Who’s there?" Olivia quickly turned her head toward the door. A wave of fear made her want to understand what was outside. She lowered her head. Through the peephole, she could clearly see a pair of feet standing right in front of the door. She rushed toward the door and turned the doorknob. As soon as she opened it, no one was outside. It’s weird.

She closed the door and wondered if what she saw earlier was just a mistake.

"Why do so many strange things happen tonight?" she wondered, feeling a mix of confusion and unease.

"I must have been too exhausted, because I started hallucinating things that didn’t exist," she whispered, her voice trembling. She went straight to her bed, feeling overwhelmed, and threw her body onto the mattress, her wide-open eyes snapping shut.

The next day

"Olivia, did you hear anything last night?" Celine asked her. She spoke nervously, glancing around the room, her arms wrapped tightly around herself. Olivia knitted her brows and looked at Celine with puzzlement.

"Hear what?" Olivia raised her left eyebrow with a hint of curiosity in her eyes. Celine suddenly, with one finger to her lips, shushed Olivia, her gaze darting nervously around the room.

"Yesterday, I startled awake by a knock and the pounding of feet rushing down the corridor," she told her as she froze in fear.

"I totally freaked out and held tight to my blanket. I’m so scared," she continued, her voice trembling with the memory.

Olivia suddenly recalled what happened last night.She has no idea that Celine also heard about the footsteps.

So, what I saw and heard last night must be real!!!!

The thought sent a shiver down her spine, making her question her own senses and heighten the story’s mystery. She wondered carefully until she no longer heard anything Celine said to her, her mind racing to process the strange occurrences.

Is it something related to the main event?

"Oliviaaa," Celine shouted. Olivia snapped back to reality. Celine pulled Olivia’s shirt aside because she was blocking the path. Olivia startled, quickly stepping aside and lowering her head,embarrassed.

She is trying to peek. She panics. A tall, strong man with green hazel eyes looked at them sharply as he passed by the two of them. Her mouth locked; she couldn’t say anything, but one thing came out of her mouth.

The name screamed inside her head. She nervously smiles when the duke takes a glance at her and Celine. The duke’s cold gaze swept over them for a brief second.

Olivia froze.

Her heart nearly stopped beating. Then he walked away with cold eyes like nothing had happened. Once the duke figure disappeared, Olivia took Celine’s hand and tried to walk as fast as they can. She was trembling as if she had been chased by someone a long time ago.

"I can’t with those eyes," Olivia gasped while

holding the basket, which was full of Ophilia’s clothes and belongings. Her chest heaved, lungs burning, as she tried to catch her breath.

Then she looks at Celine, who is doing the same thing as her. She laughed and chuckled, swatting her hand as she joked with Celine.

"Sorry, Celine, actually, I like running," she said with an innocent smile.

"Huhhhhh, what’s the point?" Celine asked, then smiled, a little "annoyed mark" above her head, but it was more playful than angry. Olivia just scratched her head while putting her hands together as if begging for forgiveness. Celine inhaled and smiled.

"It’s okay, but when are you gonna start washing those clothes?" Celine said, and a grin appeared on her face.

"Aaaahhhh, that’s not cool, Celine," Olivia said and pouted while her hand reached the washing board. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Celine chuckles and tries to look around. Olivia, with her tiny hand, started rubbing the clothes and crying inside. One hour later, she was still washing. Celine became bored.

"How nice it would be to have a washing machine," Olivia muttered while sobbing about her fate. Celine, beside Olivia, tilts her head. She doesn’t understand the meaning of her words.

Olivia continues, "I know you can’t understand what I’m saying, but I know what I’m saying."

She said while continuing to say the same words

Celine stared at Olivia, full of confusion.

"Maybe she has a syndrome." Then she shook her head and continued collecting the flowers.

After 30 minutes, she finally finished all the clothes. She stood up and stretches her leg, arm, and back. Then, she started hanging the laundry under the blazing sun. After she finished all her work, she tried to call Celine, who was in her own world.

"Celineee, let go insideeee, I’ve already done" she shouted. The strong wind blew through Celine’s long hair. She quickly tucked it behind her ear and ran toward Olivia, who was waiting for her. Along with a smile and chit-chat, both of them went inside together and headed toward Ophilia’s room.

As soon as they knocked on the door, a lot of servants went out from Ophilia’s room. Some of them are holding a dress, some are holding a ton of jewellery and ornaments. The other servant comes out from that room. Olivia and Celine are freezing in one corner, looking at them.

"Do you know what happened?" Olivia asked Celine. Celine shakes her head. Olivia lift both her shoulders. Both were standing like outcasts’ bodyguards. Olivia leaned against the wall, watching peacefully while wearing black eyeglasses and munching on popcorn as if she were watching a live drama. "Do you want some?" Olivia handed the popcorn to Celine. Celine, with her poker face, takes the popcorn.

"This is heaven," she said, because neither of them has any work to do.

As soon as Olivia and Celine enjoy the moment watching them, the door opens.

They startle and stand straight like an army. But it’s just the prince, Avelvion, who seems to be searching for someone. Celine, who was near the door, said, "Oh, the spoiled prince."

Celine, with a straight face, looked at Avelvion. Olivia jolted upon hearing what Celine said, which was unexpected. She then tries to see if what Celine says is true.

When Olivia tilted her head slightly, her eyes suddenly met Prince Avelvion’s gaze. It’s taken 5 seconds to realize. Prince Avelvion quickly looked away when his eyes met. A faint blush spread across his face, as if he had been caught doing something embarrassing. She then made a signal using her hand.....

She drew it in the air.

Celine then turns

The prince who looked away turns his face slowly to her. His eyebrows knit together. Doesn’t understand what she’s doing. He mouthed her.

Olivia replied, "R U OKKK? She then smiled brightly.

Avelvion then tried to read her lips. When he caught her question, he nodded awkwardly, trying to hide his embarrassment.

"That’s good to hear," she quickly responded, giving him a thumbs-up and smiling. He quickly looked away, then stepped on his foot outside the door. When he stepped outside, he held his chest. His body feels strange. He has never felt something like this.

"Why does she look at me like that? That weirdo!!" he muttered and continued walking. But not long after that, he feels a strange feeling come over him, as if he had forgotten something important. He held her head to remember, but unfortunately, he had completely forgotten.

Meanwhile, both Olivia and Celine are still enjoying their show. After Avelvion left, Olivia breathed a sigh of relief. "No one bothered usss now HEHEHHEH" Olivia shouted slowly.

The current show is to pick the most suitable dress for her grace, Ophilia. Celine and Olivia take it seriously and have begun to try everything they choose. The servant who sees them always making a weird reaction. Their expressions shifted rapidly, making Olivia confused. Most importantly Ophilia seems to enjoy the moment. Her lips often smile while looked at them two.

Then that’s how their day was spent. After that long day, she, as usual, went back to her room and prepared herself to go to bed. After all the things she had done that day, her eyes quickly grew heavy and soon drifted shut. Just as sleep was about to claim her, she caught a glimpse of a silver-haired figure sitting quietly beside her.
