### Chapter 95: You Had a Wet Dream
Hazel Hawthorne was supremely confident—a self-assurance no one could shatter. Aiden Xavier knew her well. Responding now would only make Hazel push her luck and grow cockier. He opted for complete silence, letting her think whatever she pleased.
When Aiden ignored her, Hazel lost interest. She had no desire to keep making a fool of herself.
Hazel thought she was used to seeing Aiden in his casual, at-home state and was therefore immune to his looks. But she had clearly overestimated her resistance. The moment Aiden appeared, her jaw dropped.
Aiden walked up to Hazel and snorted, as if mocking her for being so easily impressed.
Hazel was too angry to speak. But who could she blame? She was the one who’d failed to control her expression, letting herself be captivated by him.
Lying in bed, Hazel couldn’t stop thinking about how Aiden had looked just now. ’He’s so handsome I can barely breathe. I’m not some boy-crazy fangirl, but this is Aiden! I don’t want to be like this!’
Especially with Aiden sleeping right next to her. He had clearly used her body wash, yet the scent on him seemed completely different from when she used it. It was even more pleasant, like rosemary, making her want to inch closer to him.
’Who’s the real pervert here?’ The answer was now crystal clear.
Hazel cursed herself internally, but her eyes and her mind were uncontrollably drawn to Aiden. She even started imagining his strong body, which radiated an irresistible charm from head to toe.
’How shameful.’ Hazel clutched the blanket, lightly tapping her chest with a small fist. ’So pathetic. To think I let Aiden get to me.’
In the middle of the night, Hazel unconsciously leaned against Aiden. Her small movements woke him up. He saw her restless little hands roaming all over his body, while her eyes remained tightly shut.
’Is Hazel having a wet dream?’
The thought popped into Aiden’s head. Her expression was enough to make his imagination run wild, to say nothing of her restless hands constantly caressing his chest. He grabbed her hand to stop her. He was a healthy man; if she kept this up, he was bound to react.
Her hand restrained, Hazel grumbled, pouting as she rolled over and hugged Aiden directly. Her face, turned towards his, was a picture of unsatisfied desire.
Aiden wanted to laugh but didn’t dare, afraid he might wake her. If she woke up, he wouldn’t get to enjoy watching her like this.
「The next day.」
When Hazel woke up, Aiden was already gone. She reached out to the empty space beside her and could still feel the warmth he’d left behind. She hugged the blanket tightly, her legs clamping around it. She seemed to have had a wet dream last night.
’I think I dreamed about Aiden... but it was a wet dream!’
Hazel’s face turned beet red. The more she recalled the dream, the more her shame grew. ’Why do I feel a little... unsatisfied?’
Hazel cursed herself while feeling frustrated, questioning why she would have a wet dream, especially one with Aiden.
She shook her head hard and quickly tidied herself up. Downstairs, she found Aiden at the dining table, eating breakfast while reading the morning’s financial paper. She snuck a glance at him but didn’t notice anything unusual. ’Does he know I had a wet dream last night?’
’If he knows, I’ll die of embarrassment.’
From the moment Hazel sat down, Aiden noticed her sneaking glances at him. He knew why, but he deliberately questioned her, "Why do you keep stealing glances at me?"
"I wasn’t looking at you! What are you talking about?"
"I’m sitting right in front of you. If you want to look, just look openly. I never said you couldn’t."
"You’re so narcissistic! Who said I was looking at you? I was clearly looking at the newspaper in your hands."
Hazel was being stubborn, refusing to admit it even after being caught red-handed. But Aiden’s next words made her spray the mouthful of milk she was drinking all over his clothes.
"What were you dreaming about last night? You couldn’t stop molesting me."
"..." The milk sprayed all over Aiden. He shot up, glaring at Hazel with fury. "What are you doing?"
"I touched you last night?" Hazel asked in disbelief. She admitted to herself that she’d had a wet dream about him, but surely she hadn’t actually groped him?
Aiden tossed the newspaper aside, preparing to change his clothes. Hearing Hazel’s question, he turned back and said with a completely serious face, "Yes. I told you to stop, but you wouldn’t listen. You kept it up all night, only stopping once you’d had your fill."
"Because of you, I didn’t sleep well at all last night."
Hazel’s face instantly turned scarlet. She didn’t dare look Aiden in the eye, terrified he would see that she’d had a wet dream. She had no idea how to face him now that she knew she’d actually molested him.
While Aiden was upstairs changing, Hazel didn’t dare wait to leave with him. She took a sip of milk, ate nothing, grabbed her bag, and fled as if for her life, driving away from the house.
From the second floor, Aiden saw Hazel’s hasty retreat, and the corners of his mouth lifted into an irrepressible smile.
