- Chapter 1: ¹Despair at the Bottom of the Abyss
The oxygen in the underground isolation room suddenly felt painfully scarce to Kaelia von Ashford.
Trapped between the freezing iron door and Ethan Valen’s broad chest, the Fire Queen couldn’t move an inch. Her combat instincts were forcibly dulled by the demonic pheromones continuously invading her lungs.
Ethan smirked as he watched Kaelia gasp for air.
He slowly pulled his arm back from the wall, granting the girl just enough space to suck in a breath. Ethan then reached into the pocket of his silver coat.
He pulled out a parchment scroll sealed with the academy’s official wax crest.
"This is the official report from the Vice Principal. It will be sent to the oversight board tomorrow morning," Ethan said calmly, pressing the parchment right against Kaelia’s chest.
Kaelia gasped. With trembling fingers, she snatched the scroll and unrolled it quickly. Her golden eyes scanned the neat rows of ink.
The report detailed, with absolute conviction, that Ethan Valen had experienced a Late Awakening phenomenon within his mana circuit. His use of high-tier ice magic was claimed to be purely the result of a rare resonance with the Ice Rose Ring—an artifact Isolde had lent him as an ’academy experiment.’
It was a flawlessly woven lie. Incredibly logical. Duke Ashford in the capital would swallow it hook, line, and sinker.
"Y-you... you prepared this?" Kaelia whispered, looking up at Ethan with disbelief.
"I knew your father’s hounds would move quickly. Consider this... a down payment for our cooperation, Kaelia," Ethan replied, tucking his hands back into his pockets.
"Give that report to your father. Tell him you successfully intimidated the academy into handing over a copy. Your position within the Ashford family will be secure."
Kaelia clutched the parchment tightly.
An overwhelming wave of relief washed over her chest. She wouldn’t have to face her father’s wrath. However, that relief lasted a mere two seconds before Ethan’s baritone dragged her right back to hell.
"But remember the price, Madam President."
Ethan’s crimson eyes stared straight through her soul. "Tonight. The exact moment the midnight bell tolls. Come to this room alone."
He leaned in, erasing the distance between them.
"Be even one minute late... and I guarantee the next report landing on your father’s desk will be the news of your mana circuit’s total annihilation."
Kaelia swallowed hard. Her face was deathly pale, yet ironically, a bizarre, feverish flush crept up her neck.
She hated this boy! She hated him so much she wanted to burn him alive!
But strangely, her legs felt impossibly weak. An alien desire, completely defying all common sense, fluttered in her stomach as she imagined what would happen tonight.
Unable to fire back a single word, Kaelia spun around. She half-ran out of the massive iron doors, clutching the parchment to her chest like a thief fleeing from the grim reaper.
Ethan stood casually in place, watching Kaelia’s silhouette get swallowed by the dark corridor.
His low chuckle echoed softly through the silent dungeon. His prey had walked completely into the net.
Several hours later, on the top floor of the Main Tower.
Ethan stepped into Isolde’s office. The atmosphere in the room felt entirely different now. Gone was the political tension or the freezing arrogance typical of the Vice Principal.
All that remained was warmth and absolute submission.
"Welcome back, My Master," Isolde greeted him.
The Duchess stood up from her desk. She wore an elegant black velvet gown that covered her from her neck down to her ankles, befitting a high-ranking noble.
However, the moment she stood before Ethan, Isolde gracefully bent one knee to the carpet. She bowed her head in the absolute gesture of submission of a loyal servant.
Ethan gently stroked the top of Isolde’s head, letting his fingers play through her platinum strands.
"Stand up, Isolde. Show me the condition of your magic after last night’s ritual," Ethan commanded.
Isolde rose, her cheeks flushed with a warm tint. She raised her right hand forward.
The air inside the room instantly rippled violently. The temperature plummeted ten degrees in the blink of an eye.
Yet, what bloomed from Isolde’s palm was not the crystalline blue ice rose that had always been the Rosenberg’s symbol of pride.
A chunk of pitch-black ice materialized in the air, radiating an incredibly sinister, dark aura.
