The Unlimited Ascension: Reborn as an Extra

Inside the White Haven.

Alen and Ravena had finally completed the bond and agreed to go on a journey together. However, the peacefulness of the realm was quickly broken.

Little Ravena’s high-pitched voice kept echoing through the quiet White Haven.

"Hey, tell me what happened earlier! Hey, don’t ignore me! Tell me, when that halo sucked us in, why didn’t we die? Our souls should have shattered!"

Ravena had kept asking Alen the exact same question ever since the moment they became partners. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

"I don’t know..." Alen grumbled in reply.

"No! You definitely know! Tell me, I want to hear what happened!"

Alen looked down at her and sighed. "Aren’t you acting exactly like a child throwing a tantrum right now? If the past you could see the current you, she would have died of sheer shame."

Ravena glared at him with intense crimson eyes, though the tips of her ears turned bright red in embarrassment.

"No! I am not throwing a tantrum! Just f*cking tell me what happened earlier!"

Alen sighed again. Turning to face her, he folded his arms across his chest. "Okay, okay..."

She stepped closer to him, eagerly not wanting to miss a single word.

"Well, the thing is... it seems I am just so incredibly lucky that even the heavens are desperate to save me," Alen declared with a confident, proud expression.

Ravena stared at him with blank, emotionless eyes. She already knew he was lying.

"Bullshit! Just tell me what the hell happened. Don’t beat around the bush, or I’ll beat you if you dare lie to me again!"

Alen completely ignored her threat. He closed his eyes and sat down to meditate, focusing entirely on stabilizing his newly acquired rank. This place was quiet and calm—the absolute best environment for deep concentration. Before traveling back to Asterion, it was the perfect opportunity to solidify his growing strength.

Ravena watched Alen ignore her. She became utterly furious and stomped toward him.

A spark of crimson energy emitted from her tiny hands. She threw her small fist directly at Alen’s face with all the strength she could muster.

But just as her fist nearly touched Alen’s skin, it suddenly halted. It felt as if an invisible force had forcibly caught her arm. She stared at her own fist in shock; her body simply wouldn’t allow her to hurt him.

She tried again, swinging her other small hand. But it also halted in mid-air before it could strike him. Her body completely rejected her commands, refusing to let her harm her master.

She instantly realized what was happening.

’Damn it! That bastard’s Oath has fully taken effect! I can’t even hit him now!’

Still in his meditative state, Alen gave a smug smile. He could sense that she had tried to attack him because her intent was rendered completely ineffective by the bond, but he still felt a little pity for her.

Seeing his smug face, Ravena felt like she should just dig a hole in the ground and hide inside it instead of going along with him. She let out a long, defeated sigh and sat down on the white floor. She felt extremely tired—not physically, but mentally. Having been reduced to a toddler stage, her power had decreased to a massive extent.

After a few hours passed in complete silence, Alen finally stabilized his rank. He stood up calmly, stretching his stiff muscles.

He looked around the vast White Haven. The place was incredibly quiet, but he didn’t feel lonely. It was as if this space had been made purely for peace. He didn’t feel anger, sorrow, or any other strong emotions here.

Not that he wanted to feel them anyway. He knew that raw emotion usually resulted in a person’s loss rather than anything good.

Anger, in particular, was just a sudden negative shift in behavior that often led to self-destruction or hurt the people around you.

If a person lived their whole life blaming others or staying angry, their relationships would grow distant, their perspective would narrow, and they would lose the ability to judge right from wrong.

But in this realm, no such burdensome feelings existed. It was as if any other emotions had yet to even manifest here.

Alen looked down at the little girl.

"Hey, Little Ravena. Let’s go to the real world now."

She looked up at him with a sleepy gaze and slowly stood up on her tiny feet.

"Okay, let’s go then."

With a casual flick of her tiny finger, the space around them warped. In the blink of an eye, Alen found himself standing back in the Crimson Sky realm, surrounded by the dried wastelands and the blood-red sky.

Alen stared at her in sheer confusion as she casually walked past him.

"Why did you bring us back to this place?" Alen asked.

Ravena looked back at him with a clueless gaze.

"Hey, little girl. I said it’s time to go. Open the portal so we can leave for the real world!"

She stared at him and replied in a flat, emotionless tone.

"I can’t open a portal to Asterion."

"Wait—hold on! What the f*ck are you saying?"

"I can’t open a portal to Asterion," she repeated calmly.

"My power has been heavily suppressed by the universe. I can’t even use my magical projections anymore. How am I supposed to rip open an interdimensional portal?"

Alen stared at her blankly.

"So you are telling me we are stuck here?! I don’t want to stay in this disgusting place with no entertainment! Do something, you stupid weapon!"

"Hey! Don’t call me a weapon!"

"Why not?! You are a weapon!"

Both of them glared at each other fiercely, looking as if they were ready to strangle one another.

After a few tense moments, Alen finally sighed, calming himself down. He rubbed his temples and asked in a tired tone,

"Do you have any other method to leave this place? Or do you want me to start building a house here? At this rate, our grand journey is going to end before it even gets started."

"Let me think..."

Little Ravena turned serious at the thought of being trapped in her old prison again. She folded her tiny arms across her chest and narrowed her crimson eyes in deep thought.

Suddenly, she remembered something. She looked up at him, her tone deadly serious.

"There is one method to leave this place... but it will be incredibly dangerous. It could even cost us our lives if we go through that way."