-------------------------------------
Because of the wet dream and harassing Aiden, Hazel was listless at work all day. Even when she saw Sharon Winters back at her desk, she just greeted her spiritlessly, accepted Sharon’s enthusiastic hug, and then sat quietly at her own desk without a word.
"What’s wrong? Aren’t you happy to see me back?"
"It’s not that."
"Hazel, you have no idea how happy I was when HR called me to come back to work. I thought I’d never be this close to my idol again. I really have to thank you this time. If it weren’t for you, I definitely wouldn’t have been able to come back."
"Don’t mention it. You were fired because of me, too. I just didn’t want you to get dragged into this." Hazel rested her head on the desk, speaking listlessly. "Chloe Lee was targeting me. Since she couldn’t get to me, she went after you. In the end, you were fired because of me."
"Hazel, why are you so down so early in the morning?" Sharon reached out and touched Hazel’s forehead. "You don’t have a fever. Why is your face so red?"
"Red?" Hazel immediately asked Sharon for a mirror. She looked at her reflection; her face was as red as a baboon’s behind. She mentally kicked herself, trying to force herself not to think about what Aiden had said to her this morning.
’But I can’t stop! Especially when I think of that teasing look in his eyes. I just know he knows I had a wet dream.’
"What’s really wrong with you? Tell me. If you’re sick, you should go to the hospital."
Hazel sighed dejectedly. She wasn’t angry, just spooked by last night’s dream. "I’m fine. Let’s just get to work. Let me have some quiet time and I’ll be okay."
Sharon said, "Oh," and then, as if remembering something, leaned close to Hazel’s ear and whispered, "I heard Mr. Sterling told Chloe Lee to go home and rest for a week before coming back to work. We can finally have a week of peace."
Aiden hurriedly chased after her and grabbed her hand. "Why are you being so stubborn when you know you’re drunk?"
"Whether I’m drunk or being stubborn has nothing to do with you! In what capacity are you trying to control me?" Hazel shoved Aiden hard. Her head was spinning, and she had no idea how much force she’d used, but she actually managed to push him away.
Caught off guard, Aiden nearly stumbled and fell.
"Aiden Xavier, weren’t you with Raina Lowell? Aren’t you afraid she’ll get angry if she finds out you’re here now?" Hazel’s gaze remained cold as she looked at him, her eyes devoid of any emotion, as if she were looking at a stranger.
Before, a long time ago, Hazel would also look at him with such eyes, but it never used to bother Aiden. Now, seeing that expression on her face again, Aiden felt a lump in his throat.
"It’s not easy to explain what’s going on between me and Raina right now."
Hazel pushed Aiden away as he tried to get closer, saying word by word, "I know. You don’t need to explain it to me. It’s just another story about love and passion. Your tragic love story with Raina Lowell has been the talk of the town. Do I really need you to tell me about it?"
Hazel took a deep breath. As she swayed on her feet, Sharon Winters immediately rushed forward to support her, whispering, "You’ve had too much to drink. Don’t fight with Aiden now. I’ll have him take you home. You can sort things out tomorrow when you’re sober."
As if she hadn’t heard Sharon, Hazel spoke directly to Aiden. "I’ve said it before, I won’t stop you from finding your own happiness. If you want, I can grant you a divorce immediately. Whether you want to marry Raina Lowell or some other woman, I won’t stand in your way."
Hearing Hazel mention divorce, Sharon realized she couldn’t let the situation escalate. She tried to force Hazel into her car, but Aiden lunged forward in a single motion and slung Hazel over his shoulder.
"You should go. I’ll take her home."
Seeing Sharon’s worried expression and her lips parting as if to speak, Aiden seemed to know what she was going to say and cut her off. "Don’t worry. She’s drunk. I won’t take anything she says to heart."
Sharon still wasn’t convinced, but Aiden was Hazel’s husband. She had no reason to stop him from taking Hazel away.
She could only hope Hazel would be able to fend for herself tomorrow.
Aiden forcibly secured Hazel in the passenger seat. She struggled with all her might, but the seatbelt restricted her movements. She opened her eyes to a blurry world. The scenery outside was a kaleidoscope of colors, pedestrians had multiple shadows, and the car headlights looked like blooming stars.
She was one step short of mistaking the streetlights for the moon. Exhausted from her struggling, Hazel leaned back against the seat, her eyes half-closed as she seriously studied Aiden’s side profile.
’Why is it Aiden? Why does it always have to be Aiden?’
Why was Aiden like a spell she couldn’t break, a lingering presence in her heart she couldn’t shake? The secret she had tried so hard to hide felt like it was about to burst free.