The outer layer of the ice was enveloped in a blood-red glow—the absolute corruption of Ethan’s Sin Mana, which had permanently fused with and tainted the purity of the Archmage’s mana circuit.
"Black Ice Magic..." Ethan murmured, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction at the phenomenon.
"Yes, My Master," Isolde whispered. She gazed at the black ice in her hand with sheer adoration.
"My mana is no longer pure. It has been stained by your essence. It feels so much denser, far more destructive... and infinitely more intoxicating. This ice can freeze an enemy’s mana flow with just a minor scratch."
"Absolutely beautiful," Ethan praised.
He held Isolde’s hand, letting the black ice melt into a cold mist that gently swept across their faces. "And absolutely perfect for our show tonight."
Isolde tilted her head, her blue eyes looking at Ethan with eager anticipation. "A show, My Master?"
Ethan walked toward the large stained-glass window, looking out into the distance toward the towering Student Council dormitory.
"At midnight, the Ashford heir will come to the VIP Dungeon. Handing herself over to me," Ethan said calmly.
He turned his head, flashing Isolde a thick, demonic smirk. "I want you to be there, Isolde. Accompany me in welcoming the Fire Queen. Let us crush the Ashford family’s ego... together."
Isolde’s eyes widened for a moment.
For a northern noble, watching the heir of a rival faction be destroyed was a massive victory. But to imagine herself—a Duchess of Rosenberg—standing there, flaunting her submission to Ethan right in front of Kaelia...
The idea sent a thrill of corrupted pleasure down her spine, making her heart pound like crazy.
"With pleasure, My Master," Isolde whispered.
A remarkably dark, alluring smile blossomed on her lips. The black rose tattoo on her back pulsed warmly beneath the velvet gown. "I will make sure... Lady Ashford learns exactly how to kneel properly."
The midnight bell chimed, slicing through the silence of Zenithar Academy.
Deep within the VIP Underground Dungeon, Kaelia’s footsteps echoed softly.
She wore a tight black training outfit that perfectly accentuated her athletic, slender curves. Her red hair was tied up in a high ponytail.
Kaelia’s face was pale. Her palms were slick with cold sweat.
For hours in her dorm, she had waged a war against her own logic. She continuously chanted a suggestion spell in her mind: This is purely to protect Father’s secret. It’s just a private training session. Just a secret spar.
But in the darkest depths of her heart, she knew the truth. Ethan Valen didn’t invite her to a soundproof underground room in the middle of the night just to trade punches.
The pheromones that had poisoned her brain made Kaelia’s body instinctively anticipate something far more terrifying... and incredibly intoxicating.
Her footsteps halted in front of the Absolute Isolation iron door. It was unlocked. Kaelia pushed it open, holding her breath.
"Come in, Kaelia."
Ethan’s baritone voice welcomed her before the door was even fully open.
Kaelia stepped inside. However, the sight before her instantly caused her brain functions to grind to a halt.
The room, which should have been a dusty training ground, had been transformed. In the center of the obsidian arena, a long, blood-red leather sofa had been casually placed.
Ethan Valen sat leaning back on the sofa, his legs crossed casually. No silver coat. He wore only a black dress shirt, the top two buttons deliberately left undone.
But it wasn’t Ethan’s presence that made Kaelia’s heart feel like it had been impaled by a massive icicle.
Standing right beside the sofa was a mature woman she knew all too well.
Neatly pinned platinum hair. Impossibly elegant posture. And an aura of ice magic unrivaled in the entire academy.
"M-Madam Isolde...?" Kaelia gasped. Her voice cracked into pieces. Her knees instantly wobbled.
The red-haired girl took a step back. Extreme panic detonated in her head. The Vice Principal is here?! Did Ethan get caught? Or is this a trap by the board to punish me for investigating a secret facility?!
"M-Madam Vice Principal! This isn’t what it looks like!"
Kaelia hurriedly bowed her head, preparing to weave a thousand lies to save her own skin. "This boy... Ethan Valen... he threatened me! He forced me to come here, I was only—"
Kaelia’s words choked in her throat as she finally dared to look up.
