were violently hurled into the air. Causing the nobles to shriek hysterically and duck in panic, covering their heads.
A thick cloud of dust billowed aggressively at the entryway. Two royal guard knights were sent flying, slamming against the walls with their armor caved inward.
On the altar, Prince Edward frantically drew his sword. Duke Alaric immediately shot up from his chair. The Duke’s eyes blew wide open as he sensed the residual aura that had just obliterated the doors.
That’s... the Golden Beast Aura?! Alaric’s mind screamed in disbelief. He whipped his head around wildly to stare at Valera, but his subordinate was still standing frozen right behind him. Then who is it?!
From behind the plumes of marble dust and raining wood splinters... a silhouette strolled inside with absolute casualness.
His black dress shoes crunched over the debris without hesitation. The man wore only a pitch-black academy VIP uniform shirt. His hands were lazily tucked inside his pockets.
However, the aura wreathing his body successfully stopped the heartbeat of every single person in the room.
The air surrounding him distorted the light itself. There was a savage golden glow (Golden Beast Aura), a bone-chilling cold (Isolde’s Ice Aura), and a blood-red wave of heat (Kaelia’s Crimson Sin Fire). All of it blended together, smelting perfectly within the shroud of his own absolute dark energy (Sin Mana).
Seeing that figure stride inside, a bizarre anomaly occurred in three different corners of the room simultaneously.
Up on the stage, Kaelia’s knees instantly went weak. Her womb throbbed madly in response to her own crimson fire enveloping the young man’s body.
In the front row, Isolde hastily crossed her legs tightly. Her back suddenly felt like it was burning with the euphoria of pure ice.
Behind Alaric, Valera clutched the left side of her neck with a trembling hand. She bit her lip bloody to gag the moan that nearly erupted as her feral instincts forcibly resonated with her Master.
As the three women fought tooth and nail to maintain their sanity against the sudden ambush of arousal, the brown-haired youth halted his steps right in the dead center of the hall.
His crimson eyes glared straight ahead, piercing right through Prince Edward’s soul.
"Apologies for arriving a bit late, Prince," Ethan Valen spoke.
His voice wasn’t a shout, yet somehow the baritone managed to vibrate through every corner of the room. The true, arrogant smirk of a Demon Lord was flawlessly carved onto his face.
"But... my ears couldn’t help but overhear... some lowly noble is attempting to claim my property with this garbage ceremony?"