Her eyes blew wide open, nearly tearing at the seams. Her sanity was violently ripped from her ribs.
Over there, Isolde von Rosenberg wasn’t glaring at Kaelia with killing intent.
The most majestic woman in the academy was holding an obscenely expensive bottle of red wine. Then, with movements that were incredibly graceful and far too subservient... she poured it into a crystal glass held by Ethan.
"Please, My Master," Isolde whispered. Her tone was so soft, so full of longing.
After pouring the wine, Isolde didn’t stand up straight.
The ice Archmage slowly lowered her body. She knelt gracefully onto the carpet, resting right beside Ethan’s legs. She leaned her head against the boy’s thigh, then looked at Kaelia with a cold smile dripping with pity and degrading superiority.
Crash!
Kaelia’s mental defenses shattered into absolute nothingness.
"I-impossible..."
Kaelia fell back, landing hard on the obsidian floor. She gasped for air in extreme, ragged bursts. Her hands clutched her head, as if desperately trying to hold her sanity together so it wouldn’t explode into a million pieces.
Kaelia’s genius brain threw an error as it tried to process the visual in front of her.
Madam Isolde. The wife of Duke Rosenberg. An Archmage-tier sorceress who could level an entire iceberg. That woman... is kneeling like a slave?! Calling this F-Caste boy ’My Master’?!
"Madam Isolde... are you... are you under the influence of some mind-control magic?!" Kaelia shrieked hysterically. Tears of sheer panic began to spill from her eyes. "Snap out of it, Madam! You are the head of this academy!"
Hearing the pathetic shriek, Isolde chuckled softly. A melodious laugh that radiated absolute darkness.
"Mind-control magic?"
Isolde caressed Ethan’s knee with her fingertips. She looked at Kaelia as if the girl were a fly struggling in a spider’s web. "Oh, sweet Kaelia. You are still far too young and far too arrogant to understand where true power lies."
Isolde leaned forward. Her eyes, now reflecting the blood-red glow of Sin Mana, glared sharply at Kaelia.
"There is no Vice Principal in this room."
Isolde’s string of words acted as the final nail in the coffin for Kaelia’s sanity.
"There is only... Master Ethan’s loyal servant. I surrendered myself entirely to him. Physically, magically, and spiritually," Isolde hissed with a smile. "And tonight... it’s your turn."
THUMP!
Kaelia’s chest felt like it had been smashed by a sledgehammer. Reality choked her brutally.
If a woman as powerful and authoritative as Isolde von Rosenberg had been tamed and turned into a voiceless servant... then what chance did she have?
Kaelia, the Fire Queen of Ashford who had always believed she sat at the apex of the food chain, finally realized one indisputable fact. She was merely an ant that had just walked willingly into the jaws of a dragon.
The burning arrogance she had nurtured for over a decade was extinguished instantly. Crumbled to ash, replaced by a terrifying, heart-pounding fear and submission.
Ethan placed his wine glass on the small table.
He stood up casually. Simultaneously, his Rank C Lust Domain exploded from his pores without any restraint. A thick, suffocating wave of Sin Mana pheromones swept through the room, slamming directly into Kaelia’s already mentally shattered body.
"Ugh... ahh...!"
Kaelia let out a loud moan. Her body collapsed to the floor on all fours.
The heat from her fire element rebelled forcibly from deep within her stomach. Not to fight, but to respond to the demonic pheromones, turning into a wild, agonizing lust that tortured every nerve in her body. Sweat soaked through her training outfit in a matter of seconds.
Ethan walked slowly toward the girl who was crawling and trembling on the ground.
Tap. Tap. Tap. The sound of his boots echoed off the obsidian walls. Like a death march signaling the end of a Queen.
"Our training session begins now, Kaelia," Ethan whispered.
He crouched down right in front of Kaelia’s face, which was now stained with tears of despair and arousal. Ethan’s cold hand grabbed the girl’s jaw, forcing her head up.
"And Isolde will teach you... exactly how to please your Master."
